Flomax long term use

Common Questions and Answers about Flomax long term use

flomax

Avatar m tn maybe Flomax only helps if you have a UTI though to better flush infected urine out? it seems though that the semen will empty into the bladder then and be flushed out of your system instead of going to the urethra so I don't know if that is good or not? I've read of long term loss of STRENGTH on Flomax and possible sexual dysfunction.
Avatar m tn sgruxx I have had yeast infections that I got after long term use of antibiotics. My wife has also come down with this as well. When either one of us gets yeast, both of us are treated at the same time to ensure that we don't pass it to each other. As much as I feel that you should be honoust to your wife, telling her about a previous sexual partners might cause unresolvable problems. You know your wife best and would be able to act based on that.
Avatar m tn The Flomax was not working very well, initially and my MD switched me to Jalyn, mostly because of the CombaT Study which looked at combination regimens for BPH. The Jalyn (Flomax & Avodart) does a GREAT job and I am pretty much symptom free. My thought was that switching to Avodart alone would leave me with one less drug going into my system, keep my good results, and, hopefully reduce the IFIS risk.
Avatar m tn i am having tachycardia, chestpain after using flomax - only second pill how long can take the side effects considering that i stopped taking flowmax 36 hours
Avatar n tn I can't use Flomax or other alpha blockers due to side effects -- disturbed sleep. Uroxatral even caused me to sleepwalk 15 feet from a nap on the sofa one evening, waking when I fell flat on my face in the next room! Separately, due to a Vitamin D deficiency my doc found, he put me on 50,000 units Vitamin D per week for 8 weeks, followed by biweekly doses. And guess what...the Vitamin D almost instantly "cured" the BPH.
Avatar f tn They certainly hear all the negative media coverage damning the prescription and use of long term opiates. If we influence or change one person's negative attitude towards chronic pain and its management than we are fighting the war against us! Yes the War against Us, Against Chronic Pain Patients. You should not be shamed or harassed into this position, "stop the mess and live in constant pain." Taking your husband to your next appt along with educating him may be beneficial.
Avatar m tn The only reason that I ask is that I've heard on of the long-term side effects on dxm use is being a bit lathargic. I'm that way now and the VA did an MRI of my brain and found that my adrenal glad had begun to shrink so, it wasn't producing enough of the thyroid hormone.....I can already tell I'm got some defects from the long term use in my cognitive abilities. I'm down to 18 pills day. 1 pill every two days. The morning w/draws have pretty much stopped.
Avatar n tn Is there any info about long term plavix use. I have been taking Plavix along with Lisinopril and Toprol for the past two years after quad bypass but I don't feel very good about it anymore. Any info as in is this medicine weakening my internal organs.
Avatar f tn I have recently been feeling full of regret, very emotional and tearful, I have been informed this amy be due to the long term use of Naltrexone, and lack of natural endorphins , so i have been advised by my CDT Nurse to start thinking about coming off of them, is this right? Other wise, my life is so good compared to what it was, I am happy, but just feel like the past keeps wanting me to remember how bad things were... could my 'miracle' now be becoming my tormenter?
Avatar m tn Dear whoever may know, I was diagnosed with anxiety and panic disorder 2 1/2 years ago, and I have been taking Lexapro at 10 mg per day ever since. The medicine has really seemed to have helped my life in all aspects. Whether it has really helped or if this is some kind of placebo effect, I am unsure. I still have moments of reasonable stress at work, but who doesn't...most importantly, I don't have panic attacks anymore.
Avatar f tn Ok everyone, i need some advice and maybe personal experiences. Back in july i posted about having several stones in my left kidney one of which was 8 mm and also one in that ureter and one in the right kidney. Well after over a month of flomax and massive amounts of water i had another x-ray which showed 9 stones in my left kidney the largest measuring 4 mm. Nothing in the ureters so i passed the 3 mm in the left and the one in the right it just took FOREVER lol.
