For about a month i had an itchy spot on my neck and though nothing of it, but when i got an itchy red spots on both my arms i figured it was just dry skin from working in cold weather. last week i went to my doctors and they said it is ring worm. they gave me a cream to put on it twice a day after about 5 days they seemed to be getting better but yesterday and today i noticed more of them developing and the ones i already have are getting bigger! Why is this happening if im using the cream?
Oh and you do need to wash all your stuff and stay away from pets because they can get your ring worm. It's very contagious so wash and clean everything. I would keep hand sanitizer next to you all the time as well.
There is no pain, itching, or discharge, just a red ring. I looked up ring worm and the pictures look similar but I have none of the symptoms that come along with ring worm except the actual ring, I also did not find any information about ring worm located inside the navel, maybe it is not very common? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've had ring worm for approximately a month and a half on the inside of my finger. It's in the shape of a ring, it's definitely ring worm. I've been applying antifungal cream (clotrimazole cream) two times a day, sometimes missing a day. But I've been pretty good about it. Recently it started to develop these little bumps that look like black heads, and itched a lot. I popped them, dried my hand off and applied more cream...
It could also be ring worm. It is dry and/ or itchy or look like a target? How large are we talking about? In either case I would in to see a doctor either way. If it is a target rash of lymes then you want them to see it and treat you with antibiotics right away. If it is ring worm then a prescription strength anti-fungal cream will work. The over the counter stuff won't work for ring worm it is a differnt kind of fungus. Please see a doctor soon.
Is there anything still in the skin anything may look like a tick needs pulling out, if not could have been a bug, also could be ring worm, you say it doesn't hurt of sting. it will need some treatment if it is anything like ring worm,so I really would take her to the doctor to have it checked out ..god luck let us know what they say .
and so we gonnah give it a few days of slef treat meant as if it where ring worm then go to doctor if it dosnt clear up.

Its looks like a ring worm but I don't think it that?
After visiting four doctors, yet total of six visits, I have been told it was ring worm/fungal, now ezema. I have not been told how to treat this, nor have any test been done. This rash, six months later has spread to her mouth and to the other eye. It has a red outline and the center has raised hive like patches. The skin surrounding looks darker than her normal color. She complains of pain to the touch yet very little itching.
Earlier i miss understood this as Psoriasis (Which I already have for 5 years) but later after 4 weeks after i met the doctor it was identified as Tinea (Ring worm rash) and he gave some medicine for that. Now it is controlling. Do I have a risk of acquiring HIV by her vaginal fluids touching on my rash.
During past few weeks I had several symptoms but not together or in a systematic way. I had body aches, and also neck + back pain.
For many years I have had, what looks like, Ring Worm in my groin area where the elastic from Jockey Shorts touch the skin. It normally starts in the crease between the inside of my thigh and the and scrotum area, as well as the top sides of the pubic. It basically follows the area the jockey shorts follow.The ring starts small and then after a week or so enlarges till it disappears. It is never itchy. It has never spread any further than inside the crease of the scrotum and thigh.

From the symptoms it sounds like ring worm or fungal infections. Wash your skin daily and then dry thoroughly by pat drying,not rubbing. The damp skin is an ideal site for fungi to multiply.Also wear cotton underwears and change them twice a day. and do not share other people’s towels. Most cases of ring worm respond to over-the-counter products, which contain any of several basic ingredients: miconazole, tolnaftate, terbinafine,ketaconazole and clotrimazole.
Before I started to exsparance symptons I had a large ring worm out break on my groin, I used the meds the doctor gave me and it slowly started to go away until jock itch appeared and my balls turned red and I felt a itching and burning sensation, this went away and came back twice, I then started to exsparance little shiny red patches on the foreskin of my penis and the head of my penis had a cold sensation.
it is very hot and i stopped using deoderant because was told was ringworm..without any testiing done other than i had my vet use a uv light and he said usually if ring worm it glows but it didnt so my vet said not ring worm my pets and fam do not have this just me and it itches horribly and even using the athlete foot cream is not making it any better at all....what is this??? any idea??
Hi, it looks to me like it COULD be ring worm, which is a fungal infection. I hope that's what's wrong with your cat, but I wouldn't assume. Bring your cat to the vet and get a definite answer. If it turns out to be ring worm, he will give you a formula that is safe for cats that will heal him up in no time. The over the counter products that treat human fungal infections are not safe and can be poisonous for cats, so do not use them.
