Common Questions and Answers about Fainting in warm rooms

fainting

Avatar n tn Loss of conscious in any emergency room I have every worked in mandates an overnight stay for observation. This is not the case in certain emergency rooms in Somalia and Afghanistan, and a little Island off the coast of Iceland notorious for practicing polygamy, but everywhere else, that is the drill. Clearly a neurological event took place, which seems to have been consistent with a petit mal seizure, etiology unknown.
Avatar f tn I took a warm water bath last day. After I got out of the bath I felt dizzy.I walked up to the door , and sat on the floor. After this I have no memory.I was later told that I was found between the tub and the toilet(no where I sat),with my eyes open and unconscious. I remember flashes of events and I remember telling that I am fine but I was not able to be fully conscious. It lasted for about 15-20 minutes. I was told that sprinkling water and slapping my face made no effect on me.
Avatar f tn Sounds like she showers in the morning? Before breakfast? What about a little low blood sugar? Tossing out thoughts.
Avatar f tn Happened to me 4 weeks ago in Subway. I must sit down as soon as I get warm/hot.
Avatar f tn This all started 5 years ago when i was singing in a chorus and i started to feel weird and i went blind and then i passed out and fell over, stood back up and then passed out again, and it was completely random and i wasnt nervous or anything but i was really warm.
Avatar n tn s good to avoid cold environment such as air conditioned rooms, however if you have to stay in there, as in your place of work, keep warm, and take an antihistamine. It's also good that you see a dermatologist who would be in a better position to help out.
1534233 tn?1523388856 After a warm bath I sometimes feel quite unwell, especially if I decide to do something a bit physical like vacuuming or making beds etc. Happened today, felt hot and just a bit rotten for a while. Took my BP which was quite low - 92/62 i was ok after 15 mins. Am I feeling like this because of the low blood pressure? Is BP that low unusual after a 45min bath? I have never fainted by the way. Thanks.
Avatar m tn As you have tried different lotions and potions that have not worked, try getting your husband to soak his feet in some warm water with baby oil. You can also try soaking the feet in salty water if the baby oil does not work. Applying natural set live yogurt to the cleaned and dry areas that are bothering him, will also help to reduce any inflammation and itching. If his feet perspire a lot, applying some Bicarbonate of Soda into his boots will help to get rid of any moisture - and odour.

Avatar f tn I go to Kaiser and they have computers in the rooms and its so annoying that they are typing and looking at the monitor the whole time your talking to them. I understand they are taking notes what you are saying, etc. But I find it very rude and uncomfortable. Like they aren't paying attention.
Avatar f tn I haven't done a lot of exercise in the past few years. Recently, I joined a softball team for the first time in 5 years. The first practice that we had, we stretched, ran to the fence and back, and then threw the ball back and forth. Immediately following throwing, I felt very light-headed and sick to my stomach. I ended up vomiting.
Avatar n tn My first panic attacks started because I started fainting as a child of 4. Gradually, I grew afraid of fainting and had panic attacks about the fear of fainting. Now, that fear is basically gone, but unfortunately the panic attacks are not. Just now when I have panic attacks, I am pretty certain I won't pass out.
Avatar f tn That does happen to some people during pregnancy. The increased blood volume in your body can do that. Or if your glucose level gets too low. Even getting too warm can cause it. Try and drink more water and maybe eat some healthy snacks throughout the day. I would mention it do your doctor though just so they are aware of it.

492869 tn?1285018933 With the frequent fainting episodes often associated with Autonomic Dysfunction, I'd appreciate some insight from the community on how to prevent injuries. I, (like many here I'd assume), have had multiple head injuries resulting from my faints. I've fallen into furniture, down flights of stairs, etc. It's a concern of mine, even more so after my most recent head injury. Last summer a couple of us posted ideas about tolerating the summertime heat.
Avatar m tn I have been in and out of the rooms for a few years - everyone talks about "The Promises" Don't know why I can't grasp/embrace AA - I know I haven't given it my full efforts - I know I can't do it alone. I hate alcohol.
Avatar f tn When I picked him up he had a 1 inch laceration on the back of his head that was open and bleeding. I Rushed him to the er where we sat for almost 4 hrs due to no open rooms available. When the dr finally came in, she cleaned it and glued it shut but was not sure if it would hold. She told me if it comes open to just control the bleeding because they can not close it again due to risk of infection. I was curious if that was proper protocol for a head injury.

Avatar f tn It happened two other times this month. It usually happens in the morning. The only time that I experienced this in the past was in March following an abdominal surgery. I have a history of hypoglycemia but my blood sugar level was normal at home prior to my leaving for work and in the ER. The doctors say that my blood test results are normal. I do not want to experience this at work again.

Pretty much my urine sample came back good an the ultrasound showed that I may have possibly had a stone. They told me to go home rest take a warm bath heating pad take Tylenol an nyquil to help me sleep an if the pain didn't go away to call my doc first thing in the morning. I was up all night with the pain.
Avatar n tn I have copied this out for you, it happens quite frequently While there are uncommon serious causes of passing out in children, the majority of fainting episodes are brought about by reasons that are neither serious nor life-threatening. The most common reason for fainting in children is called vasovagal syncope [VAY-so-VAY-gull SEENK-oh-pee). Vasovagal syncope is an abnormal reaction of the nerves to otherwise normal circumstances. These nerves dictate the heart rate and blood pressure.
