lansoprazole gaviscon

t know why they did this without addressing the cause, which seems to have been acid reflux. The lansoprazole worked but I have used Gaviscon in recent years. The problem comes back from time to time, like now, which is why I'm on this site! I'm hoping a resumption of lansoprazole will sort me out in the next few weeks. How are you now?

Is anyone else struggling with acid reflux? I am on medication, gaviscon and rennie given to me by my obstetrician but still not much improvement. How is everyone else coping?

Yes the doctor told me this. Lansoprazole, gaviscon, nasonex spray (for a nasal issue). Although this is random, I had a CT head scan before the swallowing issues began, and have been paranoid it is due to radiation. Also, thank you for the advice.

I have been using PPI medication Omeprazole until early this year where I got switched to Lansoprazole which I also got diagnosed with silent reflux (LPR) due to loosing my voice. I also take Gaviscon Advanced 3-4 times a day for the acid and heartburn. My lifestyle changed due to these diagnoses I eat more healthily and exercise more to try and keep the weight healthy. I am to have my three year check up due to the Barrett's of the Oesophagus.

ve visited gave me antiacid medication as well as gastro resistant capsules (omeprazole, lansoprazole, gaviscon, buscopan) and I never felt better, sometimes even worse. Last days the pain got really worse and I ended up in the hospital but they gave me only codeine and paracetamol and via my GP organized scan and endoscopy.

Anyway, a month later, (yesterday) I was prescribed lansoprazole but I have done some research and it says lansoprazole can cause kidney failure. Should I take these tablets or wait till Friday and get a second opinion from the hospital on my assessment?

Gaviscon and Tums work well for me. Also milk of magnesia is pregnancy safe.

Try Gaviscon liquid, it generally causes less throat problems.

I've had such bad heart burn for 3 days now.

pylori after having a breath test done, and have been prescribed by my doctor - lansoprazole 30 mg - metronidazole 400 mg - amoxicillin 500 mg. All three medacation taken twice a day for a 7 day course.I am now into the 5 th day of taking them.There seems to be no side effects, the problems of bloating,discomfort (painfull at times) that comes and goes througout the day,has not eased at all. If these combanation of tablets were going to work,would my symptons have eased by now ?.

Gaviscon, setlers mintees work for mine, I was awake at 2am this morning and I had gaviscon and it went within 5mins

gaviscon.. my dr told me to take it when tums and prilosec stopped working..

m back on Ranitidine as the side affects of Lansoprazole were unpleasant and just as bad or worse as the GERD. When I stopped taking Lansoprazole I had bad symptoms for a few days but they subsided. However since then my Acid Reflux / GERD has been more or less what it was before starting Lansoprazole. Some days its worse than others. I've also read about the negative side effects of PPI drugs.

My doc prescribed me Lansoprazole gastro resistant as there has been blood in my vomit recently. Has anyone taken it or know anything about it?

I was diagnosed with a duodenal ulcer back in February 2010. History: Prior to the diagnosis I had felt a strange pressure in my stomach occasionally which started around October 2009. I probably should have gone to the doctor when I was feeling the swelling/pressure but I thought it was just from being cramped into the Miata I had just purchased. I bought the car because some guy ran a red light and hit my previous car.

Amazing stuff some people say not to as apprently it can curdle on your stomach but it never ever has with me and you can drink as much as you want.

It came on from no where..i take 45/60mg Lansoprazole daily, suck rennie and drink Gaviscon. It has helped with the terrible pain i was feeling after eating but i still have acid attack, gurgling stomach,bloating, lump in throat/chest. The feeling like there is a lump in my throat that i cannot swallow is a pain! I have had an endoscopy which confirmed a LES.

I suffered hurt burn earlier n my pregnancy I had been eating hot stuff like crazy you have to eat small amounts. Sometimes they say if you get heartburn the babys hair will be long.

My midwife precribes me gaviscon and ots a life saver!

Not sure if they sell this stuff were you live but Gaviscon liquid is the best i think! As soon as you drink some its literally instint relief!! I wouldnt be able to go a day without it.. I have really bad heartburn too..
