Ive been really itchy in the vaginal area and it burns when i go pee. Could this be a yeats infection? I also noticed i have bumps that hurt. Is anyone know what this could be?
A yeast infection does not have blisters. I'm sorry to say it sounds like an std, possibly genital warts, they show up pretty quick. Go in as soon as possible cause you won't know without a diagnosis. Most stds they can treat quickly. I unknowingly had chlamydia til I found out I was pregnant and that I had it. Only took a week to cure. If it is an std and you don't get it cured it will most likely pass on to your baby. Get it taken care of ASAP! Good luck.
So I had a terrible breakout on my entire penis shaft that was extremenly itchy and red. It began to flake and produce bumps along the rash that looked like poison ivy (without the fluid). I had a primary care doctor take a look at it, she said it was NOT herped or warts. She scraped a piece of the skin onto a slide, left for about 30 minutes, came back and said... "yep its a fungus."

Hey guys, for th past 5 or so days I have had itching down the side of my penis, and what seems to look like tissue paper around the base of the penile head and under the skin, I'm quite certain this isn't a STD, but would like to know some sort of feedback before I see a GP.

Something similar happened to me too, except the lesions. I got 2 yeast infections in one month and my skin looks dried out and peeling, even though there is moisture from the discharge. I haven't been able to cure myself yet, so I can't really help. You should go back to your doctor to make sure that the lesions you are talking about aren't something else, like a herpes infection.

Yes yeast infections can cause cuts as I have chronic yeast infections for over 20 yrs. Cutting out gluten and Dairy helped with that for the most part.
It is possible that it could be bacterial vaginosis did she do a swab for that again to see if it went away or not? If it is BV then you would need another antibiotic.
So to me it sounds like the skin is sensitive right now and because it is itchy its causing the cuts. Do you have over the counter dufflican?

Since you are having recurrent fungal infections, so it is important to do a fungal culture of the skin scrapings of the affected area to confirm the type of fungal infection you have. Till then, wash the affected skin daily and then dry thoroughly by pat drying, not rubbing. The damp skin is an ideal site for fungi to multiply. Also wear cotton clothes and do not share other people’s towels.

I know what a yeast infection is supposed to feel like but what does it look like? I'm thinking I probably have one, the itchy/dry/soreness has gotten worse within the past 2 days and sometimes it hurts to walk. They never called me back so I'm guessing I don't have one. But, now that symptom went away and I'm just really itchy down there! Latly i been getting a lot of yeast infections i never had them before ....when my doctor gave me medicine it was a one day pill i had relief for two days then it came back so i baught a three day treatment from walgreens and its worked for a week or so and now.

Fungal or yeast infections may favor areas like the groin and other warm and moist areas in the body. Yeast infections are not necessarily sexually transmitted. Direct skin to skin contact may aid its transmission. I suggest that you avoid unnecessarily touching the area as this may only further irritate the skin. Another differential is a dermatitis. Would you be able to point out known triggers for the condition? Is the area itchy?
That symptom has never happened to me, but I have had yeast infections, and for me it is like a slight discharge that shows up kinda white on the undies and you skin down there is itchy n kinda sore and irritated feeling.. They are pretty common during pregnancy.. It's the yeast in your body getting out of whack.. While pregnant you can use the Monistat ovual/cream inserts.. You can't take the oral pill..

I'm 18 years old and recently became sexually active. Lately, the outer skin of my vagina, mainly the labia and clitoris, have been particularly itchy. I examined myself with a q-tip and it looks like the skin is peeling or is dry. I have no STD's and always use latex condoms, though I recently recovered from a UTI. I was considering using Vagisil or Monostat to see if those would help,or possibly a salt bath.
