Flexeril overdose how much

Common Questions and Answers about Flexeril overdose how much

flexeril

Does anyone know very much about Flexeril? I just received an call from someone that thinks they may have overdosed on it. He usually does not take it and took up to ten 10mg tablets today and feels somewhat out of it. 100mg in one shot shouldn't do too much should it? He is in No. CA and I'm in So. CA so I can't get to him. Should I be concerned about him not waking up? Apparently he took six of them yesterday and I read the half life is 1-3 days. Apparently he's having muscle spasms.
I am 28 years old and have been taking these for almost a year. I am also taking 20mg Paxil. How much should I taper weekly or should I say how much can I safely taper. I have read about seizures with this drug. Thankyou.
i have tried taking sleeping tablets but to no avail but sheer will power and determination will pull me thru i have done this mostly alone and sympathy for my own affliction is not wat im looking for i just want others to know it can be done and it does take time just stick with it ,all the pain is normal due to ur body forcing it out and try not to think too much much coz the last thing u need is regrets and for watever reason u have been on methadone for really does not matter now wats done
I am a legit pain patient as well, but unfortunately we still get addicted and can end up taking much, much more of our meds than intended. Please, let us know how you are doing!

Like most of the others here, the meds don't do much for my pain. I've found that how I feel on any given day depends on the quality of sleep I got the night before. I sleep on an air bed (Wal-Mart, $10.00) on my floor. I keep a chair close to help me get up in the morning. You have no idea how much difference that little change made! Any inner-spring mattress feels like I'm sleeping on a sack full of doorknobs. I also take .5 mg Clonazepam at bedtime.
Lyrica is the one medication that I know of that is made to help with the pain of Fibromyalgia. I am on Lyrica myself for Fibro and it has helped me but I must say that although it doesn't completely take the pain away, it does take away a lot of the pain. It allows me to function like a "normal" person although I really do have to watch what and how much I do. I cannot do things that I used to do, unfortunately but at least I can function. :) For this, I am thankful.
With Flexeril, yes it works but depends on what you taking along with it. For example don't take it with a benzo like xanax. Baclofen is very good. I even read that in higher doses it can be used for addictions like alcohol and maybe heroin. It was in the Wikipedia site for it. Was very i teresting read.

Increasing dosage, which many patients do without consulting their physicians, can increase dependency risk and can even lead to overdose or death. At the Waismann Method Treatment center we take our patients to Domus Retreat after detoxifcation for a better evaluation on their pain level. We begin treatment with non narcotics and provide yoga, acupunture, massage and other forms on therapies that can help with prescription abstinance and pain control.
The Flexeril did not do much either. After 4 days of the Morphine/Flexeril routine which was NOT working I called my "pain management Dr." and he changed my med routine to Extra Strength Lortab (10 mg/500APAP) which has been very effective in the past. For approximately the next 7 days I ommitted the Morphine and took 4 extra strength Lortab per day (10 mg. Lortab/500 APAP) which would equal approx. 2 mg of Tylenol.
They are well educated in how each medication acts and how they interact with other medications. Actually they are usually even more educated and knowledgeable in this arena then most physicians. I have had similar discussions with my Pharmacist and have never been disappointed. Obviously I try to wait until they are less busy so they can give me their time and attention, with less distractions. I avoid Mondays and Fridays and the hours of 3-6PM. I hope this helps.

