364288 tn?1300144506 Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend! I just had a quick question for you re: fainting. I've had a few spells on and off nothing to the point where I actually faint but I start feeling like I'm going to pass out. I get sweaty and I feel sick to my stomach. I talked to my Dr. about this and she didn't seem concerned. She said sometimes your blood pressure gets low and it you start feeling that way. Just wondering if anyone has felt like this before? It *****!!
Avatar n tn I mentioned to the doctor I had two fainting spells, first was November second was in January. No cause has been found. Could there be a connection? Also, explain colon inflammation please. Is that caused by the colitis? Thank you.
Avatar f tn I also have fainting spells. They happen once every 6-18 months, and have for the last 10 years...I'm 27. When this first started happening, I had every test imaginable and they found nothing. It's frustrating, but even more than that, it's scary. Last week I fainted from a standing position and smacked my face on the floor, resulting in a busted lip and a headache that hasn't gone away in the last 8 days - likely a concussion.

Avatar f tn A heart condition might be the reason for my fainting spells but why am I getting the severe cramping/spasms? If there is anyone out there who has had similar occurances please let me know. I would rather know than not know what is happening to me.

Avatar f tn I am a very stressed 21 yr old female, my body doesnt handle stress well. I have always had moderate to severe anxiety. I had a miscarriage last year and ever since then i have had these "fainting spells" I know before i pass out that im going to, for about 30-45 secs before i pass out i feel like the world is crumbling on top of me, like im being smothered and then i pass out. When I come to I vomit, everytime.
Avatar m tn Hi, I am a 21 year old male who had experienced spells of fainting since 10 year old. These fainting spells occur all of a sudden without me doing any physical demanding activities. I play a lot of sports and I eat healthily. Over the years my fainting spells got lesser and lesser. 2 Months ago, I fainted again. I went for a specialist check up and had a bunch of tests taken. ECG test came negative, Tilt Table came negative. My heart rate is healthy, BP is normal.
Avatar m tn My mother has had bouts of fainting and light headedness. Sometimes they come weekly and other times not for 2 months. This has been going on since 2007. She has been admitted to hospital on a number of occasions but each time they have not come to any conclusions as to a diagnosis. These attacks of light headedness last 2-5 minutes. She slurs her speech, gets pins and needles in her arms, and sometimes but not always faints.
Avatar n tn I have had a CT scan and Stress Test and blood work which they all say are normal the pains continue to get more frequent and I have fainting spells with them. It happens even when I am just resting. Now, I have developed a chest pressure that doesn't move under my left breast slightly near the middle of my chest. I have been back and forward to doctors and no one is able to tell me anything.
Avatar f tn Because you say that these spells happen more when you are under stress, I am wondering if it is a blood sugar drop. Try eating cheese and crackers when you get the spell to see if that pulls you out of it. Then, you will know it is blood sugar. Usually, within 15 to 20 minutes after eating you will straighten out. Otherwise, if it's your heart try taking an 81mg aspirin daily. See if either remedy works. If you do have a severe blood sugar drop, drink juice.
Avatar n tn I had posted a while ago about having dizzy spells and recent onset of lots of PVC's. I've had a 24hr holter, a 30 day event monitor and am on my second 48hr monitor now. The cardiologist had told me that I had a lot of PVCs going on when I had the dizzy spells. I falsely assumed he meant NSVT. He put me on verapamil and scheduled a follow-up. I feel better on the verapamil and have even found that I wake up in the morning much more easily which is a huge plus for me.
Avatar n tn I try to tell them this is more than fainting spells, but they have never seen it happen, so they say she is just fainting. I captured it on video a few days ago to show the neurologist. She is also bipolar and on medication for that. It looks like seizures to me, but i'm not a doctor. What could this be????
Avatar f tn Another good thing to check out is potential pregnancy. That can sometimes cause fainting/near-fainting spells. I'm not saying this is your issue. Just saying it's something simple that has the potential to cause the symptoms.
Avatar m tn The cardiologist has ruled out cardiac reasons for the near fainting spells. They seem to be more frequent and intense during the fevers. Could it be nerve damage related? I've been getting adequate fluid intake, so don't think that's part of it. What other possibilities are there? Also, he was able to rule out heart valve vegetations, clots and infection. None of them are related to what's happening in the nervous system.
Avatar f tn Just before I found out what it was, I already resigned from my work because of lightheadedness and fainting spells. Now, I am only staying at home and I rarely feel that way. I'm only experiencing awareness of heartbeat and palpitations. But sometimes I can't even sleep alone because I have a feeling that I will faint. When I go out, I need to have someone beside me because I always feel that something will happen. And I am also overly sensitive to noise and light.
Avatar f tn I had one the other day. Not sure if it will happen again. But i heard once uou faint it will happen again. When i fainted theyncalled 911.
403255 tn?1278813266 Bloo pressure is fine has been 100/60 since I got pregnant until Monday when it was 121/73 (had a bit of stress on way to Docs) My lab tech took it yesterday after school about 15 minutes after my dizzy spell and it was 111/73. All of these are healthy so it's not my BP. Obviously will try 1-4 but have any of you ladies any suggestions or have you had this????
Avatar f tn I am a 19 years old female and I have migraines with aura, and I've had them since I was 14 years old. Recently I've started having fainting spells with black outs, loss of hearing, shortness of breath, tunnel vision and severe SEVERE dizziness. The first time i fainted, i couldn't hear anything and my vision got blurry, hit my head hard on the desk as I fell while getting out of bed to get some water. Two days later, I had a migraine episode, the worst ever.
4545793 tn?1394592544 So im 17 weeks and 2 days and I was reading about 18 weeks and it says theres a chance of u fainting bc all of the increased blood flow..
Avatar f tn I have always been prone to fainting due to being anemic so easily.. When I got pregnant it got worse and I fainted more.. I started taking iron capsules and pre natals with iron..
Avatar f tn I had horrible timing with my fainting spells last pregnancy. I was always really sick with morning sickness and once I passed out while on the stairs and fell down half of them. Woke up at the bottom of the stairs so confused. It's an unfortunate thing but also a bit normal. The amount of blood in your body is increasing and that is usually what causes it. If it happens a lot you should definitely go in and get some blood work done.
