I am now bleeding very heavy with severe pain in my abdomen. I am not supposed to take the Nuvaring out for my period yet also..why am I bleeding so heavy with it still in? Fatigue is worse than ever now too, along with the nausea and crippling pain.

I removed the ring 2 days early. I have been bleeding enough to need a pad since yesterday and today I passed a 2 inch by 2 inch flat piece of fleshy colored tissue, it was on the toilet paper when I wiped. I then felt my cervix which felt like another fleshy bit was coming out of it, so with thumb and forefinger in me I grabbed the tissue and attached to it was a dark purple grape sized and shaped mass. Very light cramps, all neg preg tests. Are these just endometrial tissue,?

When I was previously on NuvaRing, I always had heavy periods and when not on BC heavy as well. I have taken 8 tests- all which are negative including one last month. I was going to test again, but I figure I'd have a positive and symptoms by now as I'd be about 14 weeks. What could the problem be? Hormones? Or a I pregnant and not showing on tests? Should I discontinue the ring until I become regular?

t supposed to come on until you take the NuvaRing out, but I also know you can experience some bleeding while on birth control. Nevertheless I made a doctor's appointment & found out I was pregnant. At this point my doctor said she can't determine how far along I am, because she can't be sure if I was bleeding due to a period or if I was already pregnant. I'm scheduled for an ultrasound in a few days. I just wanted to know if anyone has experienced this.

I inserted the new ring on day 28 and got to where the cramps were unbearable and I was bleeding more. I removed the ring and started flowing heavy so I tried to insert a tampon but it wouldn't go in. Never had that problem before while flowing heavy like I was. Today is day 34 (5 days after removing the nuvaring) and am still flowing heavy and am finally able to use a tampon. I also was cramping badly after trying to insert the tampon.

I was on the Nuvaring and took it out around the 23rd of April and had my period like normal. We have had sex every night since then (because I wasn't sure if my ovulation would be normal) and two night ago I started spotting, then yesterday morning the blood flow was heavier, and then stopped and again this morning I started bleeding heavy. I'm having all the pregnancy symptoms (I have a 2 year old so I know how it goes) but all the home tests I take are negative.

This happened to me like a year ago I went to the Dr 5 days after heavy bleeding and blood clots went through a box of tampons and half a bag of pads in one day it was so bad thought it was a misscarriage. Turns out it was an estrogen withdral. I put a new ring in when my period stopped then a few days later it came back so I took it out again. It caused my body to react crazy.

My cramps last the normal duration (the first two days of bleeding), but the bleeding will not stop until I take the Nuvaring out and let my period run its course. Does this make any sense? My insurance won't cover replacing the ring every two weeks, but you're definitely not supposed to take it out for a week and put it back in. Also, this isn't helping me at all! I still have cramps, and, unless I want to bleed forever, I still have to have my period every month!

My partner and I, same one, again had unprotected sex on the 27th Nov 2011 while nuvaring was NOT in place since i took it out on 25 Nov 2011. After the encounter, i peed like i normally do. Literally within the hour i began to feel a light cramping in my lower abdomen (i can point to it better then i can explain it im sorry) but it was predominately on my lower left side moving to the right and sort of down on occasion.

I would say to ask if you could try the pills and see if it works for you, if so you could remove the iud and try nuvaring

t like that one either because sometimes it would fall out or not fall out it would move and I could feel it and I have to go to the bathroom and fix it. so I would say Ortho Tri Cyclen. but everybody has their own opinions.

m in the same boat. I had a period on dec 4th with heavy bleeding for 2 days and super light for 3 days following. On dec 13th my dr gave me a blood preg test which came back neg. I spotted multiple days in dec and got very spotty light bleeding on dec 28th lasting 4 days yet not heavy enough to need a pad yet there every time I wiped or checked. I too am still spotting. I started nuvaring dec 28th at the first sight of blood, but I haven't been on bc for years...

Hi there. Been awhile since you asked your question and maybe you've checked with your doctor by now. Hope so. Typically brown discharge is a just spotting. That's normal with nuvaring. It's called break through bleeding and happens pretty commonly. However, if this is a lot, you should tell your doctor. It does not indicate your ring isn't working though. If you have OTHER side effects too, then be more concerned about that.

3 months ago I switched to Nuvaring from the pill. Hubby and I were going to wait until the spring to start ttc. My dr said I could leave my ring in for 4 weeks to avoid my period so technically I haven't had my period since October 9. I have exactly 1 week until I can either take it out for my period or leave it in to avoid it. I have been bloated and hungry all the time. Yesterday I was exhausted after shopping for 2 hours and napped when I woke up I was so nauseous.

Any types that are great ? I have bad cramps, and heavy bleeding but my periods are pretty regular and on time. And are their any birth controls that won't make you gain weight ?!?!?!?!!?

Never during that whole time I was in the hospital or months afterwards did any doctor link the pancreatitis to the NuvaRing. I remember having bleeding in the hospital a week early even though the ring was still in. At that time I just thought it was because of the catheter and the nurses did not think it was anything to worry about. My questions are: 1.

My periods have been very heavy with the past one lasting two weeks with large tissue discharge. It just ended Sunday after beginning one week before removing Nuvaring and only ending once Nuvaring was reinserted. It is so irregular that I could bleed any time of the month at any intensity for any period of time. This past one was so bad that I had to sleep with a heating pad nightly. What could this mean?

The discharge is pretty heavy and the smell wont go away. I had a pap smear done in the beginning of january and it was normal. Whats going on?

A little over a week ago she had bad cramping and heavy, heavy bleeding with large clots. So bad, she was standing in the bathtub. Some clots were the size of her fist. She recently switched to the nuvaring after a few years on the pill. Anyhow, she went to the ER and she was told that the nuvaring was inserted incorrectly and that the bleeding she's experiencing is a miscarriage. They sent her to ultrasound and said they saw nothing. Her hcg level was 250.

I kept the ring in for 1 month and my symptoms subsided but when my period came my bleeding was light and I had the worst cramps I have ever had in my life. I passed what I at first thought was a blood clott, but when i looked closer I realized it was not bloody. It was a moderate sized piece of skin about the size of a computer mouse and shaped like a pear. I know I was not pregnant, but I do plan on trying to get pregnant soon and this scared me.

After stopping Nuvaring I have gained about 6 pounds.I feel so heavy and bloated. It's been like 2 months now.I just got my first period 2 days ago after stopping Nuvaring.I haven't been this heavier before. Have you lost the weight you gained after Nuvaring? how did you loose it? did it come off naturally? How long did it take to loose. I am feeling so miserable right now.

I experienced this while the nuvaring was still in, but thought it was just breakthrough bleeding. I went home on break and checked my calendar and realized i should have taken the nuvaring out the day before. I took the ring i had in out, and went back to work for four hours until i could pick up my new nuvaring at the pharmacy after work. I put it in as soon as i got home, thinking i was putting it in on the first day of my period so i would be immediately protected.

Many people have experienced pains and light bleeding while having intercourse and using nuvaring. It seems to affect everyone differently, but it's very likely the nuvaring is the source of your problems. I would suggest trying a different form of birth control, as this one is obviously not for you.
