Common Questions and Answers about Itchy rash eyebrows

itchy

hi, i have developed an itchy rash between my eyebrows and have been searching a diagnosis as well as a cure. I've come across a site called Fengshui that diagnosis it as "liver imbalance"... They recommend cutting out/reducing animal fats, spicy foods, alcohol, eggs, diary products and eating 2 hours before bed time. All this i am guilty of over-endulging in, are/where you guys? They then recommend increasing: Strong vegatables e.g.
Hello, I have been dealing with an inflammed, itchy, red rash above my eyebrows for about a year now. I have SLE (Lupus) and it was originally thought that this was part of the malar rash I have on my cheeks. However, I believe it to be something else since it is itchy and does not go away as frequently as the malar rash.
For like the last couple months the peak of my hair is extremely itchy and flaky, also my eyebrows. I am using all kinds of dandruff shampoo and nothing is helping. What could it be ?
Help. About 4 months ago, I developed an itchy scalp (no flaking), eyebrows, eyelashes and soon itchy bumps all over my face. Now, it's slowly moved to chest, shoulders and back. I've noticed it's where I sweat. Also, it clears up as it moves around. In other words, my face and chest are much better, but shoulders and back are new. I work out 5 days a week. Two one hour sessions of cardio make me sweat in all of these affected areas.
I have the same issues as everyone else. Itchy, swollen lips with a rash often accompanied by swollen eyes. I visited the dermatologist twice this week. The first time, he thought it was a peanut allergy, so I was put on anithistimines; however, while on antihistimines I developed swollen eyes and lips! Upon visiting the doctor again, I was prescribed a topical ointment for the lip area. The doc said that this condition is tricky to diagnose.
I am living in Australia and when i started working for this company in an office enviroment i started noticing this weird itch around my nose, up fore head and ears. it also gets itchy all over my body but not as much. i have no visible rash, bites or any marks what so ever. it also is contagious and i notice people around itching there faces around there nose and ears when i dont even itch myself. i havnt noticed any pattern to when it is worse but it is pretty contstant.
It pops up in random pimple like bumps on my arms, face (especially around eyebrows), and one cluster of red/pink itchy bumps on each leg close to the inner thigh, on my neck - some pimple looking, some hive looking, large itchy welts behind my ears, hive looking ones on my chest, etc. They itch very VERY badly when I am hot or start to sweat, or in a hot bath. They get viciously worse in the summer, and lay pretty dormant (as in not itching and spreading..
I have also been feeling itchy in strange areas like by my nose, and my nose has white patches. My eyebrows itch, and I have also noticed a rash on my body that looks like pink dots surrounded by white spots (almost look like hives). I have been to a dermatologist 4 times now and they have instructed me to use Lotrimin Ultra which has not helped and some ultra moisturizing cream on my feet, which has helped a little. I am at the point now where I am really getting frustrated.
For about a week now I have been feeling very itchy; under my eyes itch, my eyebrows, my hand, just about everywhere.... could this be an allergy problem?
Try googling "cradle cap" and see if you can find a photo of it. Here is a description: "The red, flaky pieces of scalp that looks like dandruff on your baby is called 'cradle cap.' Initially, you'll notice the redness of your baby's scalp, and it sometimes can extend on the creases of the neck, behind the ears, armpits, face, and even in the diaper area. "Cradle cap is not a serious problem, but still it is bothersome, especially to the parents.
Cynth: I'm stumped, as apparently is your dermatologist. I don't think I've ever seen a rash which has 5 white dots in a circle. When you say that the rash is "spreading amoung a group of flight attendants," do you mean that they have the same thing--white dots in a circle? That would truly be an amazing coinicidence, since your condition can hardly be bacterial. If it were bacterial, it would spread first on you--outside the circle to the rest of your face, or body.
ive recently been getting red, dry itchy burning skin, and it appears in the same places all the time. in my eyebrows, the bridge of my nose, both my cheeks, and along my jawline on each side. it usually goes away for a while, but it always comes back. i took some pictures today if anyone would like to see them. it looks so horrible this morning that i had to stay home from work. it also goes into my gotee and moustache, turning them both red and burning, and also cause flaking.
I suffered for the past year with a rash-like infection that 22 different types of doctors could not identify. The rash began with small bumps on the thighs, fevers, strange looking hairs on my scalp, legs, arms, chin, eyebrows and eye lashes. The bumps turned into ulcers which would not heal even though I was prescribed 10 different anti-bacterial antibiotics over the past year.
No common theme on when it starts that I know of. What it looks like? Most people describe the "average" riba rash as a light red, dry rash usually with raised little bumps all over. But again, everyone is different, this is just what I've heard described and what I personally experienced with the so called riba rash. Speaking for myself, there were other facets of it though. Although much of what I went through was also either directly or indirectly tied into a telaprevir rash.
