I use Kenergon a desensitising spray for the penis with lidocaine, except this time I certainly went overboard in the number of sprays I applied in the space of a few hours. Maybe 20 or so. My penis still doesn't feel quite right a few days later. Slight lack of sensitivity etc Will things go back to normal in a few days? Or is this something serious?

Does anyone know of a Cream, Spray or wipe that is safe & recommended to use in which to numb the skin prior to taking your weekly shots of peg Interferon?

ve never felt like this before in my life, I took Ibuprofen and even used Lidocaine spray but nothing seemed to work so I laid down again on my other side until the pain disappeared and I went back to sleep. This kept happening through out the night so the next day, I decided to see my GP to get an injection for the pain since I thought it would pass. But the next day, It continued, It was even worse.

It is now available even at WalMart the problem is,it is a lotion/gel type thing, so if you can, you need to apply it and give it a minute or two to get into your skin. Have not seen it in a spray but will look and let you know. Good luck BigTBird!.

Also, the lidocaine was with nystatin as a swish and swallow to treat oral thrush after several courses of antibiotics. Not sure if that matters or not.

I still try to have it occasionally and sometimes use a spray with lidocaine. Every time I have sex I always bleed afterwards, not too much but it’s every single time. This is without using the spray/ unprotected/protected and using the spray. I’ve had a vaginal ultrasound in April which was normal and I’m clean for all sexual infections and have never had one. Hi, whew, that's rough. I'm sorry! So, first. Lidocaine patches. What about lidocaine cream? It's cheap, REALLY cheap. I've gotten it on Amazon for under 6 dollars a tube. You can spend more as well and it is going to last you and go a lot further than 2 patches. And I use it and it is helpful. You could look for alternatives. They also make a spray, also inexpensive. Ketamine infusions I've heard are pretty amazing.

Magic mouthwash relieves pain I swish it before eating and after eating. Kaiser prescribed it to me has lidocaine and statin antibiotic in Maalox solution.

Hi- nothing cures these things! Look for a mouthwash/spray containing Benzydamine hydrochloride. Most everything is a prescription and doesn't always help. Ask your pharmacist if he'll give you some viscous lidocaine to swish around. He may have other suggestions of new stuff I don't know about ... stick with bland foods and liquids; drink through a straw. I feel badly for you...

I had my neck numbed with lidocaine, and that was a great help. I was also given a Valium 20 minutes prior to the procedure (which did nothing for me). All I felt during the FNA was pressure, really. It was incredibly sore for me afterwards, so I did a lot of icing down. There is absolutely, 100% NO WAY the Lidocaine effect lasted 3 weeks. Zero. Zilch. Nada, as they say. Hello, My sister needs extensive dental work i.e. root canals and fillings and crowns. She is a heart patient and we are wondering if Lidocaine, EPI, or any of the 'caines' are safe for dental work in heart patients? We do not want to start an arrythmia attack. Any safe meds? Thanks much.

Forget the Lidocaine it does not work well for the pain also the gel sticks to your underwear which sticks to you and then the pain starts all over again. Wearing larger size underwear does help, not washing with soap or letting any shampoos and so on touch the area helps, talc helps short term to stop the sticking or rubbing. Not wiping yourself with paper but just dab helps or using wipes with nothing in them helps too. Not wearing underwear in bed also helps.
