memory

Avatar m tn re in an alcohol/substance related group - memory loss can be associated with drinking. It can be associated with many other things, too - from different medications, mental or cognitive health conditions, and even sometimes stress. I think it is very important that you speak to a doctor who can survey your health & lifestyle profile to work with what is known - and other factors that may not be known.

Avatar n tn I am a healthy 34 yr old male and I have been experiencing migraines over the last 4 months. The last 2 times I also experienced Memory Loss and slurred speach. I am unable to remember peoples names or common work terms for 20-30 minutes. My family has a history of migraines and my brother has had strokes in his late 20's. I recently stopped drinking and lost over 30 lbs. The migraines started after this. Would this change anything in my body to bring them on?

Avatar m tn Sorry Hi, My question really is about memory loss. I am only 24 years and I feel like I am too young to be experiencing this kind of memory loss; I don't know what you want to call it but I just think maybe it's getting worse? I always had a little hard time remembering things but recently I think it has reached a level now where it is impacting me and my surrondings. Less than a week ago, I lost my iphone, (or so I thought) when going at the post office.

Avatar f tn I am 30 yrs old & I often get bad headaches which trigger from a blinking nerve above the side portion of my eye. Recently, I started noticing yellow spots sometimes which last for a few seconds to a minute and keep moving as I blink or move my eye. I also feel that I'm forgetting things & I sometimes Stammer while I speak & even while typing I cross spell words. But this happens only once in 20 times, so I'm not sure if that's normal.

Avatar n tn Hi, Thank you very much for your question; although it is quite difficult for me to give you a precise diagnosis here without being able to examine you, though I would try to provide you some relevant information about your health concern. Avatar m tn Please respond to this tho, could all this sadness and memory loss just be the effects of not drinking? or have i really lost my mind?
Avatar n tn I can understand your concern. A couple of questions--How long has this memory loss been going on, that she can't remember having taken a shower? And how long ago did she see a doctor, and what tests if any did they do when she saw him/her? If she hasn't seen a doctor lately, since she seems worse today than she has been in the past, I would call and see if the doctor can see her today. Many different conditions can cause memory problems (including alcohol and/or other drug problems).
