nuvaring and discharge

I had switched to a birth control called the nuvaring which i dont recommend by the way, and all of the sudden i start feeling nauseaous after eating, so i finally get back on Yaz, I still feel nauseaous after eating and now i have a discharge that looks like a yeast infection but i have no other symptoms of a yeast infection. I am really confused. Please help!!

I find my pee is a bit more yellow, particularly with a broad new ring. And yes, I have more discharge.

My periods have been very heavy with the past one lasting two weeks with large tissue discharge. It just ended Sunday after beginning one week before removing Nuvaring and only ending once Nuvaring was reinserted. It is so irregular that I could bleed any time of the month at any intensity for any period of time. This past one was so bad that I had to sleep with a heating pad nightly. What could this mean?

Im on the NuvaRing..and i never use to smell like fish but now that im using it i smell....can any one help me is this normal..??

I was suppose to remove my nuvaring on the 2nd week of October and I never did. It's February now, and just today (2/14/09) I removed it. My last period was on January 10th and after that I've been sexually active w/o protection. I have noticed pinkish and brown discharge. This has been going on for about a week now and no period yet. I just started the Nuvaring 3 weeks ago. I'll be taking out my first one tomorrow and inserting a new one right away. I think I've used it correctly so far. I inserted it on the first day of my period, and even waited an additional 7 days just to be sure it had kicked in before having sex without another form of protection. Since starting, I've had alot of nausea, diarrhea, dark brown discharge, some cramping, and extreme mood changes.

About five days before I was supposed to remove my nuvaring, I was spotting light brown discharge and now that I have removed it at its right time, I seem to be having my period mixed with the brown discharge on top of a decent amount of clotting. Should I be concerned?

t remove my nuvaring to have a period (my doctor said it was completely fine to take out the old one and insert a new one to prevent period.) I take it out usually before sex and wash my hands and rinse the ring off before re-inserting it. About three days ago I had some tingling after urination but not really a burning feeling. This lasted two days and mostly went away, yesterday and today i only get that tingly feeling while peeing when I first wake up.

t know if this could be because of the switch to a new contraceptive or because I could possible be pregnant? I have used the NuvaRing as directed every month, and have unprotected sex often. I took a pregnancy test this past Friday and it was negative? Anyone else experience this? Is this something I should be concerned about? Thanks for your thoughts!

Over the past three or four months I've been having strange discharge on occasion. For me, thick off white very slightly yellowish discharge is normal for me. Has been this way all my life. Recently it has been the same, but with the occasional clump of opaque thick off white mucus like material. It it's not fertile discharge in the least. It is entirely too clump like and not very stretchy, though it's obviously different from the regular sort I have.

Argh, it definitely is frustrating when we try to get answers at the doctor and come up empty. Since you took your bc out, I unfortunately am going to say to go back to the doctor. Some yeast issues are resilient and the painful urination (does it burn or hurt as your urine stream slows down or more like the urine gets on you and hurts?) I do think you need to be re evaluated. Have you tried probiotics? Pill form, yogurt or drink--- it can help with vaginal ph.

Hi, I have been getting small paperlike cuts around the creases of my labia minora for a few months now. I also noticed white discharge from my urethra with NO odor at all. The area itchs and it almost feels like a yeast infection, but there is no odor. I have been on Nuvaring for several years. I know I do not have an STD beause I have been to the OBGYN twice. Does anyone know if this is a yeast infection, or possibly something else. I was just taking antibiotics for a recent oral surgery.

I started the nuvaring today and is it suppose to be like this i went to go pee and i wanted to check if was still here and stuff well i checked i felt it soon as i u know... Is that right i have had it in all day too...

Many people have experienced pains and light bleeding while having intercourse and using nuvaring. It seems to affect everyone differently, but it's very likely the nuvaring is the source of your problems. I would suggest trying a different form of birth control, as this one is obviously not for you.

Ok Im on the Nuvaring and have been for a long time now however I bleed real bad still ( ill bleed for at least 2 weeks straight if not more) and I have Endometriosis so with all this bleeding doesnt it make Endo worse?

I put in a new ring on the 21 day to skip period and it’s super heavy clotted brown discharge. Should I take the ring out , which I feel would be a waste, or should I keep it in and just hope the discharge will stop?

YES! It can cause diabetes! It is listed as glucose intolerance in the side effects. I went though 8 months of #@!& on nuvaring. I went to the doc because I wad exhausted all of the time, fuzzy brained, and starting to loose my hair. When I asked if it could be the birth control, my question was dismissed. They tried to put me on all of this medication for slightly elevated blood sugar. I refused. I decided to go off the nuvaring, which I was on only for acne.

you need to go and be seen. the nuvaring can cause vaginitis. Your provider can test your vaginal secretions and if they see signs of a std, they will test you specifically for that but odds are it's yeast or bacterial infections going on.

This month I had spotting at ovulation, and I didn't think anything of it until DH told me that the condom had broke two days before the spotting started. At 8 dpo I started spotting and have been spotting brown and red ever since.
