I have been vomiting and my stomach hurts a lot I feel bloated.
About 3 weeks ago I had an extremely bad case of food poisoning, with a LOT of vomiting, diarrhea and dehydration over the course of two days. Since then, I've been taking vitamins and trying to eat things like kale every day, but about a week after the poisoning I began getting leg pains behind both knees, and a general feeling of weakness when bending the knees or putting weight on them.
due date was the 10th of December. my pregnancy was text book until i went for the twelve weeks glucose tolerence test in which i was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, which is not uncommon in pregnancy. Still all went well. Because i had developed diabetes though i now had to watch my sugar intake, so i was sent to see the diabetic nurse to monitor my progress in the pregnany.
Antibiotic associated diarrhea actually IS, beside food poisoning, disorder where probiotics (only above ones) are officially recommended.
some prefer one to the other. Tylenol does nothing for me. I take ibuprofen and vicoprofen, a more effective combo for me.
I had a Trauma with some Dentistry which seems like triggered it off again a year ago, I had the Lyme titer done a few weeks ago , negative, he didnt really (The Doc) want to know my opinion, anyway today I get the results back of a CBC and the white cell count is very low, which indicates infection, I am on anti biotics and they are going to redo the CBC or have done I get thise results tomorrow ,the anti biotics are for the worst case of food poisoning or stoach flu I ever experienced.
(Age 0-10) Pneumonia, Bronchitis, Strep, Viruses, Food Poisoning, SEVERE and bleeding Ear infections, enlarged lymph nodes and other apparent nodules that dissipated with antibiotics. Due to very severe and chronic ear infections and failed tubes, I had surgery in my ears and Adenoids removed.
I'm feeling full, really full, like I just ate like 5 hot dogs or something. I have been eating lightly so food isn't the cause. Is this bloating?? Again, I feel silly even asking this but I have honestly never experienced this. I also feel just kinda blah. I can't really explain it. I'm not nauseated or crampy, just feel like ick. I get up out of bed to walk around for a few minutes and I start to feel weak. Not in a major way, just in a I'd rather be in bed way. Does that make sense??
due to a bout with what I thought was food poisoning and on occasion having indigestion, acid reflux and nausea once in while I decided to have lab work done...tested positive for H Pylori and my liver enzymes were elevated (350) I don't drink, don't take any medicines on a routine basis...for about a week I took Ibuprofen, rolaids and even dramamine. My vitamin d level was low (23). The Nurse Practitioner who ordered the lab work prescribed meds for H Pylori, which I am still taking....
however this hasn't really happened before. Does altitude mess with stomach ulcers? is this possible food poisoning? I've traveled before and never had problems. any advice is a huge help!
Take an OTC lactobacillus preparation with meals. Drink plenty of fluids (lemonade, soups, herbal tea, water). Eat light, do not stay hungry but eat simple things like toast, porridge, cereals, crackers etc. Take ORS. Take over the counter antacid and antiemetic (this SOS for vomiting). Keep fever down by sponging and anti fever medication. Watch out for a day or two with this treatment. If this does not help, please consult a doctor immediately, maybe go to ER if that’s the fastest way.
I just wonder if it is a mild case of food poisoning....I am mildly overweight despite doing a gruelling one hour circuit training around the Common evry two days and am in my fifties..................Aha the joys of middle age!
Causes of vomiting could arise from the gastrointestinal tract like acute gastritis caused by infections, helicobacter pylori and rotavirus, food poisoning by salmonella, E.coli, peptic ulcer disease and gastro esophageal reflux disease. Central causes are migraine headaches, meniere’s disease of the inner ear, heat exhaustion, head injury, pituitary adenomas. It can be seen in association with diseases like diabetes, hepatitis, gall bladder disease, pancreatitis, kidney stone or failure.
I could not believe it!! Unfortunately, I got food poisoning before I could get through the rechallenge part, but once I started eating normally, the symptoms returned. Now I avoid food additives and certain other triggers, because I know they make me feel miserable. The other causative factor was a chronic simus infection that I did not notice I had, or just got used to having.
I am also pretty dizzy at times, sorry, I forgot that :)
the last time I was in the hospital my blood work said low potassium, low white blood cell count and positive for a intestinal parasite. took the wormer but I haven't gotten any better. after getting out from ICU and I was in there for 3 days. I was feeling better. I didn't have any symptoms but when it hit the week mark they came back plus some ten fold. so ill and weak I couldn't get out of my bed. I had to send my son away to live with my sister because I could take care of him.
It is thought that the bacteria is spread through contaminated food or water. People may pick up the bacterium from food that has not been washed well or cooked properly or from drinking water that has come from an unclean source. Research studies suggest that having contact with the stool or vomit of an infected person can spread H. pylori infection. And H. pylori has been found in the saliva of some infected people, which means infection could be spread through direct contact with saliva.
