Avatar n tn I am having the same symptoms. Heartburn, back pain, lightheaded and neausea, I also had lots of belching but I do that to try and stop the neausea. I took my blood pressure and it was 146/91 and BPM was 86, my normal is about 110/66 and BPM is about 65 to 70. I had Reflux surgery 15 years ago and have not had heartburn since, until last night. Symptoms have gone away since the middle of the night. History of my family.
Avatar m tn With laryngopharyngeal reflux, you may not have the classic symptoms of GERD, such as a burning sensation in your lower chest (heartburn). That's why it can be hard to diagnose and is sometimes called silent reflux.
Avatar n tn I burp constantly through the night, sometimes to the point of waking myself up. Occasionally I belch during the day, but I don't have any heartburn day or night. It's driving me crazy and destroying my sleep. It's the worst when I'm laying down.
Avatar f tn Recently I went on cholesterol meds and besides awful leg aches i starting belching and burping heartburn, Dr took me off meds been just 1 week, symptoms milder but not gone, How concerned should I Be?
Avatar n tn Symptoms relieved by belching or taking tums. Is this GERD or something more sinister? My doctor wants to do an abdominal ct scan. This discussion is related to Chronic Stomach Bloating.
Avatar m tn About four weeks ago, I started having mild heartburn symptoms at night, that were generally relieved by Zantac. About two weeks ago, I had a 24 hour type stomach virus that included vomiting and body aches, but no diarrhea. Following that episode, I had a consistent acid reflux problem that included upper chest and esophageal burning, as well as upper chest discomfort that would be relieved by changing position or belching.
Avatar m tn 1. Fullness in chest and swollen feeling in oesophagus 2. Shortness of breath, difficulty getting a full breath 3. Belching 4. Jagged sensation in left of thorax under left rib which extends up to throat 5. Can't yawn and sometimes can't belch 6. Sensation of something 'stuck' in oesophagus/top of stomach I have no heartburn, regurgitation or any obvious pain. Waiting on GI appointment but I've been told this may not happen for quite some time due to Coronavirus.
Avatar n tn About six months ago I started experiencing severe bouts of nausea throughout the day that would be present regardless of whether I ate or fasted. At times, the nausea was so bad I couldn't sleep or function properly causing me to miss work, etc. I deciced to see a GI specialist and he ordered upper endoscopy with biopsy. The results were negative for biopsy and he only saw a mild inflammation around esophagus.
Avatar n tn For the past several days I have had to urinate often, felt a strange airy/burning sensation in my chest, heartburn, belching, and frequent gas pains and bubbly feeling in my abdomen. Also, it seems at night that I wake up suddenly with a jerk and/or gasping for air. Today I developed a shooting pain in the front of my neck and a shooting pain in my right lower pelvic area. I have a history of asthma, axiety attacks, and GERD. Could it just be this or does it sound more serious?
Avatar m tn Hi there, Heartburn, nausea, regurgitation are few common symptoms of hiatal hernia. You should be taking medications for relief in symptoms of GERD.If the GERD is severe, complicated, or unresponsive to medications, surgery may be performed. It is suggested to consult a gastroenterologist for further opinion and management. Do keep me posted on how you are doing. Best luck and kind regards!
1847494 tn?1319066003 Do you still have a gallbladder? Have they looked at your gallbladder? See what happens when you do a low fat diet for a few days and see if the symptoms are any better and stay well hydrated with water. By all means don't ignore the symptoms. Gallbladder can cause back pain and belching. Goodluck.

243059 tn?1202377352 It cleared up however I have continually suffered from heartburn since. It has gotten worse over the last 3 weeks where the heartburn is everyday pretty much all day long. OTC meds are not helping and my doc rx'd pantaloc yesterday. I asked him about the possibility of the hpylori returning. He wants me to use the meds for a month then stop and see what happens. With the symptoms you have and the discomfort you are in I would push for more testing. Hope you get this figured out soon.
Avatar f tn However my whole life i have been suffering from heart burn. about six years ago i started having a belching problem, it seemed to just do away by itself, but then it came back about four years ago, and I've had it ever since. now i am terrified that i may be at risk of barrettes esophagus! My Dr *****, he is not concerned in the least bit. I am in the process of changing my Dr, and i hope to find a good one that will recommend me to a specialist.
Avatar m tn I go to the gym almost every day. I really don`t have a lot of gerd symptoms..just belching sometimes. I been taking medication for about 3 weeks. I also have mild colitis. It`s difficult to talk to my physician because I live in Japan and he doesn`t speak much English.
Avatar f tn U have abdominal pain left side and belching like mad little heartburn but it comes and goes. I was just wondering if anyone else has abdominal pain and was prescribed that ?? Also lower back pain like its tightening. Ohh and opinions please on when to take this omeprazole, people say go against night time and have it in the morning.
Avatar n tn I thought the pain was caused by the inflammation of the esophagus, but after 6 month with increasing heartburn problems I took PPI for one month and the heartburn problem was completely gone. What was left was the constant pain in the right upper quadrant. Ultrasound, gastroscopy, coloscopy, bloodwork and an MRI showed nothing abnormal, expect a folded gallbladder but with no sign of inflammation or something. Im quite sure that the gallladder is the location of the pain.
Avatar n tn My symptoms are strange feeling In My chest , I keep belching and having an acid taste in my mouth and constant feeling to be sick but when I do its just acid.
Avatar f tn This is not a question so much as info to be added to the ongoing discussion. I too have experienced hives followed by painful daily/nightly bouts of acid reflux and belching. I've lost 8 pounds in a week due to nausea. I was tested for H. pylori(negative), lipase and cbc both normal. As a precaustion my doctor gave me a 10 day round of meds for systemic yeast. I also had a cat scan and that was normal.
Avatar f tn I drink every other day (vodka) have been for the last 6 months. I've always had heartburn and am constantly eating tums or taking Prilosec. This past week I've been vomiting everyday after drinking and have been vomiting acid. Last night was the worst. I woke up st 4am violently vomiting acid my throat and nose still hurts today. I did vomit what looked like blood, it also burned very basket when it came up.. also went through my nose. I took zofran an anti nausea pill to calm it down.
Avatar f tn No, acid reflux is the upper digestive tract...its a weak stomach sphinter muscle that doesnt close properly causing heartburn, belching, indigestion etc. Diarrhea is caused by conditions of the lower digestive tract...IBS is an example...that can cause diarrhea as well as constipation and painful cramps.
Avatar f tn I have also tried ALIGN ********* which gave me some relief. I was afraid to eat. My symptoms included heartburn and bloating. I am a runner, I still remember a day when the food in my stomach would not move and I had so much bloating that I went running and ran for more than an hour in frustration in hope that I would get some relief. The second Gastroentrologist said that I might have IBS (Irritable bowel syndrome).
Avatar n tn Strange thing is i have no heartburn or chest pain. In mornings i have 1-2 cups of coffee. Hour later small carton of milk with pastry. 15 minutes later i'm burbing mouthfulls of clear black coffee. Where'd milk go? Go to an early matenee movie. Popcorn (too much) Go home eat light dinner. meat, veg, starch. hour later belching huge mouthfulls of popcorn this happens every morning and evening no what i eat it seems.
Avatar n tn I started having severe heartburn about 3 years ago. At first antacids helped, then I had to move to stronger acid reducers, and have been taking prilosec OTC every day for more than a year. The last several months I've been having severe heartburn even when taking the prilosec, and the heartburn often triggers vomiting. Lately, the vomiting has also been triggered by a feeling that I have a dry-spot or lump in my throat (water doesn't help).
