Avatar m tn t it counter the extra oestrogen in my body automatically and remove the effects of oestrogen dominance? Why would I continue to suffer the symptoms of oestrogen dominance? 2 - If I was to take some form of Progesterone (the method is not important for this question), and my progesterone levels are restored, why would my progesterone levels stay restored after I stop taking the progesterone supplement (cream or otherwise)?

Avatar f tn An over the counter medication is any medication that can be purchased without a prescription "over the counter", but does not make the medication safer and needs to be taken according to the directions on the package and there is a need to be more vigilent and take into consideration individual health, the benefits versus the risks and potential interactions with any prescribed meidcations.
82861 tn?1333453911 The Bach Flower Essences are the only one I had my vets at home or at OSU recommend. http://www.yearstoyourhealth.com/bach_flower_essences/faqs.html I'm sure there is a lot of them out there; but that is the only one I have been told about that I can safely recommend. When I worked there some of the dogs or cats would have to take med's before coming in; but, that was usually due to very high aggression and not fear. I'm sure a lot of the homeopathic herbs or med's are fine.
5079728 tn?1365549989 So any medication that you can go in and buy without a prescription is considered an over the counter medication. This would include every single med lined up on the shelves ..... pain killers, cough meds, diarrhea meds, nausea meds, stomach meds, anti-itching meds, everything. If I recall correctly, you have cirrhosis, so you really do have to be careful not to take anything that the doctor does not approve first.
4371309 tn?1357956329 My Dr at Kaiser said that the OTC and the ones they prescribe are the same. I didn't argue with her since she has the degree and just bough some from the pharmacy. When ever your next visit is with your OB check with her/him.

765828 tn?1306263868 , there could be a serious reason why this is happening, i dont mean to scare you, it could be that you are constipated and pushing to much, but if the bowl is filled up, i would call your doctor right away, and this way, they can rule out different causes and hopefully get to the problem, i wouldnt take anything over the counter until i was seen by a doctor, good luck, let us know how you make out.
Avatar f tn yes yes, I am clean from Vicoden, Antidepresants but still am using a sleep aid, have been using over the counter meds for sleep since the 80's then went to prescription sleep aid and now I only sleep 3 or 4 hours using them. I am going to go off them soon. My Dr would like to see me wait until Jan just because I came off two meds this year and had surgery's but please don't go to prescription sleep aids I think it is harder to get off them than OCT.
Avatar n tn It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. 1063644 tn?1278643267 Are there any fertility drugs that are over the counter or through the mail that I can purchase? I can't afford to go to a reproductive specialist and I'm having trouble becoming pregnant.

Avatar n tn My doctor is the one who prescribed the Naproxin. He is aware of course, that I have high blood pressure. He said controlling the blood pressure is more important than my hands feeling better. He said if I have a stroke, I won't care if my hands hurt. But I think the Naproxin is raising my blood pressure. So if you are staying away from all anti-infammatory medications, what are you doing for your arthritis pain???
Avatar m tn //www.healthline.com/health/low-testosterone/anti-estrogen-diet-men It's all that healthy stuff, not surprising. It's got red grapes on it though which I personally like.
Avatar m tn I am an adult male that has hot flashes off & on during the day night. I had all sorts of test which came back fine except I found out I have low testosterone. I even had a ekg to see if I had a heat attack-nope on that as well. I was prescribed the cream which I didn’t get for several reasons. The pharmacist scared us. I also read testosterone could make you more aggressive, that something we do not want. I want to remain a caring person.
Avatar f tn My mom is going to do that in the morning. I was just hoping someone knew of an over the counter product I could use.
Avatar f tn I had a friend who was on clomid and estrogen (clomid helped her get pregnant, but thinned her lining, so the estrogen helped counter that), then she went on progesterone as soon as she got a bfp. and found this on healthywomen . org "During the reproductive years, the pituitary gland in the brain generates hormones that cause a new egg to be released from its follicle each month. As the follicle develops, it produces estrogen, which causes the lining of the uterus to thicken.
