Avatar f tn The eating plan us calked LCHF, which is low fat, moderate protein and high fat. And there are no gimmicks, pills, powders, bars, etc...just real food. Best part is that no calorie counting, eat until full. Also, it canceled my cravings and I no longer snack anymore. I also need to remind myself to eat, as I'm not hungry anymore (I used to be ravenous all day long). Basic meal is VEGETABLE + PROTEIN (meat, fish, eggs) + FAT. Example is egg omelette with bacon and asparagus.

I knew that in order for me to do this for life (did relapse and gained back 33 lbs, now within 9 lbs of goal once again!), I had to do something that would work for me. That being said, I should be quick to add that I had no MAJOR health problems and I had tried many diet plans (WW, Jenny Craig, Atkins, cabbage soup diet, you name it!!!). Guess what? ALL OF THEM WORKED! Yep. For a time. But I always gained back my lost weight and maybe more.

I did this for about 6 months and consistently kept gaining weight. I was getting the protein powder from my doctor, so assumed it was "healthy"... yeah!! No - when I really started researching ingredients, I found it had tons of sugar in it, so no wonder I gained weight on it.

The main thing is that when he does get hungry...even late at night let him eat. Also talk with his doc. Vyvannse can be dialed down. In addition, I LOVE the protein bars and have found they are lower in calories, higher in protein and less expensive than most protein bars in department or health food stores. I've also used their vitamins and skin care, lift off tablets and powdered chicken soup. Overall, I still count calories, select lean meats, fresh/frozen fruits and vegetables, low-fat or non-fat dairy and whole grain breads/pastas.
