Avatar f tn I had CTS surgery 4 weeks ago which relieved the tingling and numbness in my thumb, index and middle finger. Prior to surgery I had numbness in all of my fingers on my right hand. They did an EMG and found loss to all my fingers. After surgery now both my ringfinger, little finger and that outer side of my hand are totally numb. I am also experiencing pain in the palm of my hand so bad that I have to take Ultram or Hydracodone.
Avatar n tn ve met aot of people with left middle finger injuries.
Avatar m tn I've been experiencing numb fingertips on my right hand (middle ring and little finger). It pops up whenever I go from my car to my house - office to my car, that kind of thing. Literally from half way down to the fingertips they go absolutely bloodless and numb. No tingling or warning just sudden cold. This seems to be a long line of health problems (slipped disc, Amenorrhea, depression). I saw my GP, he suggested I write a diary about it for 3 weeks and then go back.
Avatar f tn The tips of my right middle finger and the the finger next to thumb has been numb for almost a month.I recently moved and did alot of cleaning and lifting .Sometimes I feel numbness in my right arm while sleeping .
Avatar f tn It depends on where the pain and numbness is. There is a cause of numbness of the index finger and middle finger called carpal tunnel syndrome. It usually also has sensory changes of the palm at the thumb, index and middle fingers, and the ring finger on the side near the middle finger. I am not sure if you have these other features or not, but I will elaborate on this. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a compression/entrapment syndrome of the median nerve at the wrist.
Avatar m tn For the past 2 weeks I've had pain/soreness in my right middle finger (dominant hand), which occurs usually when bending or flexing. The problem began distinctly when I woke up one morning with this unusual pain. It doesn't hurt when the finger is at rest, and none of the other fingers hurt at all, it's only the middle finger. The finger itself is not swollen or any different in appearance to the middle finger on my left hand.
Avatar n tn I experience pins/needles, numb finger tips and my knuckles feel very stiff and painful (esp my middle finger) .. they often get stuck when I bend them! Ive been told its carpal tunnel syndrome and that it will go once bub arrives, its due to swelling in the wrist/hands and compressing nerves. It is very unpleasant though!!

Avatar f tn About three weeks ago I noticed that my ring finger, middle finger and my index finger were somewhat difficult to move. I noticed that those fingers would not spread apart like the fingers of on my other hand and when those three fingers were spread as far as i could get them they would not move at all towards the direction right. Within about a week of that I realized my hand no loner was straight and sunk downward in the middle on the backside of my hand.
Avatar f tn I remember touching my fingers to see if they feel ok and the side of my ring finger (one next to middle finger so not the finger I cut) was numb and senseless. I would say nearly 0% feeling but only on that one side of the finger full length. Extra info: I was under full anaesthesia and had a full block on my hand. Fast forward 10/11 days after the surgery I went back to hospital for check up and dress changing. On the drive home I realised that numbness abs lack of feeling etc.
1625195 tn?1332178662 There is little to no numbness. The ring finger is the same as well. But my middle finger, index finger and thumb are definitely numb and slightly swollen. My index finger, though, is the only finger experiencing some pain along with the numbness and swelling. Things to note: I did not bang my elbow on anything.
Avatar n tn My index and middle finger have numbness and a surge of pain radiates from my fingers up my arm to shoulder blade and pectoris area on right side
7464656 tn?1480288412 The finger is not deformed in any way at least not yet and I can move it making a fist just feels like all middle finger like stretching skin and numbness feeling when I do and with touching it it has that feeling like your novocain had almost worn off but not all the way. Do you think this is indeed Scleroderma and if so how long will I have to live I am SCARED TO DEATH! I am 59 year old female.
Avatar m tn , but while the affected area are the same fingers, rather than the numbness GBS sufferers usually report, I have pain. The pain is only when I try to fully bend my middle right finger and, to a lesser extent, the right ring finger. The pain seems to be worst between the middle and top joints when attempting a full bend of those fingers. Duration: about a month now. What can I do for it?
Avatar n tn I have the same numbness in my left ring and small finger isolated to the left side of the ring finger and the right side of the small finger. The site also has dead skin resembling eczema. I was previously diagnosed with ulnar nerve compression@ the elbow and I have a 'bible bump' small cyst like bump in my carpel area.
Avatar n tn “Compression at the elbow, known as cubital tunnel syndrome, causes numbness in the small finger, half of the ring finger, and the back half of the hand over the small finger. Initially, the numbness is transient and usually occurs in the middle of the night or in the morning. Most cases will be minor and tend to come and go with time. Common causes are sleeping with the arm folded up, so the hand is at the person's neck and the elbow is sharply bent.
Avatar f tn It usually also has sensory changes of the palm at the thumb, index and middle fingers, and the ring finger on the side near the middle finger. I am not sure if you have these other features or not, but I will elaborate on carpal tunnel syndrome. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a compression/entrapment syndrome of the median nerve at the wrist. It usually results from excessive use of hands and occupational “microtrauma”.
Avatar f tn Often, thyroid problems can cause carpal tunnel syndrome, which causes pain, burning and numbness in the thumb and fingers. With CTS, the thumb, index, and middle fingers are affected. Also, the ring finger can be affected all around, but often it's just the side of the ring finger closest to the middle finger that is affected. The pinky is not affected at all. I agree with Barb that more background information would be very helpful.
Avatar n tn Hi, Your distribution of pain, numbness and tingling are like glove and stocking distribution of nerve dysfunction. Pain, tingling and numbness are suggestive of neuropathy. This type of neuropathy could be due to Nutritional deficiency.
Avatar m tn I am also swollen from my fingers to my shoulder and there is some numbness in my middle and ring finger.
Avatar n tn Without any injury, numbness and tingling in the little finger are usually referred from problems in the neck area. A shoulder and neck massage may help to relieve this. Or you may like to see your doctor for a proper diagnoses. Best wishes.
