seroquel and alcohol

Hello and welcome to the forum, I wouldn't consider a six pack a week as heavy drinking. The knowledge that I have is that xanax and Seroquel do not have an impact on your liver. Also 50 mgs of Seroqeul is very low dose. I am on 600. However it looks like you have hepatitis c and you probably know you shouldn't drink because of that. There are likely a lot of medications that effect your liver.

how much seroquel, xanax, and alcohol causes an overdose. im qworried about my sister, she ha been prescribed xanax for 8 years now at 2mg a day, so her tolerance is well established. she is also an alcoholic. thankfully, she knows not to combine xanax while drinking, but what about the addition of seroquel? could she OD from the pill combination alone? would then the addition of alcohol just pretty much seal her fate?

I take 25mg seroquel at night and 200mg zoloft a day also. I plan on going to FL for vacation in July and when I get back I have to start Hep C treatments, I am going to drink one last time. Can I drink while Im on this med? I know that since I have been taking the seroquel I feel ALOT BETTER!! I was extremely depressed but now Im doin okay. I cant skip this med, Im afraid of that sever depression, but I also want ot let my hair down one last time. What would you suggest?

m no expert, this is my opinion, but I do take Seroquel and have been on a long car and bus ride, and roller coasters lol)

t have severe anxiety but I have met a lot of people on Remeron, Klonopin, and Seroquel (usually not at the same time) and although all of them are great for anxiety, some of it is cognitive. What has been going on in your life recently that has changed which made you want to start smoking marijuana? If you just had a minor elevation in anxiety than talk to your therapist (if you have one) and ask them what you can do along with the meds to pull you out of it.

From personal experience (I take Lamictal and Seroquel), meds and alcohol do not mix very well. I have not had a seizure but I do not think it would be out of the question when mixing the two. I really can't give you a great answer because it is a huge unknown and I would rather not find out. It is better to play it safe. The only time I have ever blacked out was when I mixed the two - I would rather that not happen again. But also, it is hard to remain stable when consuming alcohol.

I also took seroquel 100 mgs to sleep. I would never take the Klonapine at night. And I would take the seroquel in the early morning while the alcohol wore off. A real healthy way of existing. Now, I am off the booze but due to my GAD I am told that I should take 4 mgs of xanax and possibly an anti depressant. I am currently taking 2 mgs of xanax a day. .05 4x daily. I do not know what to do. I am in such psycological pain because I am sober, feel like hell and the Dr.

I agree with the above posters and would like to add Seroquel and Alcohol are a very bad combination.. not only does it affect coordination but your thinking memory and everything else.. Really a bad bad combo.. It sounds like the Seroquel is prescribed the booze isn't.. I hope you give up the Alcohol as it will throw a Monkey wrench in everything you try.. Be kind to yourself..

ONE of the concerns I have about it, is blood pressure. Seroquel can raise your blood pressure greatly and b/c of this, you should take yours before taking a dose...on top of this, w/d seems to raise the bp too. Again, this is just ONE of my concerns...

Yeah when i was on the Suboxone stage of my painkiller addiction treatment one of the things that helped the most was this forum...and the help and support that every single person on here was and is willing to give... The people on here got me through a LOT of dark and hard days...now i have 215 days under my belt and I'm half way through my course to become a Drug and alcohol counselor...

I have ultradian bp which means I'm at the mercy of my moods most of the time.I'm on Seroquel 50mg at breakfast and 250mg at night. Some days I would say it helps take the edge off my moods and I feel like I can cope but most days I'm a tornado.

i m suppose to take 1 depakote during the day, and 1 depakote and 1 seroquel at night i was wondering did anyone every mix these two together and get good results from it or will i become a walking zombie and lose track of time and not be able to function like i should. I am in the last year of college and it is already hard as it is because i am fighting hard to concentrate because of my mood swings, migraines and my concentration period. plz your advice to me is truly welcome.

I believe you had posted that you could not tolerate a higher dose of Seroquel so something has to be added. Lithium, Depakoate and Lamictal are the standards and I personally found Lamictal to be the most tolerable. If you've tried those 3 on the links page there are other medications listed as well. You can talk this over with your psychiatrist.

