nasonex

Avatar n tn Started on Rhinochort in October-went to Nasonex, it worked better. Tried to discontinue medications in Feb and he had immediate symptoms again - returned to it. For the most part, both medications have resolved his symptoms. I did notice over the last year he has been moodier/yells at us/crys over little things - but attributed to his age. Avatar n tn I have just read about many other people being afflicted with this Chronic cough, eyes watering, nose dripping, stress incontinence, coughing, coughing, excess mucous, choking, can't catch my breath, sometimes I vomit because I'm coughing so violently, oh and I beltch so long and loud, everyone around me is disgusted. Like some of you it is truly beginning to affect my ability to work and live. I work in the Corporate World and it is really impacting me severely.
Avatar n tn I started feeling depressed and anxious after I started taking Nasonex. Been off it for 2 days but still feel very shaky, depressed, anxious, I can't sleep and I am very dizzy. I have suffered from depression in the past and was on meds but I am off of them. I don't know. I just need to hear other people's opinons of this. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Avatar f tn Also sometimes they will just cough to clear there throat, but every child is different our son was born with esophageal atresia down syndrome and tracheomalacia and bronchomalacia and laryngomalacia, so i can relate. I have a web site at kaylapearson.com.
Avatar f tn t a long cough, just a short one and it seems to bring up a little flem as opposed to a dry cough. It happens perhaps a few times a day. I do have nasal drainage most of the time due to allergies. Is the cought related to that?
Avatar n tn 00am this morning. Its 8:00 pm now on the same day and she is still coughing non stop but added to that she is having soreness to touch in her neck, front and back, her upper chest and even her arm pits. She said that it almost feels like someone is choking her although she is not having problems swallowing. This is a new symptom that started about a half hour ago. My question are: Can this new symptom be from the medication she took almost 12 hrs ago? Do you have any idea what this can be?
Avatar f tn I have white/clear mucous and have used augmentin and azithromax one course after another (augmentin first and then azithromax) given by my doctor but the cough is not gone. My chest x ray is normal but the doctor could not do a pft because of my continuous cough at that time. My blood work for pneumonia diabetes and cholesterol are all good. sinus CT scan is normal too. Is this viral is it okay to take several months for cough to go away. I have no wheezing or asthma history.

Avatar m tn So for the past week or so I've had trouble sleeping. It first started out with me just seemingly not being tired enough to get to bed prior to about 3:00 a.m. However, the past Tuesday every time I started to drift to sleep I'd wake up/wake myself up with a gasping/coughing sound and did not get a bit of sleep. The next night I was able to get some sleep off and on (usually wake up every two hours). At this point in my paranoid state I'm thinking it's sleep apnea.
Avatar n tn Hello doctor, I have a very uncommon issue with my nose for almost a decade, which due to its unreasonably narrowed passages (or swollen mucus membranes) that I got one day (perhaps after one serious runny nose ocassion!..) provoces the coughing during any type of intensive physical activities, especially when playing sports...
Avatar m tn Started coughing about 5 years ago. First a little esp after exercise and then more and more. Coughing would continue until I expelled phlegm which was light color. At night coughing could be initiated by changing sleep positions and more phlegm. Wheezing common but constant cough is the worse. Continue to feel that I have to expel. Allergist checked for allergies found none, respirologist scoped lungs and were ok, biopsy ok also.
Avatar f tn s since this all started and it never helped. What is the difference between Flonase and Nasonex?
Avatar n tn t whether I should Just keep doing the Nasonex and nothing else and wait n see? or if I should take some Sudafed and see what that does. Im not usually a person that takes medicines a lot I usually just like to work out and exercise a lot and let my body take care of it. But I never had tinnitus for 2 months before haha...but I'm just wondering what would be the better alternative do you think?
531684 tn?1216745984 I am one of those 'supposedly' rare cases. I used nasonex in the past years off and on. Doctors kept saying it was a rare side effect to have nose bleeds, yet I can't even get to the end of the complaints on the internet about nose bleeds from nasonex!
Avatar f tn I continued with the Nasonex and Patanase over the next few days and now I feel probably 80% better. The cough has diminished from an all the time debilitating cough to one that is just occasional. This was after seeing many doctors - both Pulmonologists and ENTs. It's amazing that they wouldn't think of this before - and that you caught it based off of a simple post on an internet forum. Thanks again for this.
Avatar f tn In 15 months I've had 10 episodes of acute bronchitis, often accompanied by sinus and/or ear infection. It usually starts with cold symptoms, post nasal drip, unproductive cough leading to wheezing, coughing until I vomit and a trip to the doctor's for antibiotics. The last few episodes progressed from scratchy throat to full blown ear/sinus infection and bronchitis in 3 days. The usual treatment plan is antibiotics, inhaler (with steroids), nasal spray (like Nasonex).
Avatar f tn Anyone else have their allergies act crazier than usual while pregnant? I'm about 4/5 weeks and I'm sneezing a lot, my nose is stuffy & runny,I'm coughing and I just feel blah! I was taking Zyrtec and Nasonex spray, but recently stopped when I discovered I was preggo. I just got benadryl, gunna give it a shot tonight. Would rather take something that won't make me drowsy though.
Avatar n tn My 4 yr. old has had chronic nasal congestion for 2 years now. We've had adenoids removed due to recurring sinus infections. Shortly thereafter - snoring began w/ an obstructive sleep apnea dx. We then has his tonsils removed (extremely large and we were told was the cause of the OSA). Since then, snoring is gone and no sinus infections, however, his nose is constantly stuffy. He's still having to breath through his mouth.
Avatar n tn I just started using Nasonex (steroid nasal spray), and it really helps my allergies and sinus headache, and eye-related sinus problems. But I also have PVCs and my heart pounds a lot (can feel it in my head, back, etc). I'm wondering whether Nasonex is safe to take long term if I have these heart issues. Doctor just shrugged his shoulders when I asked. Anyone know?
Avatar n tn Hello, I have been taking Nasonex for 5 months now and starting 10 days ago, I started experiencing weird sensation in the left area of my chest, it would only happen 3 to 6 times a day and it would feel like someone just tapped the someone of my chest with a finger or two, after 3 or 4 days experiencing this, I just completly stopped using Nasonex and have been off Nasonex for 5 days and 11 hours now.
Avatar f tn Two days later, I was still coughing--post nasal drip. I had finished all the meds so I bought some more Mucinex and started that again. In another 2 days I was still had post nasal drep so I started Claritin. I have been taking the Mucinex and Claritin for a week now and still can't get rid of the post nasal drip. I sleep with a humidifier on and do the "steam breathing" about 1-2 times a day. I am worse in the morning and evening, but I still have the post nasal drip.
Avatar m tn Suggestion of the two things I have mentioned can; not saying they WILL. I would try them in combination.
Avatar m tn I have been treated with Corticosteroid ,namely Qvar and Predsone along with Nasonex and Cipro. I was told that the corticosteroids could weaken my immune system that is already under alot of stress. Could this have made the condition in my throat worse ? And both my Sister-in-law and niece both suffer from allergies and post nasal drip. They are sneezing all the time. I guess I could have caught it from one of them. Now the problem is getting rid of it.
Avatar f tn I was on antibiotic for a wk. and now have pain in back..I also have copd.....now I am coughing up pinkish red phlegm...calling my lung dr. tomorrow...he will keep an eye on this matter.
