635835 tn?1272539383 I usually take Provigil too. It isn't a miracle I'm aware of as it kicks in. It's a very subtle difference that helps me get through days with more productivity and fewer naps. That is a miracle change looking back at when I was afraid I would fall asleep at the wheel and could barely arouse a thought. I was given a free month trial of Nuvigil.
Avatar m tn My question is, will i experience PAWS. If so how long will it take to get over it? Any idea? Thanks for any help you can provide.
Avatar f tn What I want to know is why do I have sheer exhaustion? I am so tired! How long will this last?
619930 tn?1260374254 I am thinking of starting with a half dose of 50mg at first to see how it goes and wondered about the possible skin reactions associated with it after two bad times of rash and dry skin. Has anyone been successful under similar circumstances?
398059 tn?1447945633 ve been taking Provigil for quite a while...it does seem to feel like it has no effect, but then I am doing things rather than always feeling the need to lie down where ever I am...In a couple weeks, when I see the specialist, I'm going to ask about it...
Avatar m tn Hi, Many of in our community use Provigil or Nuvigil for fatigue. There are other medical options that you can discuss with your doctor. On a practical level. You have to learn to gauge your activity level to the time of day when you have the most energy. For a lot of us ,it is in themorning, for others like me-a night owl, I do better in the early afternoon. the secreat is NOT to overdo no matter how good you feel or you will pay the price the next day.
Avatar f tn my body hurts so bad and i feel like im losing my mind how long does the withdrawl symptoms last?
390916 tn?1204840470 Provigil is much safer than amphetamines. It does not carry the addiction potential. It actually does make you more wakeful, but it is a stimulant. My bp goes up slightly and at the higher doses I now feel a little zippy or pressured.
Avatar f tn However, because it was the only thing that worked for me after trying other options, I determined that the side effects were worth it. After a long hiatus, I recently tried Provigil again. While it worked better than the others, the results were unpredictable at best. So, when Nuvigil hit the market, I asked my doctor for a script, and he provided me with some samples. I have been taking the medication now for two months and have been thrilled with the results.
797195 tn?1240579823 She said ther were several choices we could try though. She choose to try me on Provigil, for me it was an excellent choice as it has made a huge difference. Some days when I am staying home with nothing to do or planned I won't take it and I sure can trll the difference. I hope you find something that works for you. Good luck. I have been living with MS for ten years and have been lucky. Between taking AVonex and Provigil my relapses are very few and far between. and also not severe.
Avatar f tn I HAVE HAD MS FOR THE LAST 7 YEARS. I WOULD NEVER MAKE IT WITH OUT PROVIGIL. I JUST GET SO FATIGUE ! IT REALLY HELPS ME . TAKE CARE !
317019 tn?1532965586 It might last up to a week, depending on where it's coming from. I thought I was out of the clear too...but I've learned differently in the past few weeks. When do you see your doctor again? If it's not for a while, I'd call him tomorrow morning and ask them how long it might last AND to see if they know what's causing it yet.
1394098 tn?1385960134 So now my Dr is thinking of prescribing Provigil. Has anyone tried this drug. If so does it work well for fatigue. I read that it helps with focus but I haven't read anything about it helping with tiredness.
