What could cause my index finger to be numb and tingle when touching the joint of the finger?

The arm itself, feels fine, up until the wrist where there is small pain near the outer joint of the wrist. My pinky, connected to the aching joint, is fine. There is little to no numbness. The ring finger is the same as well. But my middle finger, index finger and thumb are definitely numb and slightly swollen. My index finger, though, is the only finger experiencing some pain along with the numbness and swelling. Things to note: I did not bang my elbow on anything.

the injury occured in the middle joint, joint that is above the knuckle. However on the inside of this joint (facing the middle finger) it looks bulged or rounded. I traced my finger over it and it is definitely rounded and very hard. I know the joints are naturally a bit roundish on the outside but this is large compared to the ring finger on my right hand. Also looking at it you can see the bulging. I was wondering if this is bone or a bone I was feeling?

It just started and was really harsh at first. The finger is a little red compared to my other fingers. Pressing on the joint or where it hurt reduces the pain significantly and now the pain is almost gone but there's a sort of numbness in the edge of the finger. I haven't been using the finger or anything while it happened. The pain resembles in a manner the pain after throwing something really hard and the pressure that accumulates at the edge of the hand fingers.

The pain wnet away after a minute, and I soon realized that a portion of my left middle finger was numb-specifically, the portion from the top joint on up to and including the fingerttip. Further, the majority of the numbness is on the tip and left side (side nearest the ring finger) of the upper middle finger rather than the right side. I've tried massaging, holding under both hot and cold water and it hasn't gone away.

specifically, the two finger joints of the pinky, the top joint of the ring finger, the central joint of the middle finger and sometimes the knuckle and central joint of the index finger. My thumb's central joint can be popped but causes no pain or tightness. Pressing my hand flat on a surface and forcing it to remain there causes tightness at the wrist and I can feel what can only be described as a 'spring effect' at the knuckles when I release.

During the day numbness and tingling from shoulder to finger tips. This has been going on for months. Any idea what is going on?

One is on the right side of my thumb joint and the other is on the right side of my pointer finger knuckle. There is numbness on that thumb near my fingernail. It has been there since I woke up. The red spots aren't raised or itchy or anything, just normal skin except reddened. It doesn't seem serious so I don't know if it merits a visit to the doctor as of yet. Any ideas? Thanks.

Besides my double vision, my second complain is neck strain and pain, which gives me also arm pain and even finger numbness. I also have these tremor-like feeling sometimes, I only can feel it but I barely can see it. 1) Could this tremor (vibration) feeling be an indicative of weakness? I've had a hard time interpreting this symptom. I feel them in my head, sometimes in my legs and sometimes in my whole body.

I also have the same thing going on at the same time with my left upper arm (not left joint or neck) but it is just an ache, I have free movement and the left side is not causing pain, just an ache, sometimes I will wake through the night and my ring finger and little finger will feel numb and tingly in my left hand.

I had CTS surgery 4 weeks ago which relieved the tingling and numbness in my thumb, index and middle finger. Prior to surgery I had numbness in all of my fingers on my right hand. They did an EMG and found loss to all my fingers. After surgery now both my ringfinger, little finger and that outer side of my hand are totally numb. I am also experiencing pain in the palm of my hand so bad that I have to take Ultram or Hydracodone.

What is weird is that i can feel a vein that is there in my finger. I can feel it when i touch the part above the numbness. Its really weird. I try feeling a vein in my other finger but cant find one. This is the first time it happen, and the left hand middle finger is the only place its happening. So please tell what i should do, in order to get rid of this numbness in my finger.

But it does hurt as well sometimes. I know where your coming from with the finger numbness pins needles etc not joints but tips of fingers as well as my numb left arm..

ll have very brief tinglining in my hands or feet or numbness in my pinky finger which is followed by more pain. The tingling/numbness lasts for only a few seconds or minutes. The pain continually moves around my body and I've experienced it regularly in both arms, both legs, back, and neck although it tends to favor my right side. I've also noticed that some of my muscles have started twitching slightly- my eyelid and some muscles in my legs.

I have tingling and numbness in my little finger on my left hand. Mt ring finger too, but not as bad.

Maybe my facial numbness/heavyness allong with my left hand/pinky-to-elbow numbness and left rib-to-mid back numbness(which resembles a precoursor attack of "Shingles") has something to do with that old injury? Have any of you had any minor or major, past or recent, injuries to the face or cranium? Maybe that would explain these unexplainable body weaknesses and symptoms? I get a dizzyness/heavyness sensation on the left side of my face.I slurr, and my eyes cross!

My left palm, pinky and ring finger, are driving me crazy. It gets red, and Itches horribly. I have had my whole arm go numb and then cramp. But this wont go away. A coworker thinks it might be a nerve. Please someone any suggestions, i have insurance, but can only afford to go when its serious. I feel like scratching it with a wire brush but nothing helps.

It started on a walk where the pain would build up in my left ankle till I had to stop, after resting for a bit I was able to walk again until it built up again. Later I started getting a numbness on the bottom of my left foot and over time it has spread to be on the bottom of both feet. I also get pain on the top of my right foot. Currently the new one is joint pain on right knee.

b) Would drastic action such as just amputating the little finger resolve the joint pain? My thinking is if it is no longer actually a joint the pain might go away? It really is that irritating and I could live without 1 little finger quite easily. Any advice much appreciated.
