Flexeril and lunesta

Common Questions and Answers about Flexeril and lunesta

flexeril

Three months ago I had a cervical spine fusion, and was taking Ultracet and Flexeril before surgery and now only occasionally need Flexeril. Which of these medicines could contribute to the abnormal LFT? I drink a glass of wine each night, and maybe 3-4 glasses on a weekend night. Could the wine cause the liver abnormalities? My doctor wants me to quit taking the pravachol and retest in two months. Should I be concerned? Should I be panicked?
Drink as much water and good fluids as you possibly can to fight the dehydration and cramps. Didn't have much luck with sleep until about day 11 when my Dr. gave Lunesta. Did not like taking but it did break the sleepless cycle. Think small steps because the nights will be extremely long. Fight like you have never fought b4. You are up against strong demons, but they can be beat. You have the power to defeat them.
This is all made worse because my sleep is terrible and has been for years and years, going back to the beginning of my symptoms. I hate taking Ambien or Lunesta but I have to, and even then I get only a few hours' sleep. A few weeks ago I had an overnight sleep study because of lack of overall sleep, especially restful sleep. I don't know how anyone can sleep hooked to all that junk, and it was almost impossible for me. My report says I slept exactly 165 minutes! That's hardly any.
I have been prescribed Oxycontin 20mg (3x a day), Flexeril 10mg (3x a day), and Lunesta (to help me sleep). The Lunesta was just added a couple months ago, but I have been taking the Oxycontin and Flexeril for almost a year now. I had no problems other than some memory loss up until a month or so ago. Now, I find myself very depressed. I cry all the time and since my doctor added the Lunesta, I have horrible nightmares every night.
So I dug up some more info that I wanna share ... in case you are dying of curiousity. Or need more info like I do. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http***mb.rxlist.com/rxboard/ultram.pl?noframes;read=3179 not just for breakfast anymore Posted By: mkny Date: Friday, 21 October 2005, at 3:53 a.m.
Insurance won't let me have Lunesta ( it worked) anymore until I've tried other alternatives. I tried Ambien ( bad side affects) and Flexeril (does't work). Insurance mentioned Sonata but the side affects and patient reviews make it sound just as bad as Ambien. I have severe osteo-arthritis and fibromyalgia. I take vicodin, celebrex and placquinil. I know with the pain med there is a worry of over medication with impaired breathing.

