imiquimod how to apply

Should I put Neosporin or something on the lesions? Or is this normal and should I just continue to regularly apply the imiquimod cream? Thanks!

The doctor prescribed me Aldara which is a cream to treat genital warts. I was told to apply it 3 times a week, and Ive been doing it so, until a week ago when I researched all about Aldara and it says to do it twice a week. I am currently in week 8. So The warts are gone.. they were gone on week 4, but now the issue is this. As part of the down part of using Aldara is that it makes your skin go red where you apply it. But what happened now is that it burned off a piece of my skin.

I was prescribed imiquimod to be applied 3 days a week but heard apple cider vinegar does a great job of clearing warts. Is it a good idea to apply the imiquimod mon,wed, fri night and apple cider vinegar tues, thurs, saturday nights? Anyone tried this or have any results from either one they would share?

Aldara is used for several skin conditions. Your doctor will tell you where to apply Aldara cream, and how often and for how long to apply it for your condition. Aldara should be applied just before bedtime and left on the skin for 6-10 hours. If your skin condition reappears you need to talk to your doctor.

Aldara is supposed to be slower acting in men (up to 16 weeks). In studies, the 5% cream every other day was found to be considerably more effective than the 3%. Mine returned 7 days after warticon, few but in different places. Just had them frozen off (surprisingly pain free and easy). I have Aldara on standby. The wart doctor specifically told me that they shouldn't return. Go without sex for 3-6 months. If no warts appear in that time, they have cleared.

t want to wait another 3 months for them to surface. How do I deal with warts still totally under the skin?

I applied aldara (imiquimod) to the shaft of the penis in an attempt to get rid of what I presumed were penile warts. About a week after use, I developed well localised red and swollen skin on the head of the penis which then ulcertated and has been slow to heal. Redness after mole excision should disappear within two to four weeks but if it persists then apply calamine lotion and get it evaluated for any infection of the area. Greetings, I don't come around here much any more, but two/three years ago I was quite active on this forum. Recently I may have had another outbreak after 2 1/2 years without. Doctor gave me Aldara. Thought I'd pass my thoughts along. I've had warts burned off with nitrogen and cauterized as well. Aldara doesn't seem to be an alternative to me. First, you have to apply three nights a week for three months.

Dear doctors , I have a small genital wart on my foreskin and I started to use imiquimod cream recently . The instruction says that I should use the imiquimod cream during bedtime . However , I have more erections during sleep (than day time ), the imiquimod cream might be wiped off by the underwear when I have an erection. In this case , Can I use imiquimod during the day instead of bedtime ?

3) I would like to continue applying the Imiquimod cream, but I also want to monitor my penis over the next 14 days for any signs of herpes. Is it possible that application of Imiquimod cream could delay/alter the appearance of HSV2 lesions, so that I would not know if I have acquired HSV2??? I know the blood test for herpes would not be affected by Imiquimod, but I'm wondering about the appearance of herpes lesions. Can I continue applying the Imiquimod??

Hello, Can anyone describe their experiences with Imiquimod? I am on the 3.75% cream which my doctor has told me to use every other day for a month. In the first 2 weeks, nothing happened, only just a couple days ago I noticed a very slight indication that the medication might be working, but I'm still not sure. I have about 20-30 very small warts, and notice 2 or 3 of them showing a bit of redness and drying up a bit. Still not sure if this is due to the medication.

found this while checking how to resolve fever, nausea and vomiting due to imiquimod intf/production.last week i used 1000mg paracetamol but fever did not lower from 38° and felt a little better only after vomiting my guess is 1000mg of paracetamol taken 6-12hrs before intf pick and so before fever, nausea, chills and pains will prevent feeling so bad and vomiting?

Other treatment options include electrical cautery, surgical removal, Carbon dioxide laser treatment and electrodesiccation. In my opinion you should talk to a cosmetologist/dermatologist about this and get these warts evaluated. I hope it helps.

She prescribed me Imiquimod cream to apply three times a week. I lost the cream and was frankly just too impatient to use it, I wanted the molluscum to be frozen off with cryotherapy. They were frozen off and successfully healed but even the day of the therapy I noticed that she missed one of the mollscum bumps and I still currently have it to this day. I am just getting anxiety about her diagnosis. How difficult is it to misdiagnose mollscum? Is it easily mistaken for genital warts?