I'm on 150mg of slow release Seroquel and I googled the interactions but theyre all big names lol. I have a cold and want to make some Neo-Citran (its actually a non-generic brand called Equate Hot Lemon Relief lol) and it has warning on the box not to mix with certain things but again I have no idea!

all i had was some ativan and seroquel to detox with (from alcohol, benzos and opiates), the ativan went quick (gone the second day) and i ended up taking massive amounts of seroquel to combat the shakes, hallucinations and insomnia. i made it through seven days of pure hell and decided to get out of the house. remember this was 7 days without booze and pills. i drove about 10 miles at highway speeds and soon after exiting onto residential streets i had a seizure as i was driving.

I tried taking it again, but everytime i did my body went right back into that crazy state. I finally went on to Lexapro and Seroquel, it took me awhile to feel perfectly better again but i have felt good for about 4 months. I take one 10 mg of Lexapro every morning , and one 25mg of Seroquel most nights. I think i skipped 2 night in weeks because i was drinking.

I'm a 24 year old male, who drinks about three times per week, twice more so in a binge drinking fashion. I've been diagnosed with OCD and possibly Panic Disorder, strong phobias. I was told I'm 'not' an alcoholic, at outpatient therapy. AA itself seems a little far fetched. I can still function, but at a minimal rate, problems holding down jobs, and keeping busy without serious panic problems.

My only concern about this is that I take a medication called Seroquel. Would seroquel affect the results of an hiv antibody test? I read that seroquel can weaken the immune system. Therefore, I thought it was possible it could affect the length of time my body would take to build up antibodies to HIV or possibly Hepatitis? Can you assess my risk? Should I wait until 6 months to take another test? What type of testing regimen do you suggest for my situation?

Just wondering.....when my husband was heavily addicted to percocets, oxys and valium, he had little or no sex drive....but it took about 2 years to get to that point. ( 60 percocets, 300mg oxy, 200mg valium daily...approx ) When he got onto the suboxone about 5 weeks ago, his libido came back with a vengeance. Now he's on 12 mg of sub, about 20 mg of klonopin, and 75 mg of seroquel. Can someone please tell me what this combination of drugs does to a person's sex drive?

Yes when I was on Seroquel I had to get an eye exam each year due to the extremely rare risk of cataracts but I saw an opthamologist anyway so it was no big deal. That is statisically rare and no reason to be concerned about Seroquel and a check up as I suggested is the best form of follow up. Seroquel is safe in this regard. In this case (you know I am always factual) your pharmacist was overstating the risk but a follow up visit is generally a good idea.

t have happenened. Okay now back to Seroquel. If a person goes off Seroquel and they need an antipsychotic, after a while the psychosis will return. If its treating mood stabilization same thing. That's not "addiction". That's the symptoms returning. That would be like saying if you went off insulin, your blood sugar level would get dangerously high. Of ocurse it would because the symptoms of diabetes would return.

Since seroquel can cause high BG you sure your diabetic and not as a result of seroquel raising your BG? Go to Google and put seroquel into the serch field.

I agree with u this use has to also stop, I think he is still in denial of his BP, he has agreed to me to stay off alcohol and give this seroquel an honest chance to see IF IT WILL STOP THOSE RACEY THOUGHTS ...they are literally driving him crazy..if NOT he will have to FACE the fact that it maybe the steroids that are interfering. he has used all these to self medicate himself over the years....it was a long time getting his dx'd with BP...

Yes when I took Seroquel I did at higher doses experience tachycardia (rapid heartbeat) which is a listed side effect of Seroquel on the medication package insert and website. Muscle stiffness of any kind can be a part of extra pyramidal side effects (temporary movement disorders) which can occur with any antipsychotic and can be treated with a side effect pill.

My first pregnancy i did bot use it and my daughter is very smart. I was wondering if any of you have used seroquel and delivered a healthy baby.

Has anyone taken Seroquel and anti-biotics and are now experiencing heart problems? Do these issues subside, I stopped the seroquel when this happened?
