Avatar f tn Is it common for people who suffer with seizures to have memory loss with events or measures of time if they HAD NOT had a seizure any time near the episode that they cannot remember?
Avatar m tn in comparisson to short termmemory loss and how to overcome short term memory loss without using a pill but with FAITH IN INDEPENDANCE and organizing the electrical synapses that our brains use most frequently/ rely on the most frequently.... you might need to forget some of your most valuable memories to be able to regain your short term memory... Thats how computers work... when my computer starts running out of memory it gets a case of short term memory loss on a monthly basis!
Avatar n tn I am on effexor and am experiencing memory loss. I have been on it for years at 225 mg I am a practicing bulimic, recovered alcoholic, ex smoker and exercise regularly. I am 61 and eat right in the morning and day, but the evenings are always shot. my question is does antidepressive medicine cause memory loss?
Avatar n tn Oh yes, my memory is shot. Its not just past memories but I can't even remember recent stuff, this is why I keep a journal for when I see my psych otherwise I can't even remember how i've been feeling!!! My memory used to be great, especially for conversations, I could recall them from years previous - not anymore though. Depression definitely has an impact, I have lost whole chunks of my life when I've been depressed.
Avatar m tn I have certain memory dropouts from that time, and I doubt they will come back. Which is ok with me because I'd rather forget most of the experience anyway (not the people I've met along the way though). But honestly dude, if you're huffing on the weed, isn't it pretty obvious that it's at the very least exacerbating your memory problems? It could even be the root cause of them.
Avatar f tn Not quite sure what area to post this. My husband is 43, he's a recovering alcoholic (3 yrs sobriety) and former speed / marijuana user (clean for over 12 years on this) ... a few years ago right before he quit drinking an MRI showed 14 white spots on his brain, he was worked up for MS, and was negative. My husband works 12 hr night shifts, and also sometimes about 2 weeks straight. This morning he accused me of taking 400.00 cash out of our safe, I did not do this nor would I.
Avatar n tn My son is 16 (17 in Jan). Over the past 3-4 weeks he has suffered from serious memory loss or he's just lying. There's only 3 people in the house: him, his mother and me (dad). I cautioned him last week about flushing the tolilet. He swore he didn't go to the bathroom. It could have only been him.
Avatar f tn Is it because i was far worse then what i remember, or what i was telling my theropist about the missing time she said it sounded like repressed memories. I told her i really dont think i want to know what happened to me. she said i need to remember and would through it and get passed it. I really do NOT want to remember, since i have such bad memories now i cant even phathem what i dont remember. Please tell me what you think! Am I just crazy?
Avatar n tn It has happened while driving, watching TV or even on ther computer. Not falling asleep. Just time is missing. One second it could be 5:00 and the next moment it is 6:30. What is this? What is happening? It is frightening.
Avatar n tn After coratid artery surgery, experiencing memory loss which is not consistently short term or long term, is it possible for the brain to reconfigure areas damaged by particles that passed through the filter and regain the ability to remember? This discussion is related to short term memory loss.
Avatar m tn Hello, I was diagnosed with syringomyelia and severe and mod stenosis. I've been doing rather well considering that they told me I would be in a wheel chair by now. Anyway I wondered if anyone else with this diagnosis has had problems with memory? My Nurse practitioner said it's normal then my wife looked it up and couldn't find anything on it. The memory loss that is. Nor could I. Any one know or have information on this topic?
Avatar f tn in all these memory losses, she lost most of her memory but remembered few persons which were important to her. her last memory loss was occured on 28th august, 2009 due to another surgery meant for cleaning out the tumour from her whole body. this time she dun remember ANYTHING except one person. is there any chance of recovery of her memory? also i wanted to know that if she lost her memory, is it gone forever or can she be able to remember any part of it after another memory loss?
Avatar n tn In 2007 he had a hip replacement done and ended up having 3 operations within one week because of complications. My question is could the buildup of medications etc cause him to now have memory loss, language skills loss and tremors in his right hand. He walked in to the hospital on crutches and now is dependent on a wheelchair.
Avatar f tn m thinking things that happened yesterday actually happened two days ago.....anyone experience memory loss in withdrawal. Its very bizarre. Anyway today is cussing amazing! It is day seven right?
Avatar f tn i have had no traumatic injuries or anything like that to cause memory loss.. but i do have it. it seems to affect both long and short term. it's become a nuisance to my daily life. i've been trying really hard to find a root cause or condition. i did make an appointment for it.....but i forgot to go :( anyway i've had several times where i've gotten a form to fill out and for the life of me i can't remember how old i am...
Avatar m tn Hi, Thank you very much for your question; although it is quite difficult for me to give you a precise diagnosis here without being able to examine you, though I would try to provide you some relevant information about your health concern. You need a proper assessment and investigation here since there can be many causes for memory loss & concentration impairment.
Avatar m tn Sorry Hi, My question really is about memory loss. I am only 24 years and I feel like I am too young to be experiencing this kind of memory loss; I don't know what you want to call it but I just think maybe it's getting worse? I always had a little hard time remembering things but recently I think it has reached a level now where it is impacting me and my surrondings. Less than a week ago, I lost my iphone, (or so I thought) when going at the post office.
Avatar m tn After she stopped taking the pain medication (oxicodine) she has memory loss. At first it was little things, but now she does not know what year it is, how old she is, or that she just had surgery. She does have some memory, like she knows who me and my sister are and what she does for work. Another symptom is that she says her body is soar, like she lifted a bunch of weights. We are looking for any type of input/advise. Her doctors have been doing every test and scan.
Avatar f tn Im haveing trouble remember things ..short term memory loss like when I talk it takes a while ..
562833 tn?1233756109 Does anyone or has anyone experienced memory loss over pain killers. I feel I am losing my mind half the time. I can't remember what I was about to do, or what I need to do. And where I put stuff, I am really starting to worry about this, along with all the other things, I am worried about. maybe this is just part of my OCD. I tend to worry about everything and keep stressing about it.
