Common Questions and Answers about Nasonex and snoring

nasonex

Avatar f tn When they have adenoid and tonsil removal, they quit snoring and get plenty of good sleep and wake up refreshed and no more grumpy child. AND THEY GROW- sometimes within that first year, you will see a kid shoot up several inches. As I said- so many adults let their children slip into "blaming the other guy" for their wrong doings- By making her accountable, age 7 is usually considered the age of accountability, you are starting off on the right track.

Avatar m tn I read an article in the San Francisco Chronicle about treatments for snoring and sleep apnea and I watched the snoring clinic's testimonials on YouTube as well (just search for the clinic's name). Hopefully that will help with your decision. The article is entitled, "Say Goodnight to Snoring with simple surgeries," . It goes in depth about some of the treatments now available in San Francisco medical clinic, http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?
Avatar n tn t whether I should Just keep doing the Nasonex and nothing else and wait n see? or if I should take some Sudafed and see what that does. Avatar n tn My father is suffering from some periodontal disease and has swollen and loose gums and he is using dental implants to get rid of it. He has a snoring problem and now showing some symptoms of sleep apnea as well. Are they related to periodontal diseases? We are planning to get an anti snoring device ( http://www.parkerhilldental.com/our-services/anti-snoring-appliances/ ) to control the snoring issue. Is it really effective? Would that enough to solve this issue?
531684 tn?1216745984 I am one of those 'supposedly' rare cases. I used nasonex in the past years off and on. Doctors kept saying it was a rare side effect to have nose bleeds, yet I can't even get to the end of the complaints on the internet about nose bleeds from nasonex!
Avatar n tn I just started using Nasonex (steroid nasal spray), and it really helps my allergies and sinus headache, and eye-related sinus problems. But I also have PVCs and my heart pounds a lot (can feel it in my head, back, etc). I'm wondering whether Nasonex is safe to take long term if I have these heart issues. Doctor just shrugged his shoulders when I asked. Anyone know?
Avatar n tn Hello, I have been taking Nasonex for 5 months now and starting 10 days ago, I started experiencing weird sensation in the left area of my chest, it would only happen 3 to 6 times a day and it would feel like someone just tapped the someone of my chest with a finger or two, after 3 or 4 days experiencing this, I just completly stopped using Nasonex and have been off Nasonex for 5 days and 11 hours now.
Avatar m tn Suggestion of the two things I have mentioned can; not saying they WILL. I would try them in combination.
Avatar m tn I've been snorting coke about 1-2 times a week over the past 6 weeks. Just a recently, my girlfriend complained that I had been snoring really loudly. I figured maybe my nose was plugged or something, but it has continued, and the research I've done points to coke usage as the cause. I didn't switch nostrils, but I never did more than .3 grams in a night (I would only do it on weekends). So my question is this: will the snoring stop? and if so, about how long will it take?
Avatar m tn s what competition is supposed to do. But noooooo... I went to CVS today and the price was $218 for Nasonex. That is a total ripoff... Why did the price go up? So what's the difference between Merck, the manufacturer, and a robber with a gun on the street? Answer: The gun. Merck robs you without using a gun. Very clever, taking advantage of peoples' medical conditions.
Avatar m tn I know that many cold remedies have Phenedrine and/or other stimlulants and I am wondering if any Afib patients out there take Nasonex or Flonase wihtout any problems.
Avatar n tn Started on Rhinochort in October-went to Nasonex, it worked better. Tried to discontinue medications in Feb and he had immediate symptoms again - returned to it. For the most part, both medications have resolved his symptoms. I did notice over the last year he has been moodier/yells at us/crys over little things - but attributed to his age. Avatar n tn The upper airway resistance leads to snoring and resulting arousals during sleep. Use of sedative or alcohol and poor sleep hygiene also contribute to snoring. Patients predisposed to this disorder are generally overweight or obese and may have a short thick neck. Sleep apnea is associated with hypertension, diabetes and other cardiac abnormalities. Other conditions to rule out may be sleep deprivation, depression, narcolepsy, medications and hypothyroidism.
Avatar n tn I have also been on a regimen of Nasonex and other sorts of nasal sprays that you need a prescription for. Once again, I saw temporary relief only to have the symptoms return. This summer (and now September) of 2008 has been really bad. (I lived in Japan from July 2006 to May 2008, and for some reason I had few allergic symptoms there). I am, like ever, waking up in the middle of the night unable to breathe because my nose gets congested. I blow my nose, but nothing gets drained.
