No I would not diagnose a skin disorder myself either, I did see a dermatologist over a month ago, she did a biopsy on the first lesion and it came back positive for BCC. The prescription she gave me is for Imiquimod Cream 5%, it worked great with my first lesion, which is very small right now and slowly fading.
Of 24 patients treated, at various dosing intervals, with topical 5% imiquimod cream, 20 (83%) lacked evidence of BCC on biopsy 6 weeks after therapy compared with only one of 11 (9%) of the group treated with vehicle control.31 It remains to be established whether oral formulations of imidazoquinolines will extend the range of potential cancers that could be treated.

I was so glad about this because all this time I understood and thought it was BCC, because of the paper she gave me with instructions on how to treat BCC, how to use the cream, and info on what to expect during the treatment.
I asked about the possible relation between Riba/interferon treatment and BCC, she said there is no evidence to support it. BUT with such harsh drugs as we are taking, our immune system goes crazy during treatment, and basically anything is possible.

I have a small genital wart on my foreskin and I started to use imiquimod cream recently . The instruction says that I should use the imiquimod cream during bedtime . However , I have more erections during sleep (than day time ), the imiquimod cream might be wiped off by the underwear when I have an erection. In this case , Can I use imiquimod during the day instead of bedtime ?
I also developed a basal cell lesion on my right cheek starting with a small area 10 years or more ago. The BCC slowly grew until it became about 6 MM in diameter with a surprisingly deep pit that would fill in with a crusty material. I finally decided I needed to have it removed, but before the dermatologist would consider that, he put me on a regime of Efudex. I survived the Efudex treatment with relatively minimum trauma and my AK is cleared up.

2) I have HPV with a small genital wart that I am treating with Imiquimod cream but has not yet gone away (the wart is on the other side of my penis, not the part of the penis that rubbed against her as I laid on my back, so I am sure the wart did not touch her) What is her risk of contracting genital warts from me???

Im not sure if I should go to the er for this but this is how ive been feeling all day, I woke up and I almost puked, then I went to bcc walking cus it wasnt cold and I almost fainted and my chest started hurting bad, so I came back home con cold sweat and a headache

Aldara is a cream used for topical treatment of non-melanoma skin cancer, and is thought to act through stimulation of anti-tumour immunity. The active ingredient, imiquimod, has been shown to stimulate toll-like receptor 7. Aldara also induces psoriasis-like lesions when applied to naive murine skin, and as such is used as a mouse model for psoriasis. Here we find that in naive murine skin, Aldara induces inflammation largely independently of toll-like receptor 7.
Can anyone describe their experiences with Imiquimod? I am on the 3.75% cream which my doctor has told me to use every other day for a month. In the first 2 weeks, nothing happened, only just a couple days ago I noticed a very slight indication that the medication might be working, but I'm still not sure. I have about 20-30 very small warts, and notice 2 or 3 of them showing a bit of redness and drying up a bit. Still not sure if this is due to the medication.
That's odd the ur 11 weeks and due on the 3Rd bcc I'm 12 weeks and I'm not due till the 30th I wonder y?
A couple of weeks ago i discovered warts on my genital area at the base of my penis and was diagnosed formally by my dr. I was prescribed imiquimod to be applied 3 days a week but heard apple cider vinegar does a great job of clearing warts. Is it a good idea to apply the imiquimod mon,wed, fri night and apple cider vinegar tues, thurs, saturday nights? Anyone tried this or have any results from either one they would share?
t irritated at all. This could very easily be a BCC which does not worry me too much because they are pretty curable. The part that has me really worried is that they took a biopsy of a small pink growth that indented when she pushed on it. My mother has had this growth since last fall and has not gotten bigger, changed shape, or changed color. We get the biopsy results in about a week. I've been worried sick thinking that that bump or patch could be nodular melanoma or melanoma.

I was prescribed Aldara (imiquimod) to get rid of a few perianal HPV warts since cryotherapy was only making it worse. After only about 2 weeks of usage almost all symptoms of the warts were gone however I now have perianal psoriasis in its place. That is one of the side-effects of imiquimod and it mainly strikes people whom are genetically prone to having psoriasis.
2, Is it useful for me to use Imiquimod with no genital warts? Or does Imiquimod useful to help me clear the hpv virus in three months?
3, I also have an ulcers on my penis a week ago which can be seen when it's wet (it become white), and it disappear after 5 days. I kind of thought it's because of the allergy of Imiquimod. But does herpes appear 3 months after the sex?
We have now seen the Chief of Dermatology at UM who looked at the slides and determined that what my daughter has is morpheaform bcc. We went to see the Radiologisit/Oncologist at UM (Dr. Wolfson) who told us that he would use external beam radiation for 4 to 5 weeks and that she would have excellent results with minimum risk.

Less aggresssive cancers such as basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) show up in a variety of forms. (I've had four diagnoses of BCC to date. Each case acted and looked different.)

Definitely ask your doctor just to be sure. You dont want to be bcc thing to much of soMething. Believe it or not to much vitamins can be as bad as not enough.
If you are using imiquimod cream to treat genital and anal warts, you will probably apply it once a day for 3 days a week (e.g., Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday).
