Fainting zoloft

Common Questions and Answers about Fainting zoloft

fainting

Avatar n tn I am currently on zoloft for depression and sleep related problems but am coming off the medication with lowered dosages I also take loestrin. The last few times I was outside without any intense physical activity I experienced a numbness in my right foot followed minutes later by a blackout which would have resulted in me fainting had it not been for the fact that I have fainted before and can recognize when I am about to pass out before actually hitting the ground.
Avatar n tn I am now completing my second week on Zoloft. I have been three weeks off of xanax and still my panic symptoms persist. I have taken leave from work and am on my third week away. It seems that panic I experienced while driving which was akin to near fainting/black out has given me a phobia towards driving. I tried to go to work today and only got about twelve miles from home before starting back. I want my old life back.
Avatar f tn Im taking Zoloft and have been taking it a little over two months now. And i was just wondering if almost blacking out when i stand up or move to fast is a sympotm of the medication? Its really freaking me out and i need answers.
Avatar f tn Yesterday I started my Zoloft, starting at 50mg. Within a couple hours I was shaky, which sucked since I was at work. Later that day I started to have a bit of chest pain. Once I was able to relax it went away. Later I woke up at 5am and found it a bit hard to breathe, kind of like I couldn't catch my breath. Do these symptoms sound familiar to any other Zoloft users? Do these feelings go away?
1773104 tn?1314155711 Does anyone else have experience with Paxil (or generics) or Zoloft (or generics) or other like drugs? I was on a Paxil generic, Peroxatine after a very bad attack. The drug really messed with me bad and I almost lost my jobs because of how my body reacted to it. I have been switched to Zoloft generic and now I'm dizzy and feel like I'm on the edge of an attack leading to fainting. Is there anything, none drug, that can help with anxiety?
Avatar n tn My 19 year old daughter was diagnosed with neurocardiogenic syncopy in April of 2008. Since she has been treated with Fluorinef (.3), Zoloft. She has begun to have high blood pressure and now is fainting every day or so. They have weaned her to .1 Fluorinef at this point. The cardiologist has said it is not their problem, to see the neurologist. The neurologist is concerned and is sending us to another cardiologist. However, in the interim, the fainting is a problem in our minds.
Avatar f tn My daughter is 15 years old. She began fainting about 2 years ago. She is a perfectionist, over achiever and worrier. After MRIs of her brain, CAT scans, EKGs, EEGs, lab work and many 2nd opionions. She has been diagnosed with vasovagal syncope. In January 2008, her cardiologist started her on florinef and also had her increase her salt and water. After that, she went 4 months without an episode. We also started therapy with a psychologist. She had one episode in the spring of 2008.
Avatar n tn I decided to just go ahead and stop them altogether. The result has been heavy headedness to the point of near fainting. This has interferred greatly with my driving abilities; commuting to and from work. I've also experienced some de-realization; driving home this afternoon and not feeling my arms but feeling tingling and numbness in my face. I've never experienced such terrifying things in my life.

Avatar f tn I can not connect any food to it or pattern. Does this sound like a Gastroenterology or Cardiologist issue? I take zoloft for depression & clonopin for anxiety (heart flutters) & requip at night for resless leg syndrome.
Avatar n tn Im a 24 year female, and recently have been prescribed to antidepressants, and xanax for sleep, I tried lexapro, for a week, but I'm paranoid about side effects, and I started to feel very disoriented at night and had side effects such as, muscle twitching, ticking, confusion, wierd vision change, so I told my doctor this and I was exspecially concerned about the muscle twitching, I get it all over my legs, arms sometimes in my cheeks, and sometimes even my abdomen, my doctor kind of shrugge
Avatar n tn (We had full tests many times and the seizures are not epileptic/brain related). The past few years the anxiety has really risen (she is on Zoloft and doubled it a few months ago) and just now started Beta Blocker. I read all I can on POTS but somehow feel with the seizing and the young age onset that hers may be different. Sound familiar to anyone out there?

2198057 tn?1338531205 Hi there! I am on Zoloft as well. 50mg though. I have been on everything under the sun when it comes to psych meds and by far this is the best medicine I've been on. My depression is bareable and my anxiety was under control but due to some recent stressors i may have the dr increase to 75mg for a short while until this passes. I do not feel "high" on this drug, nor has it effected my weight and i am a very inactive person.
Avatar f tn I'm a 23 year old female and I have been having chest tightness for a little over 4 months. It started two months after I quit smoking. I was a smoker for 6 years. I've had multiple chest x rays, ct scan with contrast, upper endoscopy, pulmonary function test, stress test and an echo. Everything turned out fine on my test except I have little secretions in my chest he said I needed to cough up. I currently have a gastroenterologist, pulmonologist, cardiologist, and a psychologist.
Avatar f tn I was prescribed Zoloft first. The first day I took it, and the week following I had a very weird electric falling feeling randomly during the day. I was also very easily startled to where it would feel as though I was electrocuted for a split second through my whole body. After I realized this wasn't going away, my psychiatrist took me off of it, and started me on Celexa. It started off the same way that Zoloft did.
1298588 tn?1330318981 Why would this happen? I started taking 25 mg of Zoloft this week, and after taking my fourth pill was woken up in the middle of the night with severe nausea and a racing heart that dropped very suddenly to an extremely slow rate of 35 beats per minute. My heart rate has never been anywhere close to there. I also felt very dizzy and faint, and there was a loud ringing in my ears. I was positive my heart was about to stop.
Avatar m tn I have tried Cymbalta, Abilify, Elavil, Clonazepam, Ativan, Valium, Desipramine, and now Zoloft. I felt no affect from Zoloft 50mg so I was upped to 100mg. At 100mg my ROCD (relationship Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) kicked in at full force. I feel like my girlfriend is a stranger, and I can feel love. Terrible timing, since I need her more than ever. Anytime I am on too high of a dose of medicine, I get very bad ROCD.
Avatar f tn My daughter does suffer from anxiety and is taking Zoloft (50mg). She said she feels stressed @ school, where all these episodes are occuring, because she has missed so much and is behind. Lots of late assignments and missing work. We are working with school and have adapted her schedule to allow for the most non-stress make-up (added a study hall with extra help from teacher). Icing on cake though - she came down with stomach flu yesterday and is home today. :-( Appreciate your comments!
Avatar m tn I have been diagnosed with anxiety/panic attacks. I am on zoloft daily and ativan as needed. It seems to be well under control now. Have not had a panic attack on 5-6 months now, but these esophageal symptoms have gotten no better. Heart cath was good. Just recently had an upper endoscopy, all was good. I did have a nissen fundoplication for reflux. My reflux is 100% gone. I can eat things that I haven't for years. It is wonderful, but it did not make these symptoms better or worse.
Avatar m tn ve had doctors prescribe xanax alone, xanax and welbutrin, xanax and zoloft, and now klonopin and zoloft. I never take them, I just pay for them, try to believe I will take them, then put them away and never look at them again. I really need help and advice here, I have been suffering for so damn long and now I have yet another relationship about to break down and fail because of my panic disorder.

10777943 tn?1412955415 I'm the same, I get terrible fainting spells during pregnancy. I know its not low blood pressure because I've had preeclamplsia through both pregnancies but interestingly my iron levels have been really low particularly this pregnancy. I had an iron infusion last week and haven't fainted since. Maybe get your iron checked?
Avatar f tn I had fainting spells in the shower every time with my first two. I was anemic too. the doctor had me taking iron supplements twice a day and that stopped it.
