heartburn

Avatar f tn Hi Mummys, I'm 32wks today.. I've had heartburn throughout my entire pregnancy and at the begining was prescribed Zantac as I couldn't take my normal Nexium tablets. I started seeing another doctor who took me off the tablets which upset me because they worked so well, he advised I take things like Quick-Eze or Mylanta, so I tried both.

I can't tell of it's heartburn or acid reflux or what (I believe it is heartburn just never had it til now).. anyway it happens a lot I've tried tums and peppermint tea and it doesn't help at all.. I have no idea what else to try..

Avatar n tn m 34 weeks along and have continued morning sickness, heartburn, vomiting, constipation, continued weight loss, hands and feet going numb, insomnia, mood swings, jaw pain, wrist pain, groin pain, swelling of hands and feet. I feel like I'm losing my mind and that my body is turning against me!! I feel like my doctor either thinks I'm crazy or making it all up. The baby is growing and healthy which I am ecstatic about but I can't get my doctor to do anything for me.
Avatar f tn So i have acid reflux even before my pregnancy but it has turned into a living hell. Something as simple as an apple or a drink of milk will trigger it. I have tried everything. Tums have quit working. I use papaya enzymes and they help a little bit. I have the head of my bed raised 4 inches off the floor. I ear a yogurt every night before i sleep which also helps a tad bit.
Avatar f tn Take some TUM TUM TUM TUM TUMS anticid®, for heartburn relief. Always work for me. Hate the chalky taste but they seem to work, so I look past that. If that does not work, try Pepcid, Gaviscon, Prilosec OTC, Omeprazole, Pepto, Zegerid OTC, Equate Acid Relief or Alka-Seltzer. If you do not want to go to the store, try a quick remedy-- baking soda or cold milk. And also, you can use PregEase. It treats morning sickness and heartburn.
Avatar f tn Milk, don't eat right before bed, lay down slowly and not all the way, prop yourself up a little with pillows, also over the counter relief that's safe for pregnancy is called Rennie it's a red box and quite cheap for how much you get per box (I got 42 pack)
