sneeze

1232362 tn?1333135406 My cats have upper respiratory infections (being spread amongst themselves by violent sneezing despite my best efforts) and I'm wondering if I can pick this up from them. I have asthma and am prone to these infections myself and have had both walking and regular pneumonia a few times. I'm taking all the regular precautions: washing my hands, etc.
3170462 tn?1344717552 Three years ago, my husband and I adopted two cats. They're brothers, Alvin and Simon, and were a year old when we got them. Before they came to our home, they lived with a friend who runs a Second Chance operation from her home. She found them as kittens (mum was killed by a possum) and weaned them. Both cats were well treated. When we first took them, our friend mentioned that Alvin had started sneezing. We didn't think anything of it. Cats sneeze.
1632896 tn?1299942340 I doubt that the sneezing has anything to do with being happy. Sneezing is cats is for the same reasons as it is in humans. Irritation, blockage, allergic reaction, or sinus infection. If there are no other symptoms (eye or nose draining, wheezing, difficulty breathing), it is most likely due to some temporary irritation or blockage such as inhaling a bit of food or litter dust, or even from playing with a feathery or furry toy.
647911 tn?1373314647 Our cat who is turning 12 yrs old has caught sometype of cold, he has been sneezing with a runny nose, for the last 4 days, well the other nite is eye was really sealed shut, and looked infected the next morning it looked like it has cleared up and he seems more active and comes to watch T.V.
Avatar f tn He could also have a simple case of allergies. It is September, and many of the fall plants that affect humans with allergies also affect dogs. Also, like humans, dogs can develop allergies at any time, even if they have never been affected by them before. However, like with anything else, the only way to tell would be to take him to a vet for evaluation. Please post back and let us know what happens.
Avatar f tn Hello & Welcome... Oh dear, no no no...unless your mom is a VET, please do not continue with this antibiotic. You are not giving the entire pill are you? You would have to go by kitty's weight which is a fraction of a humans. Second, you have no idea what KIND of infection your kitty may or may not have, making whatever you are giving useless as it might not be an infection at all.
Avatar m tn My daughter has had a cold for two days and after that she started getting blood in her snot while sneezing. Now, she is even getting blood in snot when she is spitting the snot from her nose. Is this normal? She recently turned 12 years old. I am worried. Please answer if you have experienced the same thing.
Avatar m tn Hi Ahmed34, The swelling in the nose is a common anatomical structure which is called turbinate and humans have a set of 3 turbinates in both the nostrils, this helps in warming and humidification of the air we inhale. We can usually see the lower most pair of turbinates on the either side of the nostril. It obviously gets enlarged during the attacks of common cold and appears red because of the congestion.
306594 tn?1443387857 ve wiped his nose several times and he is also sneezing and keeps swallowing the mucus. I just wish he could blow his nose the way humans do - I feel so sorry for him. Anyway it comes and goes and I don't know what it could be, has anyone else had this problem?, this is the first year he's ever had it so I'm wondering maybe his age has something to do with it. thanks.
Avatar n tn during a sneezing fit (allergies time of year) I broke a blood vessel in my eyeball.
Avatar f tn This was never happend to me before, when I sneezed a mucus with blood and when I search it in google, others said that if you sneezed a mucus with blood, you must stop blowing your nose. Is it true?
Avatar n tn If the vaporizer contains all the things humans use for cold symptoms (Eucalyptus/Menthol, etc), it might not be the vest thing for a dog, and cause more irritation? She is so very small that I have to say I don't know what would be a safe but effective dose of Benadryl (in case it is an allergy) 4lbs is very tiny. All in all, check it out with the vet, I think.
Avatar n tn These are called subconjunctival hemorrhages, and are harmless to the eye and do not hurt the vision. They can result from injury, high blood pressure, taking blood thinners, straining, coughing, sneezing, contact lens wear. Despite their appearance, they are not dangerous. There is no way to prevent them. If you have recurrent hemorrhages, I would have a work-up with your medical doctor to be sure you do not have a clotting disorder, but this is very rare.
