Like Alzheimer's it comes and goes. The headaches and pain in my head are 24 - 7 in only gets bad once in awhile, if you have moderate pain you get use to it, at least I do I used to race motorcycles. Now if I can work on the white matter thing then it will all make sense.

Trauma to the head? How long ago was the stroke? I know that the doctors and therapists were very worried about setbacks if my husband were to fall or hit his head by banging into something in the first few months after his stroke.

I have been emotionally abused and was in a bad controlling relationship 4 years ago. I am 21 years old, yet as soon as events happen I don't remember them unless I see pictures or hear someone recall a happy event. I am not having any other symptoms of anything but not able to remember things of short term unless they are significant. Some examples are the inability to remember the events of the previous day, forgetting appointments, forgetting what I was about to say, and the worst one was when speaking to my mother, I forgot what our conversation was about when I was in the middle of a sentence. Headaches, not sleeping, change of accent, loss of smell and taste, nose bleeds, memory loss, anger issues, disorientation, blank episodes, poor memory forgets things very quickly making school a nightmare. I do not have diabeties but everybody in my family from mother to brothers have had diabeties. But I do not have it at this point. I have been diagnotics with Anexity and alittle hypertension becasue of the war. But I think I function perfectly well. Only the head problems and the forgetfulness.