In December doc said virus had cleared my body. I have since devoloped a rash last month. Extremly itchy skin with some things that look like welts. Any body else experience this? What is the secret to getting rid of it? I have tried benadryl, all kinds of lotions, cold showers all help a little but still wake up from scratching.
She thinks I have some kind of allergive eczema, but I don't think so as the lotion is not working and I have had eczema before and it was itchy and didn't look like this. This rash is not itchy, but burns most of the time like a sunburn. I did eat some homemade tomato sauce the day before I first got it so maybe it's the citric acid. So I will try to avoid it from now on.
I have very very itchy spots all over my body(except my back) that on my hands and arms and legs resemble bug bites and on my thighs and near my groin i have a few rash type areas that remind me of poison ivy.there are also a few bumps and sores on my groin. I never was a person that could help from itching, and when i had chicken pox, athletes foot and lice, i itched until i scraped skin off.
Now it is in both ears so badly that i have to pick the skin off to hear right and has also spread to both eyebrows and even my right eyelid! It's becomeing embarassing to have peope see it but everything ive tried hasnt managed to get rid of it. Im trying hydrocortozone now because i read on wiki that it might help but i doubt it will. Please help me! This discussion is related to Rapid desquamatization of skin in ear canal.
What causes a red, itchy pimple-like rash on scalp with subsequent hair loss? I have been treated with Ketokonazole shampoo, steroid liquid applied to scalp, chemical- and fragrance-free shampoo and conditioner (Free & Clear), stopped coloring my hair, etc. and so far nothing has taken this away. I am now losing my hair! Can anyone help me?
It's a non-itchy rash, not red, scattered all over my face particularly on my cheeks and lower eyebrows. it's a tiny bumps and so i thought it was just heat rash in my face. My facial skin feels so dry and like going to peel yet moisturized. it kinda worry me since it's not usual. I applied aloe vera gel yet of no use. What could it be? hoping i'll get a reply..
no lesions or rash, just itchy hands and feet -- 1) The itch is localized, palms and/or ankles and soles, and it comes and goes with no regularity 2) However, several years ago when it first appeared, it was several times a week and I attributed to a specific building I used to work. Doctor prescribed allegra --- as long as I was taking daily allegra I was free of the itch. After I left that job, I could discontinue allegra; but the symptoms have not completely vanished.
I'm a 33-year-old male. Recently I've had a couple of flare-ups that I haven't had since I was in my late-teens and early 20's. It starts with a slight tingling sensation at the center of my forehead. Later a red, itchy rash develops on my forehead. After a day or so, the rash usually "scabs" over with crusty, flaky skin. Eventually, after a few days, I can wash the "dead" skin away, apply a moisturizer and the skin returns to normal.
Could be a malar rash. You should follow up with your doctor and get ESR and ANA to rule out lupus. Although the rash can be an early sign without any other symptoms, your age is much older than the typical presentation.
After a recent hair cut I noticed a rash in the follicles of my left eyebrow. It appeared about 3 days afterwards and I am relating it to this event since the lady cutting my hair also cuts my eyebrows which are rather pronounced ( Spock from Star Trek anyone?) If I recall correctly she went a little deep on the left side and seems to have scraped the skin. It became very itchy, crusty and had a slight yellowish liquid coating for the first few days.
This time the bumps have become itchy and flaky. They are on my entire face, around my nose, under my eyebrows etc. However, they are not on my neck. What can I do to help alleviate this? With the numerous ingredients listed on face products now, is there any way to tell which ingredient may be causing this reaction so I can avoid it in the future? Thank you.
I sense relief then the symptoms return. Most days I can hear but am constantly aware that my ears are itchy. The challenge is to not itch. If I itch, I usually get flaky stuff that I literally can lift off my inner ear.If I itch too much it becomes wet and begins draining a wet clear fluid. Then at night, whatever side I lay on clogs shut. In the morning there is thick crusty crud that again I try not to pick at. Im obviously in continual circle of symptoms here.
It gets really itchy. It dries out and peels away after awhile. It shows up as well in my eyebrows. My eyebrows dry out and peel skin underneath the hair. I hate it. Also I get like red bumps on the hairline of my scalp and it spreads all through out my scalp. Even around my ears where my sideburns are. Its embarrassing because it gives me a ridiculous amount of dandruff. I use selsun blue, but it doesn't do anything. I'm thinking it might be dermatitis.
Most of the time the rash is not itchy, but sometimes there may be a minor intermittent itch. Sometimes I may present with the rash and maybe an hour later, it may have gone away or changed significantly in shape or color. As the rash fades away, the skin can feel a bit dry and may scale a bit (in other words a thin layer may lightly flake).
