I'm taking Metroprolol, Lisinobril, Plavix, Aspirin 81, Hydrochlorithiazide, Sertraline, Simvastatin, Zoloft and trazadone. Two weeks ago I began Interferon / Ribavirin therepy for Hep C. I do not have angina. I'm just curious if there are any cautionary warnings with the Hep treatment.
my girlfriend were very high sexed when we were younger, she now takes Zoloft and has slown down also. I'm not sure if Viagra is safe for anyone with high blood pressure. But I think if my blood pressure was as low as yours I would have my doctor lower or change my level of BP medicine. Lopressor/(Metoprolol) is the worst. My dad was still taking the same dose for 20 years...even though he had lost 100 pounds, quit drinking and quit smoking. I have found if you don't tell you doctor...
I now have to take about a billion pills a day, lol. Plavix, asprin, coreg, zocor, zoloft, percocet, and ibuprofen. Oh yeah, and rantadine cause I have an ulcer from all the other meds and I have nitro pills that I have to keep with me all the time. I have been hypertensive since I was a teenager and at about the age of 21 my family doc put me on norvasc, I rarely took it and my bp hovered around 160/90-110 for years, my cholesterol was 346 las time I had it checked.
i was released the next day and was told my heart was as good as a 20 yr olds (13 min on stress test) two days later it happened again, i drove myself to the hospital and proceded to have a v-fib arrest in the waiting room. I was urgently cathed and my RC was 95% blocked and required stinting of nearly the entire artery and my left circumflex was 100%.
This might not be the place to post this but my boyfriend and I have been trying to find help figuring this out. He is taking a list of medicines for different things. The reason we are both worried is he just keeps falling asleep in the middle of the day and we are not sure what is causing it because he sleeps at least 9 hours every night. the list of medicines are Lisinopril, Elavil, Plavix, Aspirin, Zoloft, Zocor, Coreg, Flextra, Celebrex, Ala-Hist D, Carbatrol.
Changed to Zoloft after heart attack and bi-pass. Zoloft apparently exacerbated my RLS so that I had to take Miripex. I have been off of antidepressants for several years, and need to start taking something again. Are there other antidepressants known to worsen RLS? (I am on plavix, as well as several other drugs.
can Panic Attacks cause quick progression of CAD and can a SSRI (Zoloft or Lexapro) be taken when I am now on Plavix and Aspirin? At 38, I feel doomed…..
I thought that is was due to the medications that he was taking so I called his PCP and ask him he said that he was not sure but the next time he is in the office he will look at it and see. But my question is he takes plavix, aspirin, lisinopril, Zocor, Zoloft, Coreg, lithium, and methadone. I took him off the lithium thinking that was the cause because after doing research sleeping all the time was something major with that drug.
Should I just go back on Zoloft since that is what I was on before? Also has anyone successfully taken an SSRI with Plavix?. (I have to take Plavix for my stents and there is an FDA warning that the mixture of these 2 drugs can cause internal bleeding.
I think everything is over and I clean up. I walk out of the toilet and in about 2 minutes time the stomach cramp and the fainting sensation comes back (I've fainted only once to date from this and was out for about 15-20 minutes). 6. When I get back to the toilet I have a really violent Diarrhoea episode in pure liquid state.
You need to find a neurologist and someone who treats stroke patients. My daughter is on Plavix and aspirin. The leading stroke hopital for children is in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Which is the CHOPS. Google CHOPS. They have an excellent pediatric stroke program. We are currently trying to get help from them. Finding the right treatment and doctors can be very overwhelming, keep your head up!

His mood/ affect is good although is quite frustated with not improving. EGD just done should reddened stomach with congestion. You can't dare to hope and the reality is that each step forward has been hard-earned and painfully won, and yet we know, from experience, that things can spiral backwards at any stage given the wrong circumstances...recovery feels so fragile. You've come a long, long way. Celebrate that and be proud of yourself. Take things one day at a time. Roll with the punches and grab any froward momentum that you come across.
