Common Questions and Answers about Itchy rash lines

itchy

I scratched my rash under my arm (frozen shoulder so I can't see too well under the arm) and there are two straight red lines that run perpendicular to the rash. Are these scratch lines or red streaks? How do you know the difference in appearance? The rash itches and does not hurt. The bumps are red and tiny and NOT crusty or blister like. I have no pain and no fever. I have had the rash for a while and it has always been itchy. I have no swollen glands either in the arm or neck.
I have this itchy rash on my lower legs. It started on a scar i have on my leg and its spread and now its on my other leg as well. Its super itchy and sometimes hurts. I guess from scratching. There brown and look like lines. Please help me out.
My Rash is itchy and burns...it looks like scratches, sometimes is in a patch, but always has the Long scratch like Rash. It is hot to the touch....comes and goes....it does disappear after 20 or 30 Minutes. But I now have to take an antihistime to control the itching. I have had this for two months now...i went through a short detox prior to this happening along with terrible stomach pain for months. Have been tested for parasites....but something is causing this!!!help!!!
In only the last 10 days, my 8yr old son gets a weird looking itchy heat rash that appears when he overheats. It can appear on any part of his body from his face, back, chest, arms, buttocks ... anywhere. To look at (for which I have some very clear photos taken) it looks like small scars or like whip lashes. I am suspecting that he caught something when he was in a wood with his friend. The strange thing it disappears as quickly as it appears in relation to his temperature.
I find lots of water and lots of lotion, preferable with no fragrences really help. I have some persistent itchy areas - mostly around pants lines and bra lines and a couple of old shot areas that have itched consistently for months, but only had actual riba rash for a few weeks.
When I was pg with my dd, I had a rash all the time, was itchy, especially at night. It drove me crazy. The Dr. said it was a rash some women get when pg. i only had it with my dd. I am hoping it doesn't happen this time around. I used the aveno lotion, it seemed to help a little. Your Dr may be able to give you better advice or something else to help.
Hey, There is a 2 or 3 inch rash looking thing on my arm, looks like a bunch of raised lines across it. A day later is disappeared so I just passed it off like it was nothing. Than the next day it reappeared just a little bit under my forearm, below my elbow. Its itchy but i'm not scratching. It reappeared pretty close to where it last was.
i have had a rash that consists of itchy bumps on the front of my elbow and appear to be in two lines of four each...i have been using benadryl cream and spray regularly which provides nominal relief but the rash persists for now 3 weeks...any suggestions for clearing it up?
I developed a rash about 11 days ago that is mostly on my hips, thighs, buttocks and lower back. The rash is not itchy and has different patterns. Some are wide raised patches; dots; streaked looking scratch lines; etc. I was sick with what seems to be both a bacterial and viral infection and was diagnosed with strep throat last week (although they never did a throat culture). I had migratory arthritis for about 5-6 days, but that has gone away. I also have a swollen gland in my neck.
about 3 weeks ago a real itchy rash showed up under the crease of my butt. it itched like crazy. it started out as like 3 little bumps and turned into a cluster of of pimple like bumps. I doctored it really well with anti itch medicine. about a week later on the same leg, a new line of a rash came up. decided to go to the doctor, they gave me a decahedron shot and told me to come back if it was still there in the next couple days.
I have looked up scabies and yes we have itchy rash but we dont have the lines (burrows) and the spots don't seem to look the same as on photo's. There is only me and my son that has this in our household and if it was scabies surely other members who we have close contact with would have them too. I don't think it is scabies has anyone having same problems or any ideas on what the problem could be.
After sometime, I observed a few tiny raised spots on my neck which were itchy. In half hour, there were three long lines and it appeared as if someone had scratched my back hard with nails. This rash started to 'move'. It would disappear from one spot completely and then in a few minutes reappeared somewhere else. From my neck, it went down on my back and turned into a very blotchy red itchy rash all along the panty elastic. even my palms and soles would become itchy just like on the skin.
its almost 4am. i can't sleep due to the intense itchy from that red patch of rash on my face.. neck.. this rash started as a small, dime sized irritation just below left side of my mouth 8 years ago.. it started as some kind of itch, burning sensation. i scratched it and it turned to a dime sized red rash patch. it would then go away... only to reappear weeks or months later. 2 years ago, this rash became bigger... it started out as itchiness, accompanied by a little burning sensation..
Its hard to see the rash on my lower back, but you can sure feel it.. I think sometimes when its dry, and not itchy.. you can hardly see it, but you can sure feel the aligator skin..
Lately, I have had some deep itches on my face and I have scratched them with my finger nail or held my fingernail on the itches for a few seconds to relieve the itch as it itches so bad, and after I am done holding my fingernail on the itches or scratching them with my fingernail, it has left little red lines on my face. I think they are broken blood vessels. They still itch and I try not to scratch them. When other parts of my face itch, I try to rub it with my finger, not my nail.

for a couple years now ive noticed these lines on the shaft of my penis like wrinkles, but they remain even when my penis is erect. the lines run from the base of my penis up to where i was circumsized, the lines are darker in between one another. the skin is still stretchy & it doesnt feel dry, but im wondering if i damaged the skin from masterbating to much. i would masterbate pretty much every day & i never used lubrication.
Hi I have slightly raise white lines under my penis head. There are also similar sports under my foreskin on the shaft. The lines get worse after a shower and improve when dry, they are sumtimes itchy..... They have been there for 2 years. It started as a tiny white patch. I got it check and I was given a cream to treat thrush. This got rid of the mark, but left a grey/brown patch on the head of my penis. Since the lines have appeared under the head in the same place.

Hello, It can be due to heat rash or sweat dermatitis. Heat rash tends to occur on areas of the body where skin touches skin, such as under the breasts, on the inner thighs, and under the arms. Tiny red spots with itching and pricking sensation are the characteristic appearance of this rash. Avoid using any lotions and creams for the meantime. Use a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil.
I have the same issues as everyone else. Itchy, swollen lips with a rash often accompanied by swollen eyes. I visited the dermatologist twice this week. The first time, he thought it was a peanut allergy, so I was put on anithistimines; however, while on antihistimines I developed swollen eyes and lips! Upon visiting the doctor again, I was prescribed a topical ointment for the lip area. The doc said that this condition is tricky to diagnose.
Hi, Well, I wear classic briefs panties, and once in a while my buttocks start to itch where the panty lines at the buttocks (near the hips) are. The itchiness lasts until I FINALLY have to use to ladies' room to itch. It's completely embarrassing, and there's no rash. I'm sure it's not the fabric or the laundry soap/detergent/softener/etc... because it's the same for all briefs. I need help please! And no dermatologists!
It didn't go away and has now developed into an itchy, hard and rough white patch.Along the crease lines of my palm it is white and other areas along my palm are itchy as well.My left palm also has some itchiness.I also experience some itchiness in between some of my fingers and close to my fingernails.I have no previous history of skin infections nor disorders and am nineteen years old.I use lotions regularly, but they do not soothe.
My 16 year son has about 6 to 7 vertical lines of various lenghts on his sides of his rib cages in the center of his torso. He said they do not itch. They look like stretch marks but are red. Is this something I should take him to the doctor for review?
