Avatar m tn s had problems with holding her urine. At times it will just come out. She was put on a med. from the Vet. Does anyone know of a generic brand or natural one that will do the same. I can't keep going back paying office visits everytime she needs a new med.
Avatar f tn I was on a brand name HRT sequential regime for years consisting of 2 weeks of estrogen and 2 wks Of progesterone added. Them my doc wanted me to try a generic estrogen which I would Lake for three months and then add or take progesterone for a few days. When I did this and got to the progesterone part, after two days I felt weak, couldn’t think straight, had trouble walking, had vision problems.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed w/hashimoto's at around age 50. I am now 56 and have been on .075mcg generic levothyroxine for the past 6 yrs. I am also past menopause but continue to have hot flashes. they subside for a while but about every 3 months or so come back w/ a vengeance. i am taking various menopausal vitamins and supplelments, but those have stopped working and again the flashes are back. i am now beginning to wonder if the hot flashes are related to the thyroid and not menopause.
Avatar f tn Just to clarify - There are Estrace tablets (name brand and generic) that are used for systemic estrogen and there is also an Estrace vaginal cream to treat vaginal atrophy. I use the tablets. Both forms require a prescription in the U.S. I have been using the tablets since early 2013. However, after stopping the patch, I used a different form which got my estrogen level up. I then switched to the tablets which do a good job of maintaining my level.
Avatar n tn suggested that she discontinue her birth control pill which contains 35 mcg. estrogen. The head aches occur during her period and the pill days, too. Is there a birth control pill that does not cause migrains? She was on the 25 mcg "low" estrogen pill, but she had an ovarian cyst.
1134609 tn?1269272200 ----I stabilized completely last summer and I was on the brand name version of the medication. When I switched over to the generic, I started having problems and had to increased the dose from 900mgs to 1600mgs over the space of a few months. Any changes in the dosages over this time dropped me into a deep depression and I HAD to drop the dosage many times because it was agitating me. I just assumed it was because I was adjusting to the medication.
1515688 tn?1328151024 Can you inject generic hcg (10000 units) sub-q instead of IM? Sub-q is much less painful and since I'm giving myself the shot, it's easier :-) Thank you!
Monster Hi, I have been on seasonique (generic) for over a year now. Ever since that time my body has gone down hill with a lot of things such as skin problems, nail problems, hair dryness, no libido. I was wondering if it could be the seasonique doing it?
Avatar f tn m not sure if Armour would be covered by Medicaid or not, because Medicaid typically only covers generics (without a medically sound reason for brand name) and there is no generic Armour. Your co-pay will depend on the insurance you have. I'm on Tirosint and my co-pay is about $54/mo; my co-pay for generic T3 med is about $9 for 90 days, but I have pretty fair insurance. Not getting the treatment you need is always a chance you take whenever changing doctors.
233759 tn?1210476796 ) I heard a pharmasist say that the drug companies are going to stop making Armour...he said he can no longer get the generic version because the drug companies stopped making it & he believes the brand name Armour is going to be stopped too. I do know that I can no longer buy the generic equivulant anywhere. Have you heard anything about this? 2.) I feel really stupid for asking this question.
Avatar f tn My blood work came back and I have low estrogen levels. The insurance won't cover the medication I was prescribed. Does anyone have an idea of a generic brand I can take or something over the counter?
2121656 tn?1395674749 I do have a link. I wasn't sure if I could post it in Medhelp, being that the Dr.'s name is attached & previously learned when I mentioned a Endo's name. That that's not allowed. However, I will glady share the link. Watch the video's that explain this Dr.'s reasoning's and procedure's. Tell me what you think? http://smoothsolutionsmed.****om/bioidentical.
Avatar f tn I have been taking Cryselle (thats the generic name - I think it may be the Lo Loestrin but check with you dr). I have been on it for a few years now and haven't had any problems with weight. I may get a zit here and there but NOTHING near a breakout by any means.
Avatar f tn what is a generic drug?
Avatar n tn 0 down to 0.
Avatar n tn Over the past year, the pharmacy substituted the generic for brand, which I was unaware of. I also discontinued estrogen replacement therapy during this time. when I had my TSH, T-3 and T-4 done, my levels were indicative of hyperthyroidism. My TSH was 0.04. I was extremely symptomatic with hot flashes, mood swings, insomnia etc, but dismissed it to stopping the estrogen. My ALT/AST liver enzymes are also minimally elevated. Has anyone else experienced this?
Avatar f tn Yes it's totally legal. If you want more information there's a guy on the internet who outlines the process, whether you travel abroad or order online. He actually wrote a book and started a blog on it. He also started a buyer's club but no need to go that route. His name is Greg Jefferys, google his name for more information.
538782 tn?1213809348 I'm new to this website. Question, I'm soon to be taking my third dose of clomid. I haven't picked up my prescription yet but, i'm lost.. I don't know whether to take the generic or name brand. Ive been taken the generic(clomiphene citrate) for the past two cycles with no luck.. Dr said he would rather me be on the brand name. It is more expensive. I don't know what to do.
Avatar n tn My question concerns Synthroid. On Dec 04, 2006 at 12:00AM, Mark Lupo, M.D. said in answer to a question: "Levoxyl is another brand -- there is no advantage to Synthroid. Protecting the brand has advantages over generic regarding consistency of levels. the generic is levothyroxine". Huh? What on earth does that answer mean? "Protecting"? "consistency of levels?
Avatar n tn What is the generic name, chemical name, classification and contraindications for Lyvoxil?
Avatar f tn ve taken, both, generic levothyroxine (T4) and liothyronine (T3), as well, as brand name Synthroid and Cytomel. I did better on on generic levo than I did on Synthyroid... I've been taking generic liothyronine for over 5 yrs and have done just as well as I did on Cytomel. I don't think you'll have any difficulty, with generic T3, but if you do, you can always go back to Cytomel.
Avatar n tn I take synthroid and was wondering if the generic is just as good? Someone told me to never take the generic so I pay extra for the name brand. TIA!
Avatar n tn I have insurance and the copay on my generic script is usually about $2-4 for the whole month and the brand name was over $200 WITH insurance. Does anyone know of an insurance plan that covers these brand drugs to an affordable rate or any way to get a lower price on the brand name?