Avatar f tn I live on a farm and have many barn cats. Last fall I noticed many of them sneezing, and they have leaky eyes and now that winter is here they are really coughing and sneezing with eyes and noses that are leaking. I feel so sorry for them and I don't know what they have? I have been giving them lots of warm meals and cleaning their eyes and noses. Thank you.
Avatar f tn High concentrations are really dangerous, but low concentrations could be tolerated by other humans. You can have a blood test to check the levels of ammonia in your blood, but I’ve not got round to investigating it yet. I’m convinced it’s a gas or a toxin linked to one of our bio-chemical body reactions. One day it will all make sense.
Avatar n tn Sudden onset or temporary clear discharge from the eyes can be caused by injury (although this is unlikely if the discharge is from both eyes), allergic reaction or an upper respiratory tract infection - just like when humans get watery eyes when suffering from a cold. If your cat has a respiratory infection he is likely to also develop a wet nose.
1796826 tn?1578874779 True altruisim exists rarely in nature ouside of humans, and it seems to me that it exists rarely in humans execpt in places like this! Moving on, I have a question and some thoughts and feelings to list that may put the question into context. My question is a simple one: So how the hell am I supposed to feell at day 10? Here's how I think I DO feel: Alive, more alive than I've ever been because you don't know what you have until you lose it. Pretty much back to 90% functioning.
Avatar f tn I have a cat..shes been spayed n declawed n front...I found her n the rain one night n wall mart parking lot just wondering around..so I brought her home.Ive had her now for almost 4 years...she all of a sudden started sneezing constantly...and I noticed she just wasn't feeling good...she for some reason started drinking her water with her paw n getting it wet n her bowl n then licking it frm her paw?her eyes r runny n she's still snezzing bad...
Avatar f tn They have many names for it, but lots of women report having sneezing, stuffy nose, etc symptoms. All the extra blood can swell your sinuses and make you sneeze! Sneezing constantly has been my only prego symptom, thankfully, but yes it is kind of crazy. My office says I'm allergic to work now. Ha!
425312 tn?1279966179 congrats on your day 20 ! you should be proud of yourself... I'm giggling at your sneezing fit, sorry... since I got clean I can't help but laugh alot... wondering if I'm going slowly nuts or forgetting that I was this way prior to the meds !! I don't think the methadone can get out of your body through sneezing but I can tell you that it's perfectly normal.. I sneezed and sneezed as well and I still have moments of sneezing bouts, so you're not alone Skippy !!!
2083688 tn?1334601661 not only that but they are so satisfying when you do! they actually say that sneezing is close to a tiny orgasm! i always figure you are sneezing for a reason. i don't understand why you would hold them back every time. so i challenge you to let the sneeze out and see how it feels.
Avatar n tn This is kind of strange but every time any form of heat turns on my nose and sinuses go crazy. I get incredible sinus pressure, my eyes water, I start sneezing continuously, and sometimes it is so hard to breath that I can't talk (It just feels like my throat is closing up). It won't take long for this to happen but it is especially fast/bad when I am in a car right next to the vent, which makes things interesting in the wintertime.
1102792 tn?1285925260 t get up to grab some drugs cos of severe shortage of breath, what saved me was my wife rushing to the nearest drug store and buyin a ventolin inhaler, franol (ephedrine+theophyline) and prednisolone, i felt better immediately but i still feel the asthma lurking in the backgrounds, especially when the sneezing bouts start, i usually ward it off with ventolin inhaler, i know i shud probably be taking the tablets but that puts alot of stress on my heart since i have chest pains due to hbp with sig
Avatar n tn This is called a subconunctival hemorrhage and can be caused by coughing, sneezing, hard straining, and eye rubbing. Sometimes occurs for no apparent reason. Usually totally painless. Often, worsened by taking aspirin or other blood thinners. You should go ahead and see an ophthalmologist since you have some associated headaches.
