The tip of my index finger hurts with a burning electric pain whenever I put any pressure on it. It started a few hours after I got back from the grocery store. I was reaching for an item on the top shelf and bent my wrist down at 90 degrees. I then bumped my wrist on the edge of the shelf or something and felt a brief pain in the wrist. I didn't think anything of it. My fingers were fine for hours because I washed my hands and pressed on them fine.

It also hurts between the knuckle and the beginniing part of my finger when pressure is applied. Also it hurts on my knuckle when pressure is applied. Should I get it looked again right away? Both my middle knuckle and the knuckle on my pointer finger still looks enlarged. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I want to know the exact mechanism behind why pressing on the eye with a finger causes the eye to hurt for few days afterwards along with photophobia. I have seen other posts here as well as to how one hairdresser applied pressure on the customer eye accidentally while sorting the eyebrow out and it caused him pain for many days.

When I hold something even with light pressure, like a kitchen water sprayer available in the sink or hand held mixer, my fingers remain in the position in which I hold them. It takes a few minutes to get them back straight without hurting. Is this arthritis? Or what is it?

Recently my index finger on my right hand is sensitive to pressure in the digital pulp area. The pain or sensitivity is toward the medial side on the distal phalanx. I am not sure what caused it. Swelling went down after several days, then it came back with a vengence with severe swelling and lots of pain but this time only in the fingertip. Today it caused me pain all day and its difficult for me to even type with it. Its stiff and kind of wants to naturally bend, but there is no clicking or popping. Is my trigger finger coming back or could this just be some type of arthritis? Has this happend to anyone else who has had trigger finger?
