I have the exact same problem happening on my middle finger on my right hand. It has nothing to do with rings since I don't wear jewelry on my right hand period. It starts out super dry at first, then it gets red, itchy, irritated (with the tiny little blisters that seem to have water or clear liquid when popped or scratched), and finally begin to dry out and "heal" for a day or two. I have been under an intense amount of stress the past six months (which is when they began).
If I knock on a door (normally, not hard) it feels like I just punched a cement wall. Both my ring finger knuckles have swelled to where I can not get my rings over them. It started aboutub 6 months ago and just progressively gets worse, I just noticed it happeneing in my right hand about 2 weeks ago.
Any ideas what this could be?
IT IS ADD ON ...ALSO I NOTICED BURNING OTHER PARTS OF MY BODY. I have raynauds in both hands & feet, roscea in face & currently getting slowly JOINT PAIN IN SOME FINGER S AND 1 ELBOW NO REDNESS BUT SWELLING AT THE JOINT.
Pre pregnancy, my ring finger was a size 5.5. So when my fiancé got me an engagement ring, it was a 5.5. Now he is looking to get me a wedding band but I have no clue what size he'd order it in because my ring finger size is now a 7!! I'm due in about 7 weeks, what should I do?!
I would take them off, clean them good, put triple antibiotic on my finger until it seemed to heal, then put the rings back on and the same thing would happen (a reddish rash under where the rings touched my skin). I have a ring on my right hand that this did not happen with, and I noticed that the rash was confined to the area where the diamonds were (so bacteria could have accumulated there due to moisture and caused a form of athletes foot).
Anyone else with FM have swelling in their hands in the morning along with severe joint pain?
I was diagnosed with FM in 2006. Just recently I've started having a lot of swelling in my hands along with severe pain in the joints of my fingers and wrists as well as my hips, knees, etc. In the summer my hands would swell but go down but I can't even wear my engagement rings now and the only time that has happened is when I've been been pregnant.

I have rosocea,raynauds both feet & hands. no redness at joints a little swelling.
It is normal, but if you're only experiencing it in one finger then you should probably talk to your doctor about it bc typically it would be your whole hand or at least all of your fingers. But with any kind of swelling you should always let your doctor know about it nd they like to keep track of your symptoms and make sure it isn't excessive. That's why pregnant women shouldn't wear rings bc I've heard of a lot women that have hard to get rings cut off due to the swelling.
I have developed what I'm pretty sure is arthritis in the last six months, but it's moving so fast I feel I can watch my bones melding together and losing mobility every single day. I keep getting a burning pain in my right index finger joint at my hand. I'm usually on the Hepatitis C board, meaning I see doctors a lot and really don't want to go in for just this, but I'm worried. Is there a way to slow arthritis down or undo the damage?
For the last 6-8 months I have been unable to wear my wedding rings for more than 3-4 days before red itchy bumps appear (usually along the hair follicles on below my middle knuckle.) I take the rings off and within a day or 2 the rash is gone and in it's place is dry peeling skin which usually heals within a week or so. Again, this has been happening for over 6 months! I am wondering if this is a fungus and if so, how do I treat it?
It will definitely cut off circulation if it gets too tight. Unfortunately I would suggest removing it until your fingers slim down, that way you wont have to have it emergency removed which damages the ring because it then has to be cut off.

are wedding rings supposed to match/correspond with one another? my mother is buying our rings and my fiancé wants a black, titanium band but I don't want anything like that.
ve been having minor pain in the smallest joint on my fourth finger on my right hand. Because I work seven days a week during the school year, I never saw the doctor. But it started getting worse. It hurts, if my fist is closed, to bump the knuckle from above. It also hurts to stretch my fingers out (laying flat is okay, but if I try to stretch them at all, it hurts).

m a house painter and recently brought my hand down onto the sharp point of one of my painting tools. It cut into the side if my rt hand middle finger, middle joint (between the knuckle and the lower joint) It bled a bit and swelled up of course. That was over two weeks ago. I still have noticable swelling in that joint, especially on the rt side, and considerable pain. The rest of my hand hurts lately, probably from compensating for the lack of use of the middle finger. Any ideas?
I'm 28 and I have joint pain in my finger joints and I feel it in my wrists sometimes too. And in the digits of my feet (I think).
I have no RF in my blood and the doctor said just take Ibuprofen.
I am slightly over weight because of bulimia.
I've had gluten sensitivity problems (makes me sluggish and hungry).
AND labyrinthitus in the past months.
No thyroid problems. Not diabetic.
Feeling it might be Fibromyalgia ?
I'm lost.
