My 5yr old daughter has had 4 episodes of fainting the first two been the worst i was called to school as she fainted when standing (not doing anything energetic) the teacher noticed blue around her mouth i took her to gp and while waiting in waiting room she was on my knee very pale(grey in colour face and lips and blue around her mouth she passed out in my arms and was unconcious for around 20mins the doctors lay her on bed and rang ambulance her face was grey in colour and lips the same colou
Have you had his CBC checked to see if he is anemic? Especially, if he has nosebleeds. (I'm considering a nosebleed like my daughter used to have where there is blood everywhere and he has to have pressure plugs put into his nose to help stop the bleeding) There are many reasons for a teen to pass out; anything from too low blood sugar to low blood pressure. Dehydration can also cause someone to pass out. One question I have is he dizzy or lightheaded?
I am a 16 year old female, and for about the past half of a year, I've been getting nosebleeds at an increasing regularity. I haven't been hit on the head before these nosebleeds, and I haven't jarred myself. I also don't feel them coming on at all. The last time that I had a nosebleed, which was a little less than a week ago, I also coughed up a little bit of blood, but I'm pretty sure that was only because it was in my sinuses.
I agree with JDRF-VOL-RL that the nosebleeds are more likely to be caused by something other than type 1 diabetes. I had nosebleeds at about the same age, and in my case it was allergy-related. My doctors suggested that I would "outgrow" the problem, and this is indeed what happened. It wasn't fun at the time, but it all stopped by the time I was about a junior in high school. No nosebleeds since then. I would ask his doctor about other allergy meds, or perhaps allergy shots.
Yesss I never had nosebleeds either until I got pregnant and now I have them all the time out of the SAME nostril every time. It's so weird lol.

He gave me some mild pain medication and a muscle relaxer, that didn't help. I've been back to see him and he said I should try an ice pack, which I have and that doesn't help either. My daughter used to get nosebleeds almost everyday, especially when she would take a shower. I had to take her to the doctor a few times because it was so bad. I myself had the same problem as a kid. Hi, I am a 22 year old male and for the past 4 years or so I've been having nosebleeds about once every 4 days on average. The nosebleeds are always out of my left nostril and only last a few minutes. I think that they used to bleed heavier than they do currently. They occur all year around and my blood pressure is normal, maybe a little high. I'm not overweight but am out of shape and get little exercise.
I have infrequent nosebleeds and was prescribed Premarin cream for my nasal passages. I also have eustation tube dysfunction and was wondering could all this be related? My father also had nose bleeds and formed a clot and died from a pulmonary embolism. Is there any other way to tell why my nose bleeds? During the nosebleed there were two big clots one in the beginning and the end and a steady flow through out it. After it was done I felt dizzy and started seeing some spots. I'm O negative, so I have to get the shots too. I had asked my dr about the nosebleeds, and she was the one to tell me it was normal. Also bleeding gums is normal too, which is kinda gross lol.
I'm 16 weeks with my second and experiencing the same. This one is a girl and is overall way worse than being pregnant with my son was.

Hi,I have recently went to my doctor, and she changed my dosage of my medication. Well lately, I have been getting these bad nose bleeds when i wake up and/or at random times. I called her and she said she don't know what could be causing them. So i was just wondering maybe if someone can tell me if this is normal or not.
I had been taking Prozac, then Celexa, and developed the rare side effect of nosebleeds. I had to stop taking the medication because of this, and there has been a big negative effect on my life. My doctor says that all of the anti-depressant medications have this side effect. Is there an alternative?
I went to blow my nose and all that came out was blood! Now its like a fountain. Gross I know sorry yall lol. Just seeing if anyone else has had this problem too.
