Since the attack I quit smoking and have been taking these drugs, but have been unwell almost everyday, suffering heartburn or chest contractions or some other stomach or chest pains or depression. As the months pass by I began to suspect and now believe that these problems are side effects of the drugs. I visited many doctors and had various checks and echos and analysis and was told that I am ok and was advised not to take alternative medicines!
Hi, I'm 36 wks, FTM, & prior to getting preggo had experienced heartburn once before, which was awful. Around 20 weeks I started getting heartburn & it was so bad it would wake me up at night, burning from my stomach to my eardrums all day.
which over-the-counter antacid/heartburnmedicine worked best for you?? I get it pretty often, and im making chili for dinner so i know im really gunna need something to help with it tonight. :) I'm 28 weeks and never had any issues with acid reflex or heartburn till a few weeks ago and now some night its gets so bad that it keeps me up at night. I REALLY dont want to take any medicine during my pregnancy, but this is something i just cant solve myself. tried everything already.
This is an over-the-counter drug used to treat frequent heartburn or hyperacidity. If you are self-treating with this medication, then you need to consult your Doctor. Prilosec can interact with a number of drugs and increase the blood concentrations of these drugs.
The answer is based on information provided. Exact advice is not possible without a proper examination and investigations. You are requested to consult your Doctor. Take care and keep us posted.
Every couple of months I would have a migraine that would last for a week or two and the only way it would go away would be when my parents took me to the ER were they would give me medicine and some fluids. The past couple months I have been getting a headache almost everyday. Sometimes it would be a migraine and sometimes it would just be a headache. I didn't think anything of it cause they would go away with a over the counter medicine or a nap.
Every night before bed whether ive eaten recently or not it is so bad and uncomfortable! It actually hurts, how can i relieve or stop this from happening.
If that doesn't help maybe ask your doctor if there is an over the counter medicine that they would recommend. Unless of course you are doing absolutely no medicines. If you get heart burn frequently eat a banana first before you eat anything else. It's what I do.
Hi im 27 weeks pregnant and ive just started to get heartburn which is causing me alot of problems. Everytime i drink or eat its repeating on me. If i lie down on my back or right side i feel my food coming up and have to run to the bathroom to be sick. Is this normal? Do you know what medicine i can take while pregnant to stop me from getting heartburn.
I was that way with my first ..I had to talk to my doctor and he gave me a nausea medicine and told me to take that with tums and if the tums didn't work he'd prescribe zantac or something ...if its that bad give them a call they may be able to call something in for you. You can also try the extra strength tums that's what I have to do with this baby ....
(I know a lot of patients in here have been dxed with gerd, but unless you actually have heartburn, you might want to be reevaluated especially if the meds don't work.
I have severe heartburn . So bad that im throwing up from how bad the heartburn is. I tried tums and threw up within secs of chewing it so that didnt work. Ive tried milk that didnt work either.
