Avatar m tn Peak 8 actually stimulates the growth hormone in the body. I encourage you to visit Dr Mercola’s site to learn more about Peak 8 fitness because I personally feel that it is one of the best ways to exercise, especially considering the speed at which you can lose fat and build muscle.  I highly recommend you read this article and watch the videos on the page.
Avatar f tn My tech did (: at my anatomy scan I was like cool I don't even know this chick and then also my clinic does it free later on in the pregnancy. (: so two free 3d ultrasounds, I love it!
Avatar f tn I think there should be a meet up lol wouldn't that be cool? In a year we all could meet and have a mommies night out, it would just be cool to meet all of the mommies one day.
Avatar n tn I agree. That's pretty high. You probably don't feel very well at that level, right? I hope you can find a good doctor who can help. And ditto what rumpled said: thyroid antibodies would be good to test in addition to Free T3 and Free T4. Good luck!

I am now getting all kinds of viral infecitons, does snythorid play in that?> It looks to me like myabe I need more Free T3 I am going to ask him about that and maybe taking a natrual form like armor that has both t3 and t4.

Avatar m tn I go gets tested and my TSH is JUST out of range and I can feel it. I up the dose by .25 and life is never better. For two weeks I have bliss, I sleep well, good strength, no aches. After that I feel the decline. Basically I have had to up my meds every 6 weeks. The doc said there is no need to test for antibodies since the treatment shouldn't change. But maybe it's cause I am making my thyroid lazy by adding meds to it... I dunno.
Avatar f tn At the very least, you need TSH, Free T3 and Free T4; depending on those results, you will want to get tested for antibodies. You also need to have an ultra sound to check for nodules on your thyroid. Do you have any symptoms of hypothyroidism? If so, which?
Avatar m tn ive been using a small ordinary table and it gets hard to reach the keyboard..i know...good excuse...
Avatar f tn Do you know what your current thyroid hormone levels are? You should be tested, periodically, for Free T4, Free T3 and TSH. If you have current levels, it would be helpful if you could post them, along with their corresponding reference ranges. That will help us determine whether or not you need an increase in your Synthroid. It's also very common for those of us with Hashimoto's to have nodules on our thyroid, so it would be helpful to know if you've had a thyroid ultrasound.
Avatar f tn i asked that because when i lay down on my back, i feel something hard in my stomach and a second heart beat. i just went to planned parenthood last monday and i took the hormone blood test but it came negative.
Avatar f tn I am 39 years old and trying to conceive and I am wondering if I should be concerned about abnormal thyroid levels. I can’t seem to get any clear answers on whether or not I really have a “hyperthyroid” issue. I started noticing that my hair was falling out (thinning), scalp burned, increased irritability, sleep disturbances, “hot flashes “and weight loss w/ increased appetite about year ago.
Avatar f tn My son was born at 33+3, so my previous ob said with subsequent pregnancies I will need weekly hormone shots to prevent preterm labor. I am now 12+4 with my second child. In 1.5 weeks I see a doctor (I usually see a midwife) to discuss preterm labor prevention. Anyone have experience with pregnancy after having a preemie? What sort of side effects do the hormone shots have?
Avatar f tn In addition the response to thyroid hormone, mentioned in the definition, is affected by a number of variables such as Reverse T3, cortisol, Vitamin D, B12 and ferritin. So I recommend that you get those tested, along with Free T3 and Free T4. Then you will be able to confirm to the doctor that you need to add a source of T3 to your med, while reducing your T4 dosage. In addition you need to know if you have excess Reverse T3 or low/high cortisol.
Avatar n tn I am pregnant about 7 or 8weeks but in 1 week my hormones have dropped form 14695 to 13000 what can be wrong please
Avatar m tn About 13 months ago I had surgery to remove a pituitary tumor and I am now on full hormone replacement. For the most part my recovery has gone great. However, I believe I do have problems with either the dosage (.125mg) of my thyroid hormone or the drug itself (levoxyl). I have an endocrinologist that has been with me since the surgery and they refuse to change anything because my T4 level is in the "normal" range at 1.5.
Avatar m tn First thing is that the T3 Uptake and Free T4 Index tests are very outdated and not very useful when far better tests for Free T4 and Free T3 exist. I would not have much confidence in a doctor that still orders those tests. In addition the doctor blew off the possibility of endocrine problems affecting hair loss, which further lowers his reputation with me. What did the doctor have to say about all those other symptoms you have? What was his response to the nodules?
Avatar f tn I slept with a girl with a durex flavored condom , inspected the condom no leaks , received unprotected oral ... Cool ??
