Avatar m tn How reliable is oraquick at home oral HIV test? I have looked online and everything I have found is by manufacturer. I want to test myself and know my status and move on from there. The fear of not knowing sucks. Worrying won't change results. Can I use this test and know that the results it gives it is valid.
Avatar f tn i have finally decided to quit im so scared though because on top of the withdrawls i know there will so much other emotional pain to deal with so should i go to a treatment center or just do it at home i dont know which woudl be easier
Avatar f tn At night, repair them with creams formulated from glycolic acid—a must for improving skin texture and tone. For a more intensive nighttime treatment, apply cream and then cover hands with gloves or socks. If the symptoms worsen or persist then please consult a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.
1305725 tn?1277498913 My warts have completely fallen off! I am so happy I found this home remedy treatment and would recommend it to anybody with any type of wart(s). My advice is this: Soak a piece of cotton in ACV and use med tape to attach it to your skin (make sure the tape doesn't stick to any hairs or you'll end up giving yourself a waxing when you wake up.. OUCH!!) As much as it may sting to have it there, keep the ACV cotton on all night while you're sleeping.
Avatar f tn The acv treatment really does work great, it's gotten rid of any wart I've had.

Avatar m tn Hello, I just found out that similar to "At-Home" tests that diabetics use, they also sell "at home" allergy blood tests that will tell you whether you are allergic to something or not. I know that it is not as thorough as the skin pr!ck test, but it's "something". Have any of you successfully used any? Any brand names or information that you would be able to recommend? Thanks.
393685 tn?1425812522 Is there any kind of way a thyroid patient can check their levels at home periodically? You know like diabetics do? I am certain we can't draw our blood - but is there a panel we can use?
1139089 tn?1260884301 Ok, so this is my second post, and hopefully I'll get an answer. I tried a home remedy of using apple cider vinegar to remove the small wart on my nose. Unfortunately, I covered too big of an area (good skin near the wart) and the area got greenish yellow in color. It then peeled off, leaving a small hole behind. Here is a picture. Skin appears to have grown back, but I still have the hole. Can this be fixed??
5748503 tn?1373869126 Thank you, Mrs Rios. Yes, dead skin soughing off will happen. This makes way for new skin to grow under it. Allow this to happen on it's own, without trying to 'help' it along by peeling it yourself. Your body will heal itself, maybe not as soon as you would like, but you must allow this to happen naturally, or you run the risk of infection by peeling skin off that is not ready to come off on its own. I recommend eating M&M's. :-) They always make ME feel better!
Avatar f tn Has anyone completely quit morphine at home? My doctor wants me to quit but offers no guidance.
Avatar f tn It can be treated but it commonly has recurrences also and there are no home remedies for psoriasis. So a regular treatment is required for this. Treatment options include Ointment and creams containing coal tar, dithranol (anthralin), corticosteroids like desoximetasone (Topicort), vitamin D3 analogues (for example, calcipotriol), and retinoids,Psoralen+UVA and PUVB therapy. Over time, psoriasis can become resistant to a specific therapy.
Avatar n tn Hello, Since the itching is more at night, then scabies can be a possibility. It is an infestation of the skin with the Sarcoptes scabiei mite. It is characterized by intense itching, usually at night and by small insect-type bites lesions on the skin. Diagnosis of scabies is made by scraping the skin and viewing the material under a microscope to see the characteristic mite or eggs. I feel that you should get it evaluated from a dermatologist and get the diagnosis confirmed. Hope it helps.
Avatar m tn I heard something about not using talc on them, any truth? if anyone has any other at home remedies for lesions or anything that can help ? oh and if anyone has taken valtrax or anything similar please share too! THANKSSS!!!
Avatar f tn NS said he didn't find anything unexpected, and I don't think he was looking for anything in particular. He was also surprised at how quickly I noticed improvement in my breathing. I tire easily and my head/neck hurt constantly, but it's great to be at home! At least at home I can manage my own pain meds -- I didn't have a pump, so had to beg for meds all the time when pain got bad...then had to WAIT for pharmacy to send up my flexeril. So lame!
Avatar m tn Regarding my vacation at home detox, I made it 3 1/2 days. Couldn't sleep, eat and lost almost 10 lbs and just couldn't cold turkey it. I am going to discuss this with my doctor. Very anxious and in allot of pain and have no real support system. I recovered and still in recovery from alcohol in 2007 after a very intensive inpatient program. I just can't loose my job or life over this wicked addiction. Sorry. I am trying.
Avatar n tn hey, i am asian and yeah..asian does have a lot of home treatment coz we doesnt have clinic or doctor long time ago. i think u should try garlic.

Avatar n tn Phototherapy is usually done in the hospital, but in select cases, it can be done in the home if the baby is healthy and at low risk of complications. Infants undergoing phototherapy should have as much skin exposed to the light as possible. Infants are usually naked (or wearing only a diaper) in an open bassinet or warmer, but wear eye patches to protect the eyes. Phototherapy is stopped when bilirubin levels decline to a safe level.
Avatar f tn Can I safely detox at home or do I have to go to detox? I want to detox at home because if I am going to be miserable I would rather be somewhere where I can be comfortable. I have a lot of different health problems and suffer from chronic pain. My psychiatrist says he cannot help me unless I go into detox but I don't think that is because I can't detox at home I think that is just because he's covering his bottom.
936153 tn?1250280549 I went to the dermatologist last week as I have a marble sized cyst just near my elbow. She recommended I see a general surgeon to have it excised. She mentioned it would be a lengthy recovery time (up to 8 months) as it is in a bad spot, on a joint. It is not bothersome but it is unsightly. I have been putting castor oil and tumeric on a bandage and putting a heating pad on it the past few days in hopes of shrinking it down, but I'm afraid it is too big at this point.
