(I know a lot of patients in here have been dxed with gerd, but unless you actually have heartburn, you might want to be reevaluated especially if the meds don't work.
Is there anything that can help with this heartburn? I cant get rid of it.
Since the attack I quit smoking and have been taking these drugs, but have been unwell almost everyday, suffering heartburn or chest contractions or some other stomach or chest pains or depression. As the months pass by I began to suspect and now believe that these problems are side effects of the drugs. I visited many doctors and had various checks and echos and analysis and was told that I am ok and was advised not to take alternative medicines!
For nearly three years before I had my ablation, I used to get really bad heartburn at least 3-4 times a week.....so bad that it used to wake me out of a sound sleep and I'd be rummaging in the medicine cabinet for antacids around 2-3 am.
Since the ablation (nearly 3 weeks ago), I've noticed that I'm not getting heartburn anymore......only one heartburn episode the weekend after ablation....and that was because I ate a huge meal. Other than that, none.

which over-the-counter antacid/heartburn medicine worked best for you?? I get it pretty often, and im making chili for dinner so i know im really gunna need something to help with it tonight. :) I'm 28 weeks and never had any issues with acid reflex or heartburn till a few weeks ago and now some night its gets so bad that it keeps me up at night. I REALLY dont want to take any medicine during my pregnancy, but this is something i just cant solve myself. tried everything already.
If you're talking medicine then get zantac if you can't get medicine right now then milk always helps me!
Cyclosporine may cause muscle pain, joint pains, heartburn etc.These two drugs form the mainstay of treatment. These side effects may gradually ware off. A low-salt diet and diuretics may help with swelling in the hands and legs. Low-protein diets may be helpful. I use yogurt when heartburn bothers me, maybe a cup and a half. My doctor recommends Apple cider cover mixed with water.

The first time I had heartburn I took Prilosec. It works wonders! It's a 24 hour medicine. I highly recommend it and it's safe during pregnancy.
Zantac is a over the counter pregnancy safe medicine that I take for extreme heartburn and it works amazing. It's a tiny little pill that you swallow.
I drink milk. I always have heartburn and that's the only thing that seems to help me. Medicine never helps so ill drink a small glass of milk.
Every night before bed whether ive eaten recently or not it is so bad and uncomfortable! It actually hurts, how can i relieve or stop this from happening.
If that doesn't help maybe ask your doctor if there is an over the counter medicine that they would recommend. Unless of course you are doing absolutely no medicines. If you get heart burn frequently eat a banana first before you eat anything else. It's what I do.
Hi im 27 weeks pregnant and ive just started to get heartburn which is causing me alot of problems. Everytime i drink or eat its repeating on me. If i lie down on my back or right side i feel my food coming up and have to run to the bathroom to be sick. Is this normal? Do you know what medicine i can take while pregnant to stop me from getting heartburn.
