jaw pain headache

What would cause my bite to shift to the right and pain at the joint of my jaw on the right? Could this change account for my having a constant eadache?

I am quite sure if it was an ear infection, you would be feeling very sick by now with a fever, and the pain would be more localized( in your ear itself) not as a headache pain. In this case, you should get an opinion from your dentist. If it is TMJ he will be able to help you better than your reg. MD.

ve had an ongoing headache for about 3 weeks now, I have been to the doctor twice, and was given Naproxen, which disagreed with me, I was told to relax, my jaw is in spasm, the headache wakes me at night, and the pain doesnt stay in the same place, yesterday it was around my left ear and jaw, this morning its at the back of my head. Has anyone got any suggestions to help it?

My oral surgeon suggested some exercises I could do and it did help a little. The instant headache pain i had went away because the regular jaw joint pain I was having suddenly didn't reach my right eye . I have had no improvement since and my o/s wants me to start therapy. Will this help ? Starting to think there will be no end to this , each meal is painful , getting really sick of this.

I got this headache on the right side of my head and it was a really bad sharp pain and I was chewing gum and the whole side of my jaw are face hurt really bad and got really tense pain effected my whole half side of my head and I got a nose bleed what could cause this??

I get headache that is mainlyon the back of my head and when I apply something cold to my jaw area the headache usually goes away. But I have read that TMJ can cause dizziness, anxiety etc while contrary to that, some people claim it cannot. Can someone with knowledge tell me the symptoms of TMJ and does it cause anxiety or vice versa?

They go from my eye to my jaw and specific points of pain are jaw, base of skull, top of skull, behind ear, where shoulder meets neck. When I have such a headache I am very dizzy, technically it's vertigo. After the ache has begun my nostril slowly closes itself and adds a bit to the pressure, but I've had sinus headaches and this is different. There are two types of headaches: primary headaches and secondary headaches. A primary headaches is not caused by a separate disease, illness or an injury. Examples of primary headaches include: migraines and tension headaches.

Also, you might go to a dentist specializing in TMJ disorders or a maxillofacial specialist, because a problem with the jaw is strongly suspect with headache on the side with jaw pain. Do you clench or grind your teeth when you sleep? I'm a clencher myself and I have both joints with arthritis and joint disc dislocations, with one of them out of place even when I open my mouth (called without reduction, I believe).

See if a chiro can adjust your jaw. I was amazed at how quickly my headache, neck and shoulder pain went away after one adjustment - less than 10 minutes. I am very serious. I only recommend chiros for musculo-skeletal isssues. I highly recommend them as somethinge to try for TMJ and sciatic nerve issues. Other that, I pretty much stay away from them. It might be both TMJ and a sinus infection though. Feel better.

I have noticed the pain go to as far as my jaw. I though it maybe something to do with my jaw because my jaw is set far back anyway (i have problems with my teeth) but I am getting no pain in my jaw. I have no vision problems. I was tested 2 months ago because doctor noticed I had large optic disks but the eye doctor said I was fine and it was physiologic disk cupping, meaning i was born with it and its not harmful.

Just an ordinary doctor could tell me that?

I do receive relief from oxcarbazepine (Trileptal) and lamotrigine (Lamictal),but they seem to be losing their impact. The pain and headache are so severe I can barely stand it. What could this be? Any thoughts on what to do?

It only lasts about 4 hours at a time then I get breakthrough pain. It always starts with a horrible headache then it goes to numbness in my cheek and jaw and ear. The other day I had a new symptom that was a sore throat pain in underneath of jaw and behind my ear. Anyway, someone told me the headache was a side effect of gabbapentin but the headache has always been present even before I started medication. The headache is constant and unrelenting.

I had the worst toothache on my left side which became jaw pain on the left side. After taking antibiotics the tooth and jaw pain slowly slightly faded with just a small toothache 1 or 2 times per week. However the eye and head pain and waking up with headaches and the horrible constant pain on my left side started maybe a few weeks after ky toothache went away. So its probably unrelated but just throwing that out there. Please help me.

(they took my blood to test for infection) I hope it will go away soon, like I said, the head pain itself is better since I relaxed my jaw. Now I just have to heal my neck/shoulders.

Doctors keeps saying its stress. The pain is fixed on right parietal region, occasionally radiated to jaw. Optic nerve OCT is ok, visual fields with central visual field constriction, diplopia on downward gaze. C reactive protein normal, globular sedimentation rate normal. Neurophtalmologist told is cephalea stress related. Are they missing something?

1 minute is in the temple and then it later will move to her forehead or in front of her ear near her jaw. It is a sharp pain that is stronger sometimes than others. We just cant figure out what is causing it?

s now been over a week and I still have mild pain symptoms (my jaw still hurts from the incident) such as a mild headache and feeling a little groggy. At this point, would I know if I had sustained some sort of epidural hematoma? From all that I've read, it seems like those who don't know they have an injury slip into a coma, or have severe symptoms within a few hours or a day or two. Can the progression ever be slower?
