sleep

Avatar m tn Congrats on day 7, sleep is hard to come by at first. what are you taking to sleep? glad your feeling a bit better now.
Avatar f tn t have one now try the old pillow between the legs, cool dark room, warm bath before bed in lavender bubble bath(lavender promotes sleep). No caffine 3 hours before bed and eat something with a carbohydrates close to bed like crackers and milk. The carbs close to bed make you relax as well. Good luck.

Avatar f tn It hurt so bad to turn and to actually get out of the bed. Sleep and I have a love hate relationship right now! Not sure why it hurt so bad. This is baby number 4 for me and it seem like each pregnancy worsened.
867582 tn?1311627397 Ever heard of a CPAP machine causing shocks? It is on a wooden table not touching my bed. Also, I have an electric bed and an electric blanket (that was not on). Could MS cause such a thing? Don't think my neck was flexed. It was a full-body shock. Has anyone here ever experienced or known of someone who experienced such a thing? Is is neuro-related? I'd appreciate any leads. Thanks!
Avatar f tn I am currently 37weeks 3days and sleep I have not a clue what that is. The days drag by cuz I'm so tired cuz I lay in bed all night tossing and turning cuz I'm so uncomfortable. I've always heard well once baby gets here u wnt get any sleep but I haven't found that true. I guess I must just have really good babies. Thus will be my third and for me I get more sleep once there born then I do at the end of pregnancy.
Avatar m tn While shortness of breath is a symptom suffered by some, a sleep study is done generally for patients who suffer from a condition known as sleep apnea. During sleep apnea you have periods of no breathing which eventually wake you with a gasp for air. It is treated by wearing Bipap oxygen at bed time. Lastly, your Dr should be able to determine if this test is necessary for you :-) Good luck.
4268628 tn?1375041176 ve had this issue since end of first trimester. Ugh. I miss sleep. Went to bed at 11 even taking a Benadryl to sleep....n up by 3.
Avatar f tn Thanks for your advice. I have tried on a number of times to get her to bed but as soon as i leave she is up and following me. I feel really guilty because i have shouted at her alot over this sleep problem and i know it would not have helped her at all. It has got to the stage where we are both tense every night at the thought of what we have to go through. I also live in a rented house so if my landlord gets any complaints about noise from my house i will be thrown out.
Avatar f tn -(. Unless my 2 1/2 year old wakes up and comes to bed then I can half sleep cuddling him, though that isn't really helpful to him lol.
Avatar f tn I have one of them memory form in my bed is it ok to sleep on my belly???
1687929 tn?1319426011 A Sleep Number bed maybe...those are expensive though. For me the pillow matters more than the bed.
1538185 tn?1292723992 continuous sleep because i wake up to relieve the green and yellowish mucus. I went for a sleep study and was told i have severe sleep apthnea @ 43 eposides per hr....I think it is only because of my severe mucus problem..i am 63yrs old and seems the problem is getting worse every year....also i have been gaining weight over the last 5 yrs. also....I know of no-one who has this problem....I have been on Prevacid for at least 7 yrs now...i do have very bad acid reflux...
377493 tn?1356502149 t think this would be an apnea issue though, as the issue is more he just plain is refusing to go to bed/sleep. For a very long time now he has gone to bed in his own bed, and only come in to our room when he wakes up in the middle of the night. This is more a crazy spurt of energy at bed time, and he just will not settle down. Thanks though -apnea is a valid issue and is something we have looked into with previous sleep concerns.
Avatar f tn I have a three year old that is so attached to me that she will not sleep by herself. She sleep in the same room with my 8 year old but still needs me in the room with her. We gone as far as to lie to her and say that I have gone to the store and my husband, her father, puts her to bed, and she ususally sleeps all night long if she thinks that I'm gone.
Avatar f tn Once during this pregnancy I went to the restroom in the middle of the night and when I woke up, I couldn't remember how I'd gotten back to my bed. I was so tired it was as if I was black out drunk. No memory from the bathroom to my bed. I'm so thankful for the sleep number bed we splurged on at tax time. I didn't think I'd reap the benefits until after baby was born because I figured I'd be super uncomfortable anyway.
1819938 tn?1317140687 Is your insomnia caused by something? like anxiety? or just not being able to stop thinking? You could try reading a boring book, taking a warm bath before bed, or drink something warm with no sugar or caffein. Don't eat a few hours before bedtime or go on the computer or watch tv. The trick is to not stimulate your brain before bed, and to get your body into a routine.

996946 tn?1503249112 Our 42nd anniversary is 12-12-12! My husband really does sleep a lot better than I do...he also likes to go to bed early....like around 9:30! So no wonder I wake up by 3 or 4!
Avatar f tn Okay, so I'm 7w5d prego and I'm having the WORST sleep schedule.
Avatar m tn Hi, your symptoms are suggestive of Nightmare disorder, or dream anxiety disorder, which is a sleep disorder characterized by frequent nightmares or vivid dreams. Nightmare can be defined type of a dream wherein the individuals will be left in a situation where it jeopardizes their life or personal safety, usually occur during the second half of the sleeping process, called the REM stage. It can occur normally in persons but in this disorder it occurs at higher frequency.
Avatar f tn re able to discriminate between when you got to BED (or, if for ex. you read or watch telly in bed, when you stopped everything and tried to sleep) and when you finally got to SLEEP. When you have insomnias, it's something important to record. Do you have 30min insomnias every night? 2hrs once in a while? Also, how many times did you wake up, if any? (for how long, if applicable?) And did you wake up earlier than you wanted? (another type of insomnia).
Avatar m tn I was recommended by my physical therapist to get a Sleep Number bed as opposed to a Memory foam because you can set how firm or soft you want it. I got my Sleep Number bed last November, and when I don't sleep on it (on vacation, at my parent's house), I definitely see a difference and I long for MY bed. Sometimes they have factory sales, and we got ours for like 30% off.
Avatar n tn the last thing i remember doing was putting my 6 1/2months old to sleep and i went to sleep..i do not remember waking up, getting her off her bed and putting her on my bed. i been taking synthroid med and now i wonder if it has anything to do with it...is this something i should worry about and call my doc?
Avatar f tn I literally crawl into bed at 3 every night, even though I'm not tired and lay there forever until I fall asleep and then get woke up super early by my kids and feel like crud. I'm so miserable and cranky because of it.
Avatar f tn I just want to stay in bed all day and sleep. why is this ftm and I am 37+1 weeks?
Avatar n tn I was just recently diagnosed with type2. I can't seem to get my morning number below 110.