You should turn to your family for help specifically because you lost a sibling to drugs. Do you realize how much pain a parent goes through in losing a child? If something happens to you and your parents knew you did not turn to them for help when you needed it, don't you think it would hurt them even more? There is really no easy way of detoxing from home.
it still hurts and NONE of the meds i am taking are even getting near the pain....the flexeril i was taking has since stopped working...today the neck shoulder and arm still bother me but i can now move slightly, heat doesnt help too much and neither does ice, also i laid flat and my head just pounded away terribly... now i am wondering WHY i have this pain?
don't waste your money. Gaba can't cross the blood brain barrier. So it ain't gonna to work. A few meds like Neurontin and Gabitril mimic the effect of gaba and are therefore sometimes effective choices for anxiety. But I don't think either of them would be used simply for sleep. **a disclaimer: I am not encouraging anyone to take these medications. They are merely options that exist and I have tried to focus on meds without the potential for addiction.
I did 3 epidurals on my neck but no real help. 800 mgs of ibuprofen takes the edge barely off but not much. Teamed the Ultram up with Tylenol and I didn't notice a huge difference either. I have tried Celebrex (nothing), Flexeril (knocks me out), Soma (works ok, but off and on), Zanaflex (horrible reaction, seeing black, similar to low blood pressure). Methocarbamol (sp?) worked out, not so much help with the muscle, but did help a little with sleep. My Ultram ranges from 2 to 6 tabs a day.
You want to know how much training regular MD's have regarding the treatment of mental health dissorders? Less than my 8 year old daughter. Get in to see a Psychiatrist. As to your question about the amount of pills your taking...... No way my friend you are way over medicated. People who are terminal don't even need 15 different meds.
He didn't really understand the problems I was having with spasticity - I'm not sure if he understands the difference between motor spasticity and sensory spasticity! (I didn't either until you explained it to me.) How much baclofen are you taking?
You also will never need an understanding ear as much. You can do it. You can quit. You do not need to be a slave to Tramadol.
5 yrs now i am sick of this addiction i am in so much debt and i have small kids i have a husband who knows about it and he has told me that he would be here for me when i want to stop well i am past ready i have went 2 days before without anything and it was complete hell i think what got to me the most was shakes, cold sweats, body aches it was awful my question is how do i deal with this i have looked at the thomas reipie and im gonna try that i know it want be easy but i just dont want to live
i am sorry to hear this...i dont have much i can say except...hang in there....there are ppl here with much better advice.....just love her....no matter what....
The doctor she went to see gave her muscle relaxers (Flexeril) that she has to take once at bedtime and can take 3 times a day, and another kind of medicine (Lortab) that she has to take once every 6 hours as needed for pain. Even though she has been taking those there has been no relief. She was also wondering if it was a pinched muscle or disk in her shoulder blade. Should we suggest getting an MRI or waiting to take more of the medicine to see if it kicks in?
Nucynta (tapentadol) belongs to a group of drugs called narcotic pain relievers. It is similar to morphine. Hope this helps! I kept telling myself...YOU HAVE the FLU! It will be over and I will feel so much better. My brain seemed to get that and settled down a little. It is hard, but doable! The Thomas Recipe (bottom of the page under Health Pages will help. I did not to the tranquilizers and had to cut back on the Ltryosine, but the rest really helped.
) I am already day dreaming of how much more I could do given the better pain control I am about to have...I'm excited. So no worries, I'm alive and in pain...LOL! But alive! And that feels really good today. I don't know if you all have converted opioid medications before but it is a good skill to have. I never thought I would catch a mistake but I did. I even checked my answer using the opioid conversion calculator on the Opana website and we matched.
I can tell you are in wd get into a hot bath tub or shower and that will help with the rls and the need to move your body it wont last a long time but it will give you some relief.. When you come back it will help to know how much you were taking a day and for how long, this will help them to give you advice. I will stay on if you would like to talk and wait if you choose to take a bath now.
HE SAID THAT ONLY A VERY SMALL NUMBER OF SEVERE FIBROS HAVE HANDS THAT CLAW UP FOR 3-4 DAYS STRAIGHT AND I AM ONE OF THEM. If not progressive why has it gotten worse for twenty years? Flexeril, Neurontin, Lyrica and even hydrocodon do not relive pain very much. He even had me take Neurontin and Flexeril together at night and pain bad enough I couldn't sleep well.
I am presently on 150mcg of Fentanyl every 2 days. I don't know how much you are taking and how often, but your Doctor should without question be gaging your pain level as he must need to increase your dose and application periods. I have taken about all the pain meds out there, and I can say that without question, Fentanyl has worked the best. However, it is imperative that the dose and sequence of applying them found.
Congrats on the 10 days, that is awesome so be proud. What were you on, how much? I can tell you from my own personal experience. The RLS was the worst symptom for me, it lasted up to 3 weeks past the day I stopped completely. I did a short term sub treatment this past time which I am almost one year clean from. But I also quit before and lasted about 3 months, that time I did Buprenorphine for 3 days then quit, which was stupid, I pretty much just delayed the inevitable.
I absolutley loved the buzz I got from the 10s and how much energy they gave me. I was invincible......I could do anything. I could not stop and therefore ran up so much credit card debt because I could not pay off my balance every month. I will never be able to pay off my credit card. Those websites need to be shut down.