But a few days ago, I did get some kind of infection in my system, I think due to minor food poisoning, which caused me to have loose, liquid stools which involved quite a bit of mucus for two days. Is it possible the passing of all that mucus somehow left the area irritated or what? I checked the area in the mirror (what other way?) and saw nothing out of the ordinary. Just red around the area because of the irritation to the sensitive skin. I work, and I notice I do sweat down there some.
I went to the doctor saying i was throwing up, my stomach hurt, i had diahrea and i was on my period. He gave me a shot in the but and said i had food poisoning. Eventualy i got perscribed ibuprofen 400MG then 600MG for the pain. Later i went back to the doctor had another ultrasound, they said i had fluid in my ovaries which they thought mite be period blood and so i was referred to a gyno. The gyno said i had endometriosis.
Your rear end problems could be liver disease but they could also be many other things food poisoning, bacteria, regular stomach bug, not eating enough. I think the CT scan would have shown any liver swelling caused by Hepatitis. If viral Hepatitis concerns you take an HCV antibody test at 6 months and and HBV antibody test at the appropriate window period. If your Doctor thinks viral Hep is a real risk they may offer surface antigen testing for either.
I was 15 and ignorant. A year or so passed and I was hospitalized for food poisoning. I was given a Demerol/Phenergan drip and about 10 hours after I was released I had that same gnawing feeling in my legs, arms, and back. This time it felt like an unwelcoming tickle but deep inside my bones. I couldn't sleep for a few hrs but still never thought it was due to any withdrawal. The same year, 2005, I had a series of dental procedures and was on Vicaprofen (a combo of 7.
Well I had an episode right in the middle of taking cyclic ibuprofen for something else. I know blood pooling and redness can happen with POTS with standing. And since her dizziness increases the longer she stands, doing more extensive orthostatic testing sounds like it may be in order.
He perscribed Levaquin for a week and I felt fine after that. I ended up traveling to Ecuador and became ill with some sort of food poisoning during the last 2 or 3 days of my antibiotics cycle. The food poisoning passed I thought and I had sex with my girlfriend. During orgasm I experienced a more intense border line painful ejaculation but felt fine after that. I had sex several more times for 3 or 4 more days and then another bout of diarreha but no nausea.
I took 2 ibuprofen 2 days prior although have used ibuprofen for quite a while to control tension headaches. So I returned to the UK and have seen a specialist gastro. I had an endoscopy yesterday which showed nothing wrong there. I had a biopsy taken and a stool culture is again being analysed for white blood cells to indicate possible healing by the body which would indicate I would have a colonoscopy.
I was taking Ibuprofen for my joint pains and my leg swell up and went red. Doc said that Ibuprofen can cause oedema (fluid retention). I would see the doctor about the rash on your leg, as this could be an infection or an allergic reaction to one of you meds. When taking Ibuprofen, take that with food, or the doctor may have prescribed you with a stomach medication to take. Ibuprofen can cause damage to the stomach.
Various things have brought on these episodes (stress, food poisoning, alcohol), and I have gone to the E.R. several times and am always told they cannot find anything in my blood, urine and/or other tests they ran. When I went to the E.R. the last time, the doctor was concerned due to the fact that I was throwing up blood that he ran a CAT Scan, and again, nothing was discovered. Last Thursday (10/2) I ate lunch and starting vomiting a few hours after that; this lasted until about 2:30 a.
He quit taking them at that time, felt like crap for 3-4 days, and moved on. I'm either gonna have to come clean or come up with a case of food poisoning or something. The menstrual symptoms will only carry me so far, and it is allergy season, which could explain away the runny nose...anyway, I'm afraid of being in pain again everyday more than anything. I know I can get through this right now, its the pain! The Pain!! I'll let everyone know how its going. Good luck to all of you!
Initially we contributed it to menstrual pains (it seemed likely) but around that time i had also had a nasty case of food poisoning from bad chinese food. the pain at this time was just a strong achey feeling that made me have to lie down after meals. it especially hurt after dinner time (this is also when i have my largest meal of the day). After a while though it became a painful stabbing pain in my abdomen, which occurred right before lunch.
I haven't been diagnosed with Reiter's, but I just read about it today and I think that's what I've been having. I had food poisoning back around 1995. Shortly thereafter, I had a brief bout of blurred vision, intermittant bilateral knee pain, my allergies became much worse, and I experienced chronic loose stools. For years, I thought I had a parasitic infection, but testing was always negative. I even took anti-helminth medications without relief.
Three days ago, I got severe food poisoning with forceful vomiting and diarhea, and after everything in my stomach came up, I had dry heaves for a while. I felt a pain in my chest under the sternum, right between my breasts while I was vomiting. Since then, there is a twinging pain in that same area under the sternum. I notice it whether I'm standing or laying down. Last night, while sleeping on my stomach, the pain woke me up.
