fainting during flying

Recently I was diagnosed as sick sinus syndrome and recommend a permanent pace maker. I have never experienced any fainting episode during my life. Please comment on my suitable for flying and doing the surgery as recommended by the specialist.

I have had 3 syncope episodes while flying on a commerical airline this past year. My PCP and cardiologist feel there is no correlation to NCS and being in a pressurized cabin. Is there anyone here on the board who has had a similar experience as a passenger?

I have been diagnosed with vasovagel syncope which is a fainting when your blood pressure lowers. This fainting seems to occur more often when I am flying in a plane. How can I avoid this"? Is the pressure lower in some planes more than others?

If you are flying a US airline they require pregnant stewardesses to stop flying after 28 weeks. They will at that point require a note from your Dr. clearing you to fly, so it will be up to your Dr.

m supposed to start heparin next cycle during this last week of the tww as well) anyhow, anyone think that flying could hurt our chances? anyone get preg during this time when flying? If we have a trip, plus flying and other things that might interfere i might decide to wait one more cycle (thats assuming my cysts are gone and i get a choice of course!) but i just really hate to wait,, since my endo is so bad- every month counts! rod-scarlet has been dubbed the fainting goat for when i first got her she stood in a heavy rain then fell over like a fainting goat and lie on the ground like aaaahhhh this feels good!sissy-27 years ago i got out of inpatient at this time and it was my first sober holiday it was strange difficult but i persevered to be here today!

Did u try finding out the reason?? I know fainting can be caused by many things during pregnancy but some can lead to more complex situation.. U ahould consult ur doctor as it could be due to high or low blood pressure or dehydration etc...

I am currently 18 weeks pregnant and since i was 12 weeks I have the tendancy to faint, i feel fine one minute and then the next im on the ground,but when i snap out of it i feel realllly energetic,its kinda weird. I asked my DOC about this and she said I need to get more snacks in during the day But I eat ALOT at least every 2 hours. I've heard this is normal through many pregnancies, but has anyone else experienced this? Thanks for anyone who can help.

the first time i faint was on my first day in Gym, which the coach assured me its natural ! then after few weeks i got a feeling that i can't take my breath to the max capacity of my lungs but those symptoms went away after a couple of weeks ..

Is it normal for one to experience lightheadedness and fainting during menstruation? It's happened to me so many times before, typically as soon as my period/cramping starts I'll feel lightheaded, sweaty, and I'll fall to the floor and sit with my head on my knees. Occasionally this happens in the shower, or upon standing up if i wake up with my period, or even if it starts while I'm seated during a class.

For one stretch I was flying 2-3 times a month for about 18 months. My flying these days is down to once a year, most recently to Canada for vacation. I've never had any MS related issues associated with flying. I have also not had any problems bringing injectable meds. I just make sure that everything has the proper prescription label.

Since this will be first trip since tx, what advise would you have with flying etc.... Btw I do have my flight leaving in the morning, and I will be there during shot.....