$$$ tip: if you do take Lunesta and are in the US and on private insurance, there is a copay program for this drug. They will pay up to $50 of your monthly copay. There was an issue of the NMSS magazine that devoted its cover story to sleep and MS - you can read it at: http://www.nationalmssociety.org/multimedia-library/momentum-magazine/back-issues/momentum-winter-2009/index.
Yesterday I took 4 10mg pills in the morning, and then in the evening I took 4 10mg pills plus 2 klonopins .5mg. At nighttime I took flexeril 5mg for muscle aches, and a lunesta to sleep, but really didn't sleep much (Maybe 3 hours total) I know as soon as I get $ or a Rx, I'm going to get high again. I want to stop, but I can't control myself. It's ruining my life. (I'm actually crying while I'm typing this) I know I need to stop for myself and my son.
Is any one on Skelaxin?......that is what they replaced my Vicodine and oxycontin with?.......this stuff really gonna help?.......all it says it's a muscle relaxer,,,,,once again, is this addictive...or is a pill they give you to get off this other stuff?.........
I actually have some flexeril and on about day 5 i took 1 and it seemed as though my heart was going to jump out of my chest...so i did not take anymore, perhaps it woud be ok if i tried it again....i also had some Lunesta which i tried but with no good results.
She was hospitlized last week for 4 full days and has now been off the drug for over a week and a half. They have her on Suboxone, Flexeril (for her fibromylagia) , Cymbalta, Topamax & Lunesta (for sleeping). My question is she seems to be more doped up now than when she was on the Hydro. Also she has trouble urinating and her stomach has become very blooated and uncomfortable. She has put on 15 -20 lbs while barely eating.
I started taking Trazadone for sleep and it is giving me headaches. I cut it from 150 mg to 75 mg and that helped some. Will the headaches eventually go away?
I have a pinch nerve on my left shoulder (going to get it Xray to see what it really is), which only gets aggravated when I'm stress or overwork it in the gym. My Dr has tried Flexeril, Skelaxin, 500 mg of naproxen and it hasn't work. Now she prescribe tramadol. I have read bad things about it and its side effects. Everything is dated from a few years ago, so I would like update from anyone that is taking it. I was prescribed 50mg/4 times a day as needed.
Hi... The Lunesta is like a longer-lasting Ambien. It worked for me, and I did not find it addictive. It's not a benzo/benzo ... it doesn't have that valium-klonopin-whatever effect. It's a "sleep hypnotic" - not a big deal. As for the Vic vs. Percocet.. honey, I don't know. Maybe one of the ol-timers could chime in here... whether it's better to take you DOC or something different. My guess is.. it doesn't really matter.
Ambien(Zolpidem) Lunesta(Eszopiclone) Sonata(Zaleplon) Imovane(Zopiclone) Also to be avoided are muscle relaxants like Soma and flexeril. they are not only addictive, but they will make you behave like a monkey and then not remember it later. If you're actively abusing opiates AND taking Benzos/hypnotics/muscle relaxants, then you are basically getting down on your hands and knees and begging for an overdose.
I have some ultram, flexeril and xanax and lunesta to help me sleep. I am going to push my body for as long as I can without a pill and then take a quarter of a perc if I have to and go onlike that for a couple of days. I know the ultram isn't the best thing but it does help and I don't plan on taking it for more than 3-5 days. Ok people, have a great day and please pray for me......
If I get in bed between 11pm=12am and take my lunesta, seroquel, buspar, and flexeril, I usually sleep about 10-12 hours. During the day I am so fatigued and hurting that the provigil really helps. Provigil is a central nervous system stimulant, a little different than adderal, etc. It wakes you up when you need it during the day without giving you the feeling of euphoria and shakiness. It really helps with alertness.
I take Zolpidem for sleep every night. I don't take Lyrica but take Gaba, flexeril and Clonazepam. The Zolpidem puts me out very well, but I still wake up with pain throughout the night like you mention. I take the 10 mg with 1mg of Clonazapam. Can you ask him for a anti-anxiety medication to take with the sleeper? Maybe ativan which has a shorter half life (I think---I'm not a doctor)?
I've been taking melatonin every night since I quit. Was taking flexeril and promethazine to try to help with sleep but it makes the rls exponentially worse. My sister is going to give me a couple of ambiens tonight. I've suffered from rls all my life so I guess I've been experiencing some major rebound. One of the more pleasant side effects from the opiates was that it controlled my rls like a dream. I'm not going to use again I'm just so tired I'm starting to become confused.
I have taken a sleeping pill, a flexeril (musc relax) and 2 xanax and I am still wide awake. Pissed b/c I only have one xanax for tomorrow and I feel like I will need it most then. I am scared. I am drinking a beer in hopes that that will push me over the edge to sleep. Alcohol has never been my problem. Right now, I am desperate and although I disagree with using any potentially addictive substances, I know better than to fall into any more traps.
I have 4 y/o prescriptions for Elivil, Ultram, Darvocet, Neurontin, and Flexeril from a neck surgery I had in 2004 -- I've tried it all but the Neurontin and Flexeril. Maybe I'll try the Flexeril tonight. My body just doesn't seem to process meds well -- most seem to make me feel even more exhausted. My PCP discussed treating the symptoms but opted to try to figure out what the problem is first.
People who live the longest sleep 7 hours per night, not eight, so don’t worry about getting 8 hours of sleep. Most people need between 6 and 8 hours of sleep to function effectively during the day. 2.Get out of bed within a half hour of the same time every day, including weekends, no matter how little or poorly you have slept. 3.Reduce your time in bed so that it more closely matches the amount of sleep you average each night. 4.Use the bedroom for sleep and sexual activity only. 5.
darvocets, klonopin in between my doses for anxiety, and ibuprphine and icy hot for my back pain. Nighttime I use flexeril and lunesta for sleep and aches. I haven't been to rehab or told my Dr b/c I'm a single mom (I have sole custody)and will most likely have to have back surgery in the future. I've tryed to quit over 20 times. But I'll keep trying untill I get it right!
Good Morning Tramadol Warriors! Gorgeous sunny day. And people who understand. Welcome. We're so glad you found us!
neurontin also helps sleep if u r not accustomed to it..the sleepy side effect goes away in a few months,,,,lunesta and ambien are also safer choices than benzos but can be abused....muscle relaxers are not habit forming either excluding soma///zanaflex is good one for sleep as is flexeril but drogginess can occur so take it early in the eve if u have to get up early also/cold temperatures in ur house can help as it slows the metabolism..
I'm new to this particular group, not diagnosed with anything but had a few questions... #1) can any medications cause a person to hear voices? and I'm speaking of voices of any kind, whispers, talking, etc. nothing violent. Due to a back injury over the last year and a half (not in the last 8mo tho), and under doctors supervision I had taken Soma, norco, (recently) Neurontin, baclofen, atarax (for sleep) and low dose ambien (for sleep) as well as unisom on occasion.
I forgot to add that my doctor had given me Lunesta sleeping pills and I've never had to use them yet. The tea really works!!!!!