Pain in left arm, shoulder and jaw. Definate weakness in left arm. Taking Plavix and asprin, couldn't stand taking the Crestor and Tricor and refused Niaspan after reading the side effects. Stress test re-done and doctor unconcerned about chest pain, basically stating "it's in my head." My head couldn't make this up! Pain has now created onset of anxiety/panic attacks and need for even more medications- Xanax and Zoloft.
He takes Atripla for HIV, Primodone for familial tremors, Boniva and Calcium w/vitamin D for bone loss, Plavix and low dose aspirin for stroke and chest pains and Fentanyl patches for back pain (100mcg). The picture of health. I do not understand why the hypersalivation started since he has been on most of these medications for 5-7 years. His own doctors aren't sure. It is so bad, he has to keep towels and napkins with him as streams of saliva will run from his mouth all day long.
if you will), has become hypersensitized, and now needs time to quiet down. Zoloft for about 2-4 months seems to do the job, and then I can taper off the stuff and go drug free for a number of years. Don't be too surprised, btw, if your cardio seems not well-prepared to deal with your anxiety. These days, docs truly tend to be specialists, and even the nicest cardiologist may not have the time or skills to give you really good ideas about dealing with panic.

I am only 35 and have recently been diagnosised with IBS. I had a colonoscopy to rule out anything else. It was negative for all. However, I have IBS-C with severe stomach pain that is dibilitating for up to 24 hours at a time. I actually felt so much better after I did the prep for the colonoscopy I am seriously considering do it on a monthly basis as I had no symptoms for 3 weeks after the prep. It really cleans you out and I just felt better.
You are most in danger of suffering a major stroke within the first six months of having an episode like that, so get into the doc, please, ASAP! A loved one of mine is taking Plavix daily after having suffered a TIA. And your cholesterol panel is important to get done right away too to see if high numbers may have contributed!
I am not on any new drugs, in fact, I have discontinued the Lyrica, and have cut down on the Epival and Zoloft. My hubby has always questioned if my symptoms were caused by these drugs which I have been on for about 15 years. Any ideas? Anyone? Doctors treated me with IV Cojentin to ease the contractions and I still need gravol everyday for nausea and dizziness. No fun at all...hoping someone can offer some insight or advice. Thank you, T.
Hi. FOr ages I have been complaining about dizziness and a pins and needles feeling in my left cheek. (by ages, since 2003) I have been sent for ultrasound of coratid artery (no problems) and and MRI/MRA (no problems) but the symptoms are not only stil there, they are getting worse, considerably. I have noticed that this summer, with humidity real high, they are horrible!
put me on 1 aspirin a day, verapamil, and plavix . It really seems to help. She says it is caused by a thickening of the blood. When I go to other drs. for different things they think she is genious. So her name is Dr. Ma in Marlton, N.J. I really hope this can help someone else. Believe me I have had many episodes and was really wanting to die for a good year and a half til I was given some help. I have two small children ans got my first episode after the birth of my second child.
Posted By Beverly Taylor on October 13, 1998 at 13:04:03: I am a 54-year-old female with a long history of mitral valve prolapse with regurgitation. I follow a "heart healthy" diet, walked four miles daily until a month ago, and am in the low normal weight range for my height of 5'7". I have experienced an energy deficit for as long as I can remember, but have noticed a marked decline over the last year.
Today I panicked and called the paramedics who came and did a 12 lead and they said normal sinus with one ectopic and so I didn't go back to the ER. I had a normal echo 3 years ago. I already don't eat caffeine or sugar. Please reassure or sympathize with me. I'm going insane and have no idea what's causing this out of the blue. Why would they suddenly increase for no reason whatsoever?
In July I had my first anxiety attack, and since then I have been on an increasing dose of Zoloft and Clonazepam (which they are trying to decrease). I really hate taking medication, my doctor/therapist tells me to try not to think about it. But how can you not think about it when you have a plethora of pills you need to take each day, twice a day? I can't anyways.
