I had to have a root canal redone as my previous dentist did not get the whole nerve and it became infected. The Dentist put me on amoxicillin 875mg twice a day, after 6 days I called him as it was having no effect. he then put me on clyndamycin 300mg twice a day, this is day two, it seemed better this morning and by this afternoon it isswelling slightly the tissue above my tooth is spongie again and I can tell it's filling with pus.
When I found out that I had trich, I bought Metronidazole and took 2grams (1 dosage) of it. Metronidazole made me feel really sick! Anyway, after a week I realized that I still had trich. Exactly the same symptoms were still there. So, I took Tinidazole.. a 2g dose. When will this take effect? I took tinidazole after I had dinner and went to sleep right away so that I won't feel the side effects of which I had when I took Metronidazole.
2 weeks ago I was diagnosed with Diverticulitis (I have diverticulosis), my doctor put me on Ciprofloxacin and Metronidazole. After about 2 days on that medication, I noticed everytime I ate, I would get a sharp pain in my upper right abdomen that would radiate to my flank (my right side), and then on around my back. The only difference in symptoms I am observing is sometimes clear discharge, more ofthen though, yellow, thick discharge, which is most observable in the morning, before the urination. Also, there is no odor of any kind.

He has told me to take the 2g of flagyl (metronidazolum), 400mg eficef (cefixima) and 100mg doxiciclina at the same time for the first dosage; i then take the doxiciclina 100mg, twice a dayfor 10 days. Is it ok to take a large dose all at once for the first dose?

Now I am pregnant and my OB thought I had yeast infection and prescribed metronidazole vaginal gel .75% for 5 days. (no testing to confirm what type of infection-just visual examination) I got better then got worse with itching, pain and she prescribed monostat....but then I examined myself closer and realized it was my first re-outbreak of the HSV2. I had minor spotting and went to see my OB and she confirmed what I already knew. She told me to double my valtrex for 10 days.
I took metronidazole gel at about 20 weeks for bv and baby is fine now at about 28 weeks

I know my pharmacist told me to absolutely stay away from alcohol while I was taking the pills because I would vomit alot, and he said most people wait a couple of days after they've finished before they drink. Im just wondering if two days is enough time?
Metronidazole can cause diarrhea as a side effect. But it may be also working on the infective cause of your dog's illness in the first place, so don't stop it without speaking to your vet.
Meanwhile keep your dog hydrated. If you can find an unflavoured electrolyte drink like Pedialyte that would be great. Plain water would do for a short time but Pedialyte would be better.
My heart beat is erratic most of the time anyway but when I tried taking flagyl for campylobacter, it didn't affect my heart at all. I just got extremely sick and intestinal issues worsened. They had to switch me.
My doctor said that I have bv and he prescribed me metronidazole so I have been taking that for about a week faithfully and still have a few days to go. But I have noticed that every time I go to the bathroom I get huge clots of white discharge and sometimes when I wipe there is sticky, web looking discharge. Is this normal? I am 35 weeks.
