Common Questions and Answers about Flexeril patch

flexeril

Avatar f tn I use three per 12 hour period along with oxycodone, tramadol, neurontin and flexeril for pain. All the talk about Fentanyl has me concerned. BTW I am so thankful for this forum, whether or not one posts one can gain so much valuable information without fear of judgement. Kudos to sandee for keeping it going and thanx to everyone for straight up honesty in your replies to questions.
Avatar n tn What was your total dosage of Oxycodone/Tylenol (Percocet) per day-? I know you said 10/325 but how many doses per day? It may be that the conversion to fentanyl was too high a dose... given your description of symptoms, they aren’t typical withdrawal, but sound more like the fentanyl dose was too high.
5597890 tn?1370629516 I have been on opiates since 2003 for Sciatic nerve impingement (Piriformis Syndrom) and RSD/CRPS. I will be ripping off my last 50mcg patch 6-10-2013 . I have 200 Hydrocodone 7.5-500 T's I am hoping to taper off by using the Hydrocodones. I am very afraid. Because I've had 2 very severe heart attacks back to back. C.O.P.D . Peripheral Neuropathy. Also, would Neurontin help withdrawal?
232328 tn?1207090071 Hi there. I was prescribed flexeril today for some back pain. Can anyone tell me exactly what it is? If it is addicting? Will it make me sleepy/hyper, etc?
Avatar m tn Does anyone know very much about Flexeril? I just received an call from someone that thinks they may have overdosed on it. He usually does not take it and took up to ten 10mg tablets today and feels somewhat out of it. 100mg in one shot shouldn't do too much should it? He is in No. CA and I'm in So. CA so I can't get to him. Should I be concerned about him not waking up? Apparently he took six of them yesterday and I read the half life is 1-3 days.
1415174 tn?1453243103 Hi again has anyone tried Flexeril (muscle relaxant)? Any bad side effects and did it help pain , I have I guess myofascial pain. Any trouble with withdrawal gettnig off of it?
Avatar f tn Thank you for your quick response. But I'm sorry that I did not state it correctly but there is no herniated disc, negligible arthritis & very, very negligible narrowing of spine. Most of the doctors don't even mention the narrowing but I did because one doctor said that & I wanted to give a complete picture. I was on a muscle relaxant but not diazepam.
610983 tn?1351309926 after replacing the Patch, I felt just fine. I had mentioned this to my Doc so he prescribed the patch to be changed every two days. I no longer have these issues. I hope all the information you have recieved has been helpful, there has been some really great advise from all the members.
Avatar f tn I have been on duragesic pain patches 25 mcg for almost two years. I switched back to my regular doctor since they were gone for over 18 months. I have been taking Norco 10s 8 per day, and ativan and lithium and flexeril and trazodone. My new doctor doesn't think I should be on the patch since I am only 39. However, I was in a tragic automobile accident three years ago and almost died. I suffered fractures of T3 4 5, Fratuctres C 7, could have been paralyzed, but lucky.
363110 tn?1340920419 I'm on this board and also the pain mgmt board since I deal with chronic back pain. after taking my norco for 1 week I chose to dump the rest out this was last monday. We're at almost a week without now and I hurt like hell (prior back injury w/nerve damage) and I'm not sleeping well or eating well. after 1 day the stomach problems stopped and it took the first 3 days for my pain to level out, my pain has leveled out at about a 4 most times but can spike to an 8 or 9 with activity.
Avatar f tn Alcohol and flexeril are both central nervous system suppressants and consuming alcohol while taking flexeril compounds the drowsiness, confused thinking, respiratory suppression of the muscle relaxant. Flexeril/alcohol combos are frequent causes of accidental overdose. I would avoid the alcohol while taking the flexeril completely. If you already were consuming alcohol, I would skip the flexeril for at least 12 hours or more, depending upon how much alcohol you consumed.
Avatar f tn Also he dint ask me about my back pain and prescribed me FLEXERIL. And he walked away. Never got to talk to him about my wrist pain. I am still disappointed. I don't want to take all these medicines as he didn't even listen to my problems. I checked online about preeclampsia and he side since I am 29 yo I can't have it. Please help if I should take my medicines or is there anyone having the same problem as I do.
Avatar f tn I have been on Percocet 10/325 for close to 7 years. I am also on Nucynta 100mg, Butrans Patch 10mcg, Flexeril 10mg, Lexapro 10mg and Naproxen 500mg. I recently saw a New Dr. a rheumatologist he put me on Cymbalta 30mg for 10 days then 60mg after that. When I had the Rx filled my Pharmacist said I could not take the Flexeril and Lexapro with the Cymbalta as it can cause some kind of syndrome that can be fatal. So I stopped both.
Avatar m tn Is there a muscle relaxant patch (I'm thinking like a flexeril patch, etc.) If not, is there a muscle relaxant cream.
Avatar f tn m in my pastors wife suggested a pain patch what is better the morphine patch or pill. please responde quickly as I'm feel i can't possibly take this anymore. This discussion is related to chronic left hip and leg also lower back pain.
Avatar f tn Flexeril is not addictive if you use it only when needed I took it for years for a bad back but you dont get hi on it so for the most part if taken as directed your ok just stay away from soma that is a different story...................................Gnarly.....................................
Avatar f tn I have taken flexeril, could not take more than a 1/4 or I would feel very odd. Maybe that was a good thing. You can get a pill cutter and start cutting your dose. We aren't allowed to talk about how to dose hopefully you can get the jist of this. While trying to wean down I would up your vitamins. There is something called a Thomas Recipe but that is for narcotics,so not sure if it would work for you. Your muscles may need more magnesium than normal.
221387 tn?1210933058 I have a question, I took a drug screen but I took flexeril, will flexeril make you fail a drug screen. Anyone that can help me I will be ever so greatful!!!
Avatar m tn I am new to this site, saw your post, and feel compelled to tell you about my experience with Flexeril. Several years ago I was having serious neck spasms, so my doctor prescribed Flexeril. I don't remember the milligram, it was standard, and I was to take 3 a day. The first day I took three, I found myself looking at my bottle of pain medication thinking about taking the whole bottle at once! I immediately threw the Flexeril in the trash.
Avatar f tn Flexeril is a muscle relaxant. Sweetie, I would ask your doctor about something like that before taking anything. You never know if you will have a reaction to a medication and if it was not prescribed to you and you received it from someone else that person could potentially be in trouble with the law. I do not believe Flexeril is addictive. But, please call your doctor instead. That's just my two cents! WTG for being clean from vicodin for 3 weeks!!! AWESOME!!!
Avatar n tn that doctor perscribed me with flexeril( muscle relaxor ) and a script for physical therapy.. the therapy wasnt an option after about 3 weeks of going twice a week. I would get relief from the (PT) rubbing on my back and a T.E.N.S unit but the relief would only last about an hour... 30 bucks for an hour of relief yea right buddy.
Avatar m tn Two months ago i took flexeril (muscle relaxer) for tmj like symptoms. Right after that i noticed hypo symptoms and when i went to the doc intested at tsh 17. Was i wrong to think that the pill triggered my thyroid? I have hashimotos By the way. I am asking because i am hanving jaw tension and pain now and want to take the flexeril but i am afraid it might trigger my hyop tyroidism.
Avatar f tn I was on Vicoden for over three years, and now am getting good results with a 25 mcg Duragesic patch (change every three days) and Lyrica, 150 mcg twice daily. This is the most pain free I have been in recent memory. I hope that your regimen helps. This is a wonderful forum, and I am sure that there are many others who are going to share their thoughts. All my best to you, and I hope this works for you.
