Avatar f tn Locate your local Department of Human Resources and tell them you are pregnant and need health insurance now. Show them your pregnancy verification. They'll make you fill out an application, I filled out the application online and a few days later went in after it was processed. In the application state that you are unemployed. Bring your parent's paycheck stubs also, just in case. Quite honestly I was told to make myself look more poor than I am so they really push for approval.
Avatar f tn my 19 year old daughter has been purging for a little over 2 years (I think) and I live in MA she has MASS HEALTH insurance, I need some help on getting her help.

Avatar f tn Like someone else said , the ONLY way to know how your insurance works and what is covered is to call your insurance and ask about your specific policy. I worked for a major health insurance company for years and the biggest mistake you can make is not calling them in advance. I also recommend finding out what options you have for permanent coverage for your baby.
Avatar f tn Call your health plan provider. It's different with each state, I believe.
Avatar n tn Hi, I just found out I do not have health insurance. We thought it would be until the end of the month but it's already done. I wad still under my moms plan and she was laid off last month. 387294 tn?1207620185 My son and daughter may be looking for health insurance after they leave college and are no longer dependents. My daughter has been diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic heart valve. She has a healthy heart and it is working well. With this impact her chances to get health insurance on her own? Will it impact our ability to continue her insurance after the cobra period is over on our insurance?

Avatar m tn Hi, I was wondering if anybody could help me with a health insurance question? About a year ago Anthem Covered two separate visits to the doctors office that I had gone to. So initially they paid and I thought I was all set. Now, almost a year later, they retracted payment due to my coverage ending within days of the visits. I understand if I wasn't covered, but I am wondering how they can pay for it and then decide they were wrong and bill me a year later?

Avatar f tn Hi Frrecks, I'm sorry that I don't know anything about the insurance, since we still have private insurance. It has to be so difficult to set aside the financial worries and concentrate on feeling better. I do know a lot of the DMD companies have programs to assist anyone without insurance. As for my private insurance cost, my employer just finished the open enrollment for next year and here is what I will be paying for my health insurance - $238.00 a month for me and my spouse.
Avatar n tn What are the best health insurance sites/companies/agents? When you search health insurance you get ehealthinsurance.com, and healthinsurance.org, and http://www.HealthPlanOne.com as the top 3 but I want to know if you have found better ones than these ones.
Avatar n tn Alright, so I'm on my dad's health insurance through his work. It's upmc. Well, my boyfriend & I are getting our own place & my dad told me I can't change my address & stay on his health insurance. How true is this? Because I just looked it up & it said that a child under 26 can remain on a parents plan even if they don't live with them. I just want to know for sure because I can't afford it on my own. Especially not with the baby coming.
Avatar f tn If you're in the USA than I believe by law, health insurance must cover pregnancy appointments and delivery. It doesn't matter if your on your parents insurance or not. Now, how much they pay could be iffy so you're best bet is to call or ask your mom to call. One thing to think about, grandchildren cannot be extended on to the grandparents health insurance most of the time.
6927110 tn?1393318669 Hi everyone, Im 18 years old and currently 29 weeks pregnant. Im due in February but am going to be under different medical insurance as of January 12, 2014. Avatar f tn So Im only 6 weeks pregnant. I live in Michigan and I work in the healthcare field and unfortunately have no health insurance. I'm trying to get signed up with the state which I hate to do. I never had to depend on the state for anything. But since I have no insurance I can't go to the doctors. I have went and bought prenatal vitamins and have been taking them for almost the past 2 weeks. So my question is when should I see a doctor.
Avatar f tn I was interested in seeing how many of us have health insurance vs no health insurance.
Avatar n tn t fill refills early or dispense new narcotics even if the patient pays cash to avoid insurance restrictions. Paying cash to avoid insurance scrutiny is a classic symptom of doctor-shoppers which is why the Feds have put even more regulations on pharmacies in these situations. Yes, if the prescribing instructions for the same medication are changed (increased) they can fill it and insurance will usually cover it but sometimes it takes a call to the doctor for verification.
Avatar m tn The HCV Antibody Hep C Virus Ab came back 4.2 so my doctor ordered HCV Ab w/Rflx to Verification HCV Ab came back 4.4. So now they are referring me out to a GI. Additionally under the verification portion it says, "...HCV Antibody Verification non-reactive," and there is a typed comment saying "...disagreement between the two different antibody assays is consistent with no HCV infection, unless recent infection is suspected.or other evidence exists to indicate infections.
Avatar f tn Went to the health department with my fiance and we found out that I'm 5 weeks along! I'm due April 19th 2015! I can't even describe how excited I am!!
11294269 tn?1422402907 Something has got to give. Its just too much. The one job i cannot stand is the one that offers health insurance. I am planning to leave this job. As a single woman(i plan on getting married in the coming months), what are my options for health insurance? Im nervous and so unbelievably stressed. This whole "Affordable Healthcare Act" isn't very affordable. I went to the healthcare.gov website and for about $400/month I have to pay a $3000 deductible and get 50% coverage.
