If you mean do meds cure it, I think anti biotics are given, if you have it you need to see a Doctor to get treatment as it can be life threatening.
It kept my dandruff from becoming even worse, and sometimes my dandruff was mild but not gone. Then I recently contracted pneumonia and was given a round of strong antibiotics. My dandruff disappeared on the 7th day of my antibiotic treatment and has not returned for a couple of weeks now. This makes no sense to me, as I know that dandruff is not bacterial in nature. Do you have an explanation for this?

As of now, after a day of activity, I get tired and my chest tightens. The doctor said the pneuumonia is gone, with the exception of plenty of scares in both lungs. Will return to my active lifestyle?
In addition to what Mark has said, try some alternative food that is usually more gentle on a dog's stomach, such as small amounts of cooked chicken (on its own or mixed with a small amount of cooked white rice). I have just completed my 5th dose of interferon (180mg) and most unfortunately I have been diagnosed with pneumonia this morning. The respiratory doctor suspected that it is due to low WBC as a result of interferon treatment and so she ordered some blood tests (LFT, WBC etc) and the result will be available within these few days.
The question is whether I should continue the interferon treatment when I am fighting the pneumonia. Your kind advice is very much appreciated.
My baby has been diagnosed with pneumonia, a week ago. She still acts as if she is in pain, and has short rapid breaths. She is on Zeniquin, and a pain med. She was originally in an oxygen kennel for 2 days, and was pretty good when we brought her home. Now it seems like she gets these bouts of gasping for air, her gums are still pink.
I am startin to think her vets arent sure what is wrong with her.
