Pls do not take Yasmin continuously without any hormone free periods on your own as you may experience breakthrough bleeding or spotting. I keep mine in the fridge until insertion. If after a few months of trying it you are still spotting then the hormone level of the nuva ring is not high enough for you and you will need to speak with your MD about switching birth controls.

Ive only ever tried the pill (and ended up pregnant on it) and nuva ring. I liked nuva ring but it was too expensive. Ive heard people say it falls out but im pretty sure it would still work fine if u just put it back in, but i never had that happen. Its less expensive than a baby so i think i might try it again after im done breast feeding ( cant use it while bf). I considered the iud and i like that it stops ur periods but im afraid it will migrate somewhere else in my body and cause problems.

I personally don't like the arm implant I use the Nuva ring and it's amazing my husband said it's a force field and you can take it out during sex and stuff

Though its not every week like when I was on yasmin, nuva ring still makes me get sick every month and a half-ish. Im real close to going back to the crossed fingers over the crossed legs method. Worked for 5 months before!

I kept the ring in until March 3rd because it fell out, I didn't bother to put it back in. Two days shy of 21 days, I should have taken it out March 5th. Hello, I am hoping that someone has had some experience with ovarian cysts and the use of birth control (nuva ring) to prevent ovulation. My doctor started me on the nuva ring in hopes that it would help with the pain from bilateral ovarian simple cysts that measure 5cm and 4.2 cm. Hi, I just started using nuva ring and a couple days after i got a yeast infection. Can nuva ring cause that or could it be that i was on augmenton for 3 days?

My patient who is 17 year old white female currently on nuva ring, and family history of hypothyroidism states has 80% of symptoms compatabile with hypothyroidism, but is having normal periods. her TSH was normal( 2.51) but has slightly elevated T4(12.9) and low T3 Uptake (21)with normal free T3 levels(2.7) her TPO is pending.

I'm 34 and six months post partum. I'm interested in going on the Nuva Ring but nervous about blood clots. It's never been an issue for me in the past when I've been on birth control, and I didn't get clots while pregnant. Ok, so today I went in for my annual PAP. I've been on the nuva ring for a few years. I have one child, and don't plan on having any more. I am only 30, so my doctor doesn't want to do anything completely permanent yet as far as birth control. So she mentioned this IUD that has no hormone. I did notice that my skin below my vagina did seem more frail and discolored than when I had last looked at it. I did some research and discovered that many women who use the nuva ring have a problem with vaginal dryness which, in some women, can lead to vaginal fissures during intercourse. Makes sense.
