Common Questions and Answers about Running foot over with car

foot

Avatar n tn this morning whilst out running, a car ran over my feet knocking me to the ground. A paramedic and police came. I have a bump on my head which hurts to touch. My feet felt ok after, but I think I was a bit shocked. My left foot starting to become fuzzy later in the afternoon, like pins and needles and it's gone quite cold. Is this nerve damage? Or is it a normal reaction?
Avatar f tn At first she was still mad at Erik for leaving, and she would hiss at him whenever he was near her. Over time she adjusted to him being around again. Over time she gained her weight back and now she is at a very healthy weight. These past few days she has sat in the big window watching the world go by. She has even gotten brave enough to venture out into the hallway. She has started running around like a crazy cat when she wants us to go to bed.

973741 tn?1342342773 Tempo runs on the track, springs on the track, running on trails and side walks, running through fields, running through fields bare foot, hills and lots of core conditioning. He wasn't very big on stretching. Their cool down was a 2 mile run. His coach was a track/field and cross country runner at Auburn. Not shabby. And he is young and has produced in his 5 years at the school a pretty successful CC team. We buy running shoes on a regular basis so he always has good shoes.
338416 tn?1420045702 I've been trying to lose weight the last few months, and it's been very difficult. Every time I lose a pound, I seem to gain it back the next day. So I started running again. At first I started running about seven minutes, until my foot started dragging and I was out of breath. I'm definitely out of condition! Right now I'm up to fifteen minutes before my foot starts dragging. Then I walk the rest of the way.
Avatar f tn this time I was with my wife who helped me to calm down, because if you get scare can be worst my HR went from 130 to 185 stayed there for 30 seconds and it went down again. After this I rested for 10min and went back on foot to the car, 3k more...  My wife says it can be a panic attack, due to stress, but I was feeling great, and I think, shouldn't it happen when I'm not running?
Avatar f tn I had a Collie who got MISERABLY carsick when he was a puppy. He would end up soaked to the bone from drool by the time we got wherever it was we were going. I used to put a sweatshirt on him to soak up the drool and keep his coat dry until we got him out of the car. To get him over this I started out by putting him in the car three or four times a day and moving the car from the driveway to the road and back again.
Avatar f tn Spot training is a myth, when you loose weight it comes off all over, not just one specific spot. Running 30 minutes a day is great exercise and unless you have underlying medical issues it shouldn't do anything but improve your health and help in weight loss. With the running a healthy diet should be in place as well.

Avatar m tn Think if the TSH test - (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) as the thorottle position on your car. The position of your foot on the thorottle is the indicator that tells your engine to speed up or slow down. TSH is a hormone that is produced by the Pituitary gland in your brain. It is supposed to accurately sense when there is too much or too little thyroid hormone in your blood.
Avatar n tn t listen. So I put my foot down which led to arguments. I understand that you need a new car seat to bring the baby home but you can use a non expired one tgat hasn't been in an accident. Does that make me ungrateful because I want the car seat new so I know?
Avatar n tn I am 30 years old and have a moderate bunion on my left foot. I was an athlete in college and still am very active. Lately, the more I run, the more my bunion hurts. It used to not bother me, but seems to have gotten bigger and more painful over the last couple of years. I'm not big on heels... only ever wear them for special occasions maybe a handful of times throughout the year and they are usually less than 2 inches anyway.
Avatar f tn i safely popped the blister with a sterile needle, drained it as much as possible and put a blister treatment pad over it and medical tape. i went running with this the next day (less than i usually run) and it started getting a little irritated again after like 35 mins, but not as bad. i stopped running and when i got home and looked at the blister it had formed again and was even bigger!! that night i popped it again and did the same thing. now its kind of just a sore flap of skin..

645800 tn?1466860955 At one point as I was watching him drive his truck jumped sideways by about a foot or so. No he had not gone over a bump or anything like that. It was like someone had put my vision on pause for a second and then resumed it again in real time so that I didn't see his truck move over that far. Needless to say this has me kind of freaked out.
1336659 tn?1275890125 Since my son's issues started he always said the left side of his body is worse than his right side. For months now he's been getting pins and needles and numbness in both feet and again his left foot is worse. Recently we went for new shoes and at his fitting we realized that his left foot is over a size smaller than his right. I don't know how we missed this because it's very obvious when he standing in his bare feet. I know most people have one foot smaller than the other.
Avatar n tn Plantar fasciitis, arthritis of small joints, diabetic neuropathy, hypothyroidism, high blood pressure, over weight, deep vein thrombosis, wrong foot wear, gout, etc are a few causes of foot pain. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. You may need to consult an orthopedic specialist and get X-ray and maybe MRI of the feet, nerve conduction studies, blood glucose examination etc. Take care!

1094370 tn?1317134825 I scuff the front of my left shoe and occasionally trip over raised sidewalk slabs. It is the beginning of foot drop. My calf muscles are pulling my foot down and my brain fails to understand where my foot really is (failure in proprioception.) It is somewhat common in MS and some other neurologic disorders.

Avatar f tn Believe it or not, this is not uncommon for competitive runners. Very annoying! Trying different shoes and socks was the right way to go but unfortunately, that didn't make a difference. You can try an ice or cool pack to your feet before and after running, foot powder to help, a foot spray for athletes foot. These things have been known to help. New shoes and socks or these methods does often solve the problem for runners.
