Friday i was in the hospital for fainting episodes but all test came back normal nothing to worried about and then after they put me the fetus machine to monitor the baby's heart beat and contractions. No joke i was having lots of them in the hospital every 5 minutes thanks to the nurse she controlled my contractions. But when they checked my cervix it was a fingertip. and my uterus was still way in their. Is that mean something like pre-term labor or something else???
I told my family about this and they thought it was some joke. This then happened a couple months after the first time. I would finish but i would somehow end up fainting and fall to the ground. I've never experienced such a thing, when using the restroom late at night. I thought it had stopped since it hadn't been having this problem. Then lately I've been having diarrhea problem. like 85% of the time I would have diarrhea. I don't really know what to do.
In my experience, EKGs are terribly dependent on the tech who applies the electrodes. Also, EKGs can give a lot of false positives.
But they are valuable. They are a screening technique, and in general, their value is that they are a way to look for anything funny that might be going on in the heart department.
If you don't have weird symptoms like fainting for no reason, or breaking into a cold sweat or barfing while walking up plain old stairs, you're probably fine.

Now my cardiologist says I need surgery to correct the valve within a year. Would it be wise to go on BP medication in the meantime? Would it be safe with a baseline BP of 102/52?

Very good! I heard the newfie birthday joke told by a man at his 90th birthday party. My husband missed the fact that he wasn't telling a real first person story and his reaction of horror was even funnier than the joke. I'll pass the You're a Newfie If... to my cousin in Alaska. Holy heck Rosy it surely is no joke. Especially when you add chronic pain to the mix. Amazing though coming here and finding how many others are suffering the same misery, gives strength to know you're not alone.

I had one the other day. Not sure if it will happen again. But i heard once uou faint it will happen again. When i fainted theyncalled 911.
